2022-09-12 21:15:04Sergeant Clinton and Detective Sam booked an appointment with the commissioner of police and had a meeting arranged. They spent a few minutes at the reception before it was their turn to enter the commissioner’s office. The commissioner wasn’t aware of their presence if not he would have said they should have been led to the guest room instead of office.
“Oh, My God. I can’t believe you’ve been sitting there at the reception since,” the commissioner said.
“Yes, sir, we have. We just have to follow the normal protocol and I am glad we were given an audience going through that,” Detective Sam said.
The commissioner stood up, “let’s go to the lounge. You guys will get served some drinks. I am certain you’ve come here concerning the latest development which was assigned to you.”
They nodded and walked behind him till they reached the lounge. The commissioner ordered two of his staff to get them drinks to use and accompany their discussion.
“So what’s the new development?” The commissioner asked.
“We’ve concluded the perfect strategy to employ in order to bring down the hardened criminal, Herbert Halloway,” Detective Sam said.
“Oh, really?” The commissioner exclaimed.
Sam nodded.
“We need nothing less than five female Supernumenary police to use to hoodwink Herbert Halloway. Our records have shown that the method never failed and if we employ it, it might be a success in the end.”
The police commissioner exhale.
“That’s a good idea. Drawing from some of what the Mushin DPO said, I think they have tried something similar and it failed. Are you certain he won’t learnt of it and later killed these ladies? Because, I have thought several times that these guy isn’t ordinary. Maybe he is kind of fetish and used all kinds of traditional means to protect himself.”
Sergeant Clinton smiled. He had been quite since listening to their conversation and almost finished the wine that he was served. He was about filling his glass mug when he saw the need to contribute. It seemed the police commissioner wanted to undermine or have a little faith in the strategy disclose to him by Sam.
“I thought we were specialist that’s why we were given. We discussed it with the DPO and he also made a similar remark as yours. I did advise that we go with it and see what comes off it. Perhaps, those who were said to have been discovered as spy in the past lived with him. This will be different, we just need five best female Supernumenary police from you. Grant it!”
The police commissioner went mute for a few minute. He didn’t want any life to go anymore with itThey kept losing more ground in Mushin as a result and crimes there kept soaring like a yeasted flour.
Sergeant Clinton and Detective Sam were mute gulping the wine into their oesophagus yearning for the response of the commissioner. The commissioner seemed to have come to a conclusion in his psyche and had been thinking of the best among the females who worked with him that would be suitable.
“Do you know what?”
Clinton and Sam paused as they heard him talked.
“What’s that?” Sam asked.
“I will give you guys ten Supernumenary police and you will conduct a test. I don’t know the kinda method you are going to employ to conduct it. Are you okay with that?”
“Yes, of course. Let them be sexy and kinda busty because research shows that is his favourite.”
Sam and Clinton gazed at each other. They were desperate to conduct the test before leaving hence, they began to whisper talking to each other in the presence of the commissioner trying to come to conclusion concerning the kinda method that should be employed to test the ladies.
“I think it will be best it is conducted here, maybe in one of the strategic rooms and we will leave here with the ones we find suitable.”
The commissioner nodded, “but please, made it known to them what they are going to face. Well, the ladies that will be arranged for you, none of them will turn it down. I know the ladies I trained.”
The commissioner went on his toe and left the two of them in the lounge. They kept their eyes on the television and gulping the wine simultaneously and having a random conversation. The news channel was on Arise TV where Rufai Oseni was giving advise to the masses concerning the upcoming election.
A few minutes later, the police commission entered, behind him were some male police officers who led the female Surpernumenary police into the lounge. They were all hot that Sam was relegated to jiggling his head and diverse thoughts trotting through her psyche.
“You can go,” the commissioner told the male police officer who led the ladies in, “these are the Supernumenary police,” the commissioner said facing Sam and Clinton.
They nodded, “they should lead the way to the strategic room where we are going to have more conversation with them and know the best ones to go with.”
“Alright. I won’t be able to go with you guys. I have a few important appointment that I needed to attend to. Please, pardon me.”
“That’s not a problem. You’ve done your part. Let’s do ours. We will get back to you before we leave,” Detective Sam said and gulped the remaining wine in his cup.
The Supernumenary police led the way out and reaching the exit. The male police had already taken the lead and they entered the strategic room. Sergeant Clinton and Detective Sam did a rapid interrogations and also disclose what the mission was to them. Well, at first, a few of them were kinda scared but couldn’t voice out.
Sergeant Clinton employed his leadership skill and instill confidence in them. They conducted and concluded the test on them and came out with the best among them. Although it was difficult because they were all specialist in the field.
They reported to the commissioner’s office and gave him the information concerning their test before they head back to Mushin from Ikeja.
