Kyle lay on the ground, feeling useless. Phones were up in his face. Each of the students took pictures, laughing while some actually pitied Kyle.
His face throbbed from where Stephen had stomped on him, and every attempt to stand up was met with searing pain in his ribs. He gritted his teeth, refusing to let the tears sting his eyes. He wouldn’t cry. Not here, not in front of them. “Look at him,” someone muttered from the distance. “He’s pathetic. He should have known too well not to come after someone like Stephen." “Serves him right for trying to punch Stephen,” another voice chimed in. “He brought it on himself.” Kyle’s fists clenched as he tried to push himself up again, but his body betrayed him. His legs wobbled, and he collapsed back onto the cold pavement. Just when he thought the humiliation couldn’t get any worse, a familiar voice cut through the murmurs of the students. “Kyle!” The voice belonged to the director of the school, Mr. Hainsworth, a tall, thin man in his late fifties with a stern expression. He strode over, his eyes flicking between Kyle on the ground and Stephen standing smugly nearby. But instead of helping Kyle up, Mr. Hainsworth’s face twisted into a sickening smile as he turned toward Stephen. “Stephen,” Mr. Hainsworth began, his voice full of forced warmth, “I heard what happened here. Are you alright? I hope you weren’t injured by... this.” He waved dismissively in Kyle’s direction, as if Kyle were nothing more than a nuisance. Stephen smirked, wiping his still-bloody lip. “I’m fine, Mr. Hainsworth. It’s just unfortunate that some people don’t know their place.” Kyle’s blood boiled, but he remained silent. His body still ached too much to protest, and he knew better than to expect fairness from someone like Mr. Hainsworth. After all, Stephen’s father was one of the school’s biggest sponsors. Money talked, and it screamed louder than the truth ever could. “I saw the whole thing,” Mr. Hainsworth said, glancing briefly at Kyle with disdain. “Kyle here attacked Stephen unprovoked. It’s a shame when students like him resort to violence because they can’t control their emotions.” Kyle opened his mouth to argue, but the words died in his throat. What was the point? No one would believe him. He was nothing compared to Stephen and his family. “You understand, of course, Kyle,” Mr. Hainsworth continued, his voice icy now as he turned toward him, “that this kind of behavior is unacceptable in our school. We pride ourselves on discipline and respect, two things you seem to lack. As of now, you’re suspended for a month.” "What?" The world seemed to stop for Kyle. Suspended? For defending himself? He struggled to his feet, biting back the sharp pain in his side as he faced the director. “But I didn’t even do anything. He...he.." The word stayed glued to his throat. “Enough!” Mr. Hainsworth barked, his voice cutting through Kyle’s protest. “I don’t want to hear any excuses. You have the audacity to raise your filthy hands against one of the schools elites. You’re lucky it’s just a suspension and not expulsion. Now leave the premises immediately.” Kyle’s mouth clamped shut, his heart racing with a mix of anger and humiliation. He cast a glance toward Stephen, who was watching the whole exchange with a triumphant smirk. Tara stood next to him, her arms crossed as she looked at Kyle with cold indifference. Kyle had never felt more alone. Stephen stepped forward, his voice dripping with false sympathy. “Maybe you’ll learn something from this, Kyle. Like how to behave around people who are better than you.” The bystanders laughed softly at Stephen’s words, and Kyle’s fists tightened at his sides. He wanted to punch Stephen again, harder this time, but he knew it wouldn’t make a difference. The system was rigged against him. Even if he fought back, it would only lead to more punishment. As Stephen and Tara walked away, Kyle could hear the murmur of the students around him. “He got what he deserved.” “Yeah, did you see how Stephen handled him? Kyle’s an idiot for picking that fight.” “I bet he won’t show his face here again after this.” Kyle’s throat burned as he listened to them. He wanted to shout, to tell them the truth, but what good would it do? No one would listen. They had already made up their minds. With every step he took toward the exit, the whispers of his classmates followed him like shadows, dragging him deeper into a pit of despair. He felt suffocated by their judgment, their cruel laughter echoing in his ears. He had lost everything—his dignity, his standing at the school, and Tara. Especially Tara. By the time he reached the gates of the school, his chest was tight with frustration and helplessness. He had no idea what to do next. Everything felt so out of control, like his entire life had spiraled into chaos in just a matter of days. Suddenly, a sleek, black car pulled up in front of him, its glossy exterior shining under the afternoon sun. The door opened, and several men in crisp, tailored suits stepped out. For a moment, Kyle blinked, thinking he was hallucinating from the stress. The tallest of the men, with sharp features and dark sunglasses, approached him. He gave a respectful nod, something Kyle wasn’t used to after the day’s events. “Mr. Cross?” the man asked. Kyle hesitated, unsure of what was happening. “Y-yeah, that’s me.” The man smiled politely. “We’ve been sent by Mr. Howard. He would like to speak with you. Please, come with us.” Kyle’s brow furrowed in confusion. Mr. Howard? The name was unfamiliar to him. But before he could ask any questions, the men opened the car door and gestured for him to get in. His body was still sore, and his mind raced with uncertainty, but something in their demeanor told him this wasn’t a request. With little other choice, Kyle climbed into the car. The interior was luxurious, with leather seats and tinted windows that shielded him from the prying eyes of anyone who might still be watching. As the car drove off, Kyle’s mind buzzed with questions. Who was Mr. Howard? And why would someone like him be interested in him, of all people?Latest Chapter
