"How dare you, manager!" Nelson spat, his face contorted with rage. "You think you can defy me? I will make sure you pay for this!"

The manager, though shaken by Nelson's threatening demeanor, stood his ground, refusing to cower before the belligerent man.

"I won't be intimidated, Nelson," the manager responded, his voice laced with a hint of defiance.

"You may have influence, but I have integrity. I will protect my staff and uphold the dignity of this establishment."

Dave, taking in the escalating tension, felt a surge of determination within him. He knew that Nelson's fury was directed not only at the manager but also at him.

"The black diamond card isa symbol of power, Dave is the president's son, as he said. The manager added.

He was trying to let Nelson humble himself, but he wasn't ready for that.

Unfazed by Nelson's threats, Dave calmly spoke, his voice steady and resolute.

"Nelson, your obsession with power and destruction won't get you anywhere. The president's party tonight is an opportunity for me, not just to meet the president, but to demonstrate that compassion and empathy can triumph over greed and anger."

Nelson's eyes widened in surprise, realizing that his nemesis had a chance to interact with the president. The magnitude of the situation dawned upon him, and a twisted smile formed on his lips.

"Ah, so you think meeting the president will change anything? You're a fool, just like the manager here!" Nelson sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Once I'm done with you, this hotel will turn to ashes, and your dreams will crumble along with it."

"Young man, mind your speech; otherwise, I will call the cops on you."

Dave met Nelson's vile gaze with a smirk, his confidence unwavering. He knew that Nelson's words were fueled by desperation and a hunger for power, but he refused to let fear cloud his judgment.

"You underestimate the power of redemption, Nelson," Dave replied, his voice laced with a newfound conviction.

"Tonight, as I stand before the president, I will not only showcase the resilience of the human spirit but also expose the darkness that consumes you."

Nelson's face contorted with rage, and his fists clenched tightly. His ex-wife, standing beside him, watched the scene unfold with a mix of concern and uncertainty.

"Enough of this nonsense!" Nelson exclaimed, his voice trembling with anger. "You won't get away with this, Mc. You'll soon be thrown out of this hotel, and your dreams will crumble like dust."

Dave maintained his composure, his gaze piercing through Nelson's bravado. He knew that Nelson's threats were born out of fear and a desperate attempt to cling to power.

"Actions speak louder than words, Nelson," Dave retorted, his voice steady. "We'll see who will be standing tall when the dust settles."

With those final words, Dave turned to the manager, signaling his readiness to leave.

"Manager, please go about your duties. I will handle Nelson and ensure the safety of the hotel and its guests," Dave stated firmly.

The manager, his admiration for Dave growing with each passing moment, nodded in agreement.

"Thank you, Dave. I trust in your ability to handle the situation," the manager replied, his voice filled with gratitude and confidence.

Together, Dave and the manager walked away from Nelson and his ex-wife, leaving them to their anger and frustration. As they disappeared into the hotel, Nelson's ex-wife turned to him, concern etched on her face.

"Nelson, this isn't right."Nelson, this isn't right," his ex-wife pleaded, her voice filled with concern. "You can't let your anger consume you like this. It's only causing more harm."

Nelson's rage continued to burn within him, and his eyes fixed on Dave's retreating figure. The thought of his nemesis potentially gaining favor with the president gnawed at him, driving him further into a frenzy.

"Enough!" Nelson bellowed, his voice echoing through the empty streets. "I won't stand for this humiliation! That man thinks he can undermine me, but I'll show him the true extent of my power!"

His ex-wife grasped his arm, her touch a feeble attempt to bring him back from the brink of madness.

"Nelson, please listen to me," she implored, her voice trembling. "This isn't the way to handle things. Let it go. Move on."

But Nelson's fury was a wildfire that refused to be extinguished. He shook off her grip, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous resolve.

"No, I won't let him win," Nelson seethed, his voice dripping with venom. "I will make sure he regrets ever crossing me. This hotel will be reduced to rubble, and he will be left with nothing."

His ex-wife, her face etched with despair, took a step back, realizing the depths to which Nelson had sunk.

She had hoped that their separation would bring about a change and a chance for redemption, but it seemed that he was only spiraling further into darkness.

"Nelson, if you go down this path, you'll lose everything," she warned, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and sorrow. "Is revenge truly worth sacrificing everything we once had?"

Nelson's eyes flickered with a momentary hesitation, a glimmer of recognition that he was on the precipice of destroying not only himself but also the remnants of his past.

Yet the allure of power and vengeance proved too intoxicating to resist.

"I've already lost everything," Nelson replied, his voice laced with bitterness. "But I won't let that man, or anyone else, take away my dignity. If I can't have happiness, then at least I'll have my revenge."

His wife shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Is revenge truly worth the cost? Think about what you're doing, Nelson. There's still a chance for redemption, for us to rebuild our lives," she pleaded, her voice filled with longing.

"I can't believe you're now supporting that wretched ex-husband of yours."

Nelson said, consumed by his burning desire for retribution, he turned his back on her, his resolve solidifying.

"I've made up my mind," he declared, his voice final. "You can stay if you want, but I won't rest until I've brought him to his knees."
