“Here we are kids”. Miss Penelope said brimming with joy as the bus finally came to a stop at their destination.
“Finally. Get off me”. Daisy said pushing Becky’s body away from hers as she made her way out of the bus.
“Let’s try and stay in a single file, kids”. Miss Penelope adviced as they climbed down the bus one after the other, obeying her instructions.
As Kira climbed down the bus with Phil by her side, she took a moment to look around her. She smiled as an amusement park grabbed her attention.
“What’s the matter, baby?”. Phil questioned his eyes following the direction of her gaze.
“It’s nothing”. She replied as they walked in along with the rest of the crowd. When they got in, Miss Penelope along side along side the curator, gave them a run down of each historical item they’d come to see.
While Caleb, the geek looked interested and ready to learn, Kira appeared bored out of her mind.
“Hey, isn’t this boring?”. Kira asked softly, whispering the words into Phil’s ears.
“What do you suggest we do?”. Phil questioned with a sly smirk as Kira tool his hand, leading him outside the conference room through the back door.
“How did you know there was an exit by the back?”. Phil questioned, clearly impressed with his girlfriend’s smart reasoning.
Kira shrugged. “I just saw people going out this way earlier so I thought they’ll be one”
“Anyways, where are we going?”
Kira grinned widely. “I saw an amusement pack nearby when we first came. Should we check it out?”
“Of course”. Hand in hand, they made their way to the amusement park, giggling at the top of their voices. When they’d arrived, they looked around in awe.
“This is truly magnificent”. Phil couldn’t help but admit.
“I know right?”
“What ride should we try out first?”
Kira pretended to be deep in thoughts. She really wanted to go into the ‘horror house’ first but thought it would be too direct saying that out especially since she wasn’t sure if Phil liked it too.
After much thinking, she decided to go ahead with a ride everyone loves. “What about the rollacoaster ride?”.
Phil shot his brow up with excitement. “I love that!. Let’s go!”. He gripped Kira’s hands as they made they way to the rollacoaster queue after buying their tickets.
Kira could feel Phil’s entire body pulsating. “Are you that excited?” She questioned as Phil nodded his head.”Yes”
Soon the queue slowly started to move and in no time, it was their turn to board the ride. After boarding, they waited until the ride started moving.
As it slowly moved up to it’s highest peak, Phil tightened his grip on Kira’s hands.
“Are you scared?”. Kira teased
“I’m not”. Came Phil’s reply. He really wasn’t scare until the ride went down and he felt his heart jump into his mouth.
He screamed at the top of his lungs as he closed his eyes, shutting it ever so tightly as Kira burst out laughing at his reaction. After the ride went round twice, it suddenly came to an halt as everyone alighted while a new set of customers boarded.
When he was able to stand properly in his feet, Phil moved to a nearby flower bed where he puked heavily as Kira patted his back, calming him down as she also tried her best to supress her laughter. “You said you weren’t scared”.
“I was only trying to be a man because you wanted to go on it”. Phil countered.
“Well I thought you would love to go on the coastee ride”. Kira said handing him a bottle of water.
Phil took the bottle of water as he sipped it’s little content using it to gurgle his mother before spitting it out on the flower bed. “So you mean to tell me that you didn’t actually want to go on the coaster ride?”
“Well it was fun and all but, I really wanted to go to the horror house. Can we please still go there?”
Phil grumbled as he gave in. Anything to make Kira happy. He thought
“Don’t worry, this one is less scarier than the coaster ride”. Kira said trying to make Phil feel better as they made their way towards it.
“Two tickets please”. Kira said handing the cash to the man in charge of the ride.
When they’d settled down in the ride, Kira saw Phil trembling as she broke into a soft smile. “Are you scared?”
“Stop asking me when you know I am”
Her smile widened as she placed her head on his shoulders, clutching his arms tightly.
As the ride moved on to the second phase, Phil screamed as he saw the light come on for a short while as a skeleton appeared right into his face. “Kira!”. He called out but to his surprise Kira wasn’t by his side anymore.
He looked around, searching for her but as he couldn’t see her in the dark,he decided to call out her name. “Kira, stop your games. This isn’t funy…”. But he got no response.
When he looked forward, the light came on yet again and he screamed even louder because what he saw Infront of him wasn’t even a skeleton but rather, his Kira standing ontop the front of the ride.
Her eyes seemed lifeless as blood rolled down from it’s base. Her hair appeared to be standing out on both sides as she seemed to be snarling, making the sound of an animal rather than a human.
“Kira. This isn’t funny”. Phil repeated staring at her or it, whatever it was.
The thing Infront of him, which he refused to believe was his Kira tilted it’s head to the side, watching him. “Why? Are you scared?”.
Phil felt chill run down his spine. That voice. It was Kira’s voice.
“Holy shit”. He cried as he jumped down from the moving ride rolling repeated on the floor, till he’d hit something hard did he come to a stop. He groaned aloud in pain as he clutched to his ankles which he was already sure was broken.
Phil thought on how he could possibly escape this place when he couldn’t see a thing. The light came on for a short while again as an idea suddenly came to Phil. He was going to use the light to find the exit and escape.
As he moved to get up to his feet, he heard a whistling sound and stilled. It was only him and Kira in here so he didn’t need a magician to to tell him who was making that sound.
When the light came on yet again, he used that opportunity to look for a space to hide in but he found none.
As he looked towards his right, he took notice of the skeleton beside him as he yelped instantly flying his hand to his mouth.
He wondered if the sound he’d made has attracted Kira’s attention but as he heard the whistling sound stop, he sighed with relief.
When next the light came on, Phil’s eyes bugled as he saw Kira Infront of him, laughing like a maniac while holding a stone with her sharp talons. “I found you”. She said before bashing the stone against Phil’s head over and over and over again till his body stopped moving.
When she looked ahead of her, she saw another ride coming down their path. Kira threw Phil’s demented body into the path of the ride as she watched it run over his body.
Smirking, she whistled as she made her way out of the horror house.

CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO
The urge to turn down Korn's invitation wad strong as I'd remembered Lord Nova's advise about Korn seeing me as a threat if he got to know about the power I wielded. But, I didn't have the boldness to do so. "The tale is bound to bore you, my king" "Trust me, Xagrel. This is a tale I'm well invested in no matter how boring it might appear to be" "If you say so, my king" A grin spreads across Korn's face."Then shall we?" I nod. Turning to face Xandos, I say. "Thank you for the clothes and for giving me a roof over my head. I'll be heading back with king Korn now" "Will you be back?" "I wil-" "He might not" Korn interjects. "I need my slave around me at all times if you get what I mean, Xandos" Xandos bows his head. "As you wish, my king. Do arrive safely back to the palace" "I will as always, Xandos" Korn extends his hands towards me. "First we can't have you work on an empty stomach" Xandos states, leading us to the center of his living room. "So help yourself with breakfast" I glanced around the empty space buy see nothing. "There's nothing here" Xandos chuckles. "It seems like your sharp reflexes ended in the bedroom. You didn't notice it when you first walked in here last night so I assumed maybe it's because it was dark but that doesn't seem to be the case" Xandos points up at the ceiling. "Look up" Following his hand direction, I gaze up to see a well- rounded brown table suspended mid-air yet remains stable and secure. From where I stood, I couldn't see the top of the table but ethereal glowing moonlight hovered around it. The leg of the table was crafted to resemble curved wings with intricate carvings woven around it. The table almost seemed...alive. "Do you think you have what it takes to make it to the table top?" Xandos questions bringing me back to reality. I was determined to mak

"I'm the last of my kind that's why immediately I felt the balance of time being messed with I knew it was an outsider doing such as there are no chrono mages in Eridoria yet" As he leads the way to his home, I inquired. "What is your name, by the way? I don't know how to address you" "You can call me Xandos" "Nice to meet you, Xandos. I'm Xagrel" Xandos gives me a disapproving look. "How did you do it?" The talking wall inquires in awe, staring at the now brightly lit room. "You didn't have any expectations of me, did you?" I shake my head. "Just like how I'd figured out a way to reach the magic book without lights, you should figure out how I'd managed to do this" Waving at the wall, I grinned wider. "See you around" Turning on the door knob, I stroll out of the door shaped shelf; re-entering the entrance of the book store. Still wearing the grin on my face, I walked over to the talking wall whom looked displeased. "I see you've outdone yourself" It commends. "You've proven me wrong" "You don't need to turn yourself into a stone" I assure. "I didn't intend to take on this challenge to get something out of it" "I know" It responds. "My brother and I are not just magical talking walls. We can read people's mind as well and so does magic" "People whom have pure desires and intentions just like you do tend to receive magic alot more faster than oth

Swallowing deep, I inquired. "Do you run this place?" "The store owner is out for some couple of days" The wall replies. "We don't know when she'll be back" "We?" The wall clears his throat, probably annoyed. "I take it that you are new then. What can I help you with?" "I'm looking for a book that can help me learn magic" There was silence before the wall lets out a deep hearty laughter. "Magic isn't just for anyone to learn, boy. If that were to be the case, I'd be a talking human not a talking wall" "You've come to the wrong place so see yourself out" The wall concludes. Anger coursed through

You're not brave enough?" Lord Nova closes his outstretched hands. "You need to work on your courage, Xagrel or else you are never going to grow even with the kind of power you wield" I furrow my brow, confused. "What sort of power do I weild, Lord Nova?"