REALITY
Kyle stared at the wristband for a few more seconds before lowering his hand slowly. The strange calmness spreading through his chest unsettled him more than the pressure itself. It felt unnatural. Like someone had reached into his mind and muted a raging storm. Scar noticed the expression immediately.“Careful,” he said lazily. “If you rely on that too much, you’ll forget how loud your own thoughts are.” Kyle frowned. “Then why give it to me?” “Because right now,” Scar replied, “you’re unstable.” Clark nodded in agreement. “You almost crushed a glass cup without touching it.” Kyle looked toward the shattered pieces on the floor again. Because deep down, he knew it wasn’t almost. If he lost control again, something worse could happen. A heavy silence settled briefly before Clark glanced toward the wall clock. “You seriously need to leave for school.” Kyle let out a tired breath. “You really think I can focus on classes after all this?” “No,” Clark answered honestly. “But p
LIFE CHOICE
Kyle stared at Scar without blinking. The silence in the room became heavy.Even Clark looked uncomfortable now. Scar leaned back lazily in his chair, crossing one leg over the other like a man discussing the weather instead of someone’s destiny.“A hero…” Kyle repeated slowly. “Or a villain.”Scar nodded once. “Every powerful man eventually becomes one of the two.”Kyle scoffed lightly. “That sounds dramatic.”“No,” Scar replied calmly. “That sounds truthful. And at this point, I don't think I need to lie to you."Clark folded his arms. “Scar isn’t wrong. Power changes people. You could have listened to me but you are not exactly that type of man." Kyle’s jaw tightened slightly. “And what type of man am I?" Clark shurgged, "The merciful one? I think you should just listen to Scar." Scar’s smirk widened. “The broken mirror outside your car for starters and I think the power you showed at the gym house is also a part of it." Kyle let out a long sigh.Clark’s expression shifted. “Yo
A MENTOR (SCAR)
Kyle stood motionless long after the man disappeared behind the black door. The room suddenly felt colder. His eyes slowly dropped toward the card resting on the glass table. No name.No company.Just a single symbol engraved in silver ink.A circle, and inside it was an eye.Kyle frowned. “What kind of nonsense is this?” he muttered under his breath. He flipped the card over. An address was written behind it.No phone number. No instructions.Just an address.Kyle slipped the card into his pocket before finally walking out of the room. The receptionist was gone. The hallway now looked emptier than before.Kyle stepped back into the main lounge, and immediately the warm atmosphere returned again.Laughter, music and glasses clinking. It almost made him wonder if what happened moments ago was even real.He rubbed his forehead.“Sir, your VIP room is ready,” another attendant suddenly said politely.Kyle stared at him for a moment.VIP room?So the receptionist truly lied. The strange man
Kyle's gaze moved faster than before, sizing his opponents up. Adrian rested his back against one of the poles holding the foundation of the building. A smile escaped his pressed lips as his gaze fixed on Kyle. "Let's see what you are truly capable of," he said mockingly. Kyle slowly removed his jacket. "You want to play? Then let's play." One of the men moved, and Belinda rushed to stand in between. "That is enough for tonight! "This is my birthday, people!" she barked. The whole hall went silent except for the gentle jazz music playing solemnly. She turned towards Kyle. "You need to leave now." Everyone now looked at Kyle like he was some alien. "It was a mistake coming, actually." "Kyle said," grabbing his coat. The crowd parted the way for him as he walked through their midst. "Bye-bye to good riddance!" Stephan barked. Kyle walked into the night air and let out a long breath he didn't know he had been holding. He felt lost for a moment. He simply walked into his car
PARTY SAGA (3)
The entire hall went silent.Music still played faintly from the speakers overhead, but the tension spreading across the room swallowed every other sound.Kyle stood there with a whiskey glass dangling loosely in his hand while his cold eyes remained locked on Garry.Belinda's face immediately turned pale."Kyle..." she whispered under her breath. Her mother scoffed loudly. "And who exactly invited this trash here?"Kyle ignored her completely. His gaze never left Garry. The older man adjusted the cuff of his expensive suit before forcing out a fake smile. "You seem drunk, boy. Go home before you embarrass yourself further."Kyle laughed softly."Embarrass myself?" he repeated. He took another sip from the glass before slowly walking closer toward them.Belinda instinctively stepped forward. "Kyle, please..." she said carefully. But Kyle wasn't even looking at her anymore. His attention remained on Klaus.Tall.Perfectly dressed and looking calm as ever. The kind of rich bastard Kyle
PARTY SAGA (2)
Kelly stood frozen right before Kyle. Right in front of her was a boy she didn't recognize anymore. "What happened to that poor, sweet, loving, and charming boy who walked in through the door a couple of months back?" Kelly asked. Kyle stared with cold and icy eyes. "He grew up. And you should stop trying to do this rubbish with me, Kelly." Kelly stared with a blank expression. She couldn't believe Kyle was talking this harshly at her. "If you are horny and you need to be scratched, then go find someone to do it and leave me the fuck alone!" Kyle barked. Kelly ran away after his last word. He stared at her figure disappearing among the crowd that was drinking and laughing. "Fuck!" Kyle barked, running his hands through his hair. CLAP!CLAP!CLAP!"What a bitch!" Kyle turned and saw Stephan seated with a smug grin on his face. After what happened back at the school, Kyle still didn't believe Stephan was going to come near him."Fuck off, Stephan!" he said with anger.
