*CHAPTER 30: MY TURN*

The war still continued.

Dead bodies of alien beasts lay fallen everywhere on the black sand of Aethelgard Prime, blood mixing with sea foam, while Leo headed straight towards the android.

Whatever the case was, he knew he was really in for it. This android was not the same one he fought before. It had upgraded more than it was before, taller, heavier, its alien bone armor grown into its steel. It wanted to fight him to the core.

"You can do it, Leo," Rose called from

---"What do we have, Julian? Talk to me!" Leo blurted, eyes locked on the swarm outside. They had to ignore the beasts and get to the mission. The plane wouldn't hold much longer. The alien beasts were more vicious than ever. Super strength rippled through their jaws as they tore at the hull. Metal screamed. Sparks rained across the viewport. The whole craft shuddered."I'm initiating a nanotech bionic shield to protect from the flying alien beasts," Julian said, voice straining over the system. The shield flared blue, translucent, wrapping the plane. It held only seconds. Almost useless. The beasts were already chewing through, claws punching into the fuselage, teeth finding seams."It's not working, Julian," Henry shouted, bracing his boots against the deck as the plane lurched hard left."Julian, we need something else," Leo added, jaw tight, codex light crawling up his forearm."I'm so sorry, I can't do much more than what I have done," Julian replied, guilt clear. "It's somethin

Johnson's fury bled into the air itself. The office on Level Six had gone dead silent. The kind of silence that comes before someone loses their head. His subjects stood with their shoulders locked, eyes lowered, breathing shallow."How?" Johnson's voice cut through the steel and glass. Cold. Controlled. Lethal. "How did they breach my perimeter while my own subjects were en route to see me? In my own tower? On Level Six?"No one moved."What exactly happened?" His jaw tightened, the fury in his face no longer cold but burning white hot behind his eyes.Finn stepped forward too quickly. Panic made him stupid."I'm so sorry, Chancellor. I really don't understand what happened," he blurted. From the corner of his eye, Rihanna shot him a look. Sharp. Cutting. The kind of look that said you just made it worse.Finn swallowed.Rihanna stepped forward, her posture perfect, her voice calm but edged with steel."Chancellor. We have a mole," she said. "This wasn't a random breach. The timing w

---*Chapter 39: Extraction*Code X tightened his grip on the light-blade. The hum of it filled the cave.He turned his head slightly to look at Rose, his eyes glowing with the ring's energy."Stay behind me. No matter what happens, do not break formation," he said. Then he charged. What happened next made Rose freeze. He didn't just run at the beasts. He launched, rolled in mid-air, twisted his entire body like a coiled spring, and came down slashing. It was fluid. Brutal. Beautiful. It was exactly how Leo fought.Rose had seen Leo fight a hundred times in training sims. That same acrobatic precision, that same economy of movement. But this was different. Code X wasn't just copying.Henry fought by letting the ring do everything. Leo fought as a full agent, his body itself was the weapon. Code X was in between. He was using the ring, yes — the super strength, the super speed — but he was adding his own experience. His own years of surviving Level Five. Every slash was calculated. Eve

*Chapter 39: Level Five*"Damn it! I knew it! Coming here was almost a suicide mission, even with Johnson gone," Code X cursed under his breath. The air in Level Five was different. Colder. Thicker. It pressed against their lungs like it didn't want them breathing here.Rose didn't look at him. Her eyes were fixed on the woman lying on the medical slab. Her mother. Still asleep. Her chest rising and falling slowly, too slowly. But her mind was awake — Rose could feel it. Faint, like a whisper through a wall."What do we do now? We have to get her out. And we have to do it clean. No alarms, no one seeing us," Rose said, her voice shaking. "She's only reaching me telepathically. She can't wake herself up yet."Code X scanned the corridor. The lights were dimmed to emergency red. He knew what that meant."I don't know, Rose. I honestly don't," he admitted, running a hand through his hair. "But there's a service route. Old maintenance tunnel. It bypasses the main floor. Cameras are dead r

--- Chapter 37: Null-Point Island - Level Five "Yes, you are here in Level Five," the alien said, his voice still inside Rose's head. "I know where she is. As you can see, I have been restricted by Johnson, so I cannot communicate with her directly. But I can use you to break the barrier." Rose listened, her heart pounding. "I can help you break through," he continued. "Johnson secured that facility too well, especially the area where your mother is. No normal hack can reach her. Only your blood can." Rose stared at his glowing violet eyes. The connection felt warm and strange, like a memory she never had. "What's your name then? What should I call you?" she asked. "You can call me Ronah," he said. "It's my alien name. It's what I want to be called here." Slowly, in the dream, their hands touched. The moment their fingers linked, Rose felt a jolt. It wasn't painful. It was powerful. A vibration ran from his hand into her chest. She could feel it. They were from the same planet

*Chapter 36: Null-Point Island - Enemy Base Level Six*Finn's mind went completely blank as he stood before Chancellor Johnson.Johnson was furious. His face was red, veins bulging on his forehead. The entire command room on Level Six had gone silent."Do you have any idea what you did?" Johnson roared. "You summoned those beasts in your sleep! You could have killed everyone on this level!"Finn flinched. His throat was dry. "I'm sorry, Chancellor. I didn't do it intentionally. I didn't know I was summoning them.""Explain it then!" Johnson slammed his fist on the console. "Explain how three Class-C Rippers appeared inside the barracks!"Finn swallowed. The dream was still fresh."I was dreaming," he said quietly. "I was dreaming about him. About Leo. About everything he took from me. The last time we fought, he humiliated me in front of everyone. In the dream, I wanted revenge. I was angry, and I must have triggered the codex without knowing."He looked up, pleading. "It wasn't on pu
