Yujin knew very well that he couldn't just stop his assault there. While the monster was preoccupied with the excruciating pain the cedar oil had caused its eyes, Yujin went over to pick up the splintered rod.

It appeared as though he had picked it up at the exact right moment because the rod had a very pointed edge. Yujin suddenly paused for a few seconds to consider his next course of action.

It would be a risky move to immediately launch and skewer the rod through the monster, but he finally took a deep breath in and then launched himself forward.

The monster was so preoccupied with trying to remove the cedar oil from his face that it was completely blindsided when Yujin launched his attack. Yujin then pierced the rod with its sharp end, and judging by the monster's screams of agony, it appeared that his actions had the desired effect.

Yujin kept his full weight behind his effort to drive the rod further into the monster's chest. The monster tried to shake the rod out of its body, but it was too late; the rod had already pierced all the way through its chest and done serious damage to its very core.

After that, Yujin made a hasty exit from the monster as soon as he became aware of some strange behavior being exhibited by the monster. He did this as soon as he realized that the monster was acting in an unusual manner.

The monster’s entire body is gradually transforming into ash gray color, making it look like a stone.

And right in front of Yujin’s very eyes, the body of the S-tier monster exploded in an instant. Ashes from the fire rose into the sky, which was otherwise clear, and a light dusting of grains fell all over him.

The grains that had accumulated in the air suddenly formed into the shape of an orb that suddenly emerged. It was giving off an eerie vibe, which not only piqued Yujin's curiosity about what it was, but also made him feel uneasy.

Yujin used the rod that was lying on the ground to strike the orb as soon as he saw it because he was afraid that it was still some kind of body part from the S-tier monster that he had just defeated.

Yujin failed to notice that the orb was instantly repelled the moment the rod made contact with it, and that the impact caused the orb to bounce several times on the ground.

Unpredictably, Yujin's chest was the initial spot where the orb landed. He tried to pull the orb out of his chest but it was stuck there like it was made of some kind of sticky rubber..

Even worse was the fact that the more Yujin tried to pull it off of him, the more it fought back by countering his efforts by digging deeper into Yujin's skin. It left him with an uneasy sensation that he couldn't shake. Yujin had the sensation that a hot rod was trying to penetrate between his chest.

Yujin let out a scream of agony as the orb continued to make its way inside of his body. It would appear, based on the screams of agony that were coming from Yujin, that he was not able to take the level of pain that he was currently experiencing very well.

He made an effort to exert some pressure on his chest in an effort to alleviate the pain, which was now also affecting his ability to breathe. He was beginning to exhibit signs of panic because he was afraid that if this situation continued for much longer, he would eventually suffocate to death.

Nevertheless, in spite of the fact that he was making an effort to lessen the intensity of his suffering, it appeared as though there was no way for him to actually escape this situation at this point. The fact that the pain got even worse as it lasted for longer was a much bigger problem.

Yujin was putting up with something that was steadily becoming intolerable despite the fact that it was getting worse. He did not completely give up hope that he would survive in some way. If not, those low-level monsters would have a chance of capturing him if he couldn't even stand up and run away from them..

Yujin had the sensation that he was unable to breathe normally, and he knew that he would have to continue to vigorously pat his chest in the vain expectation that whatever it was that had entered his chest would exit it.

But the orb just won't come out anymore, and it doesn't matter what he does to get it out. And then, after that, Yujin unexpectedly felt a stunning sensation after his heart suddenly pumped abnormally too loud.

It was so loud that he was afraid his heart would actually break from the strain.

Yujin had the impression that the orb had suddenly wrapped itself around his entire heart, which was the reason he had suddenly experienced that peculiar sensation. Yujin experienced anxiety for the first time in his life for no apparent reason.

He had to be fortunate at some point since, it was unusual that there was no single monster that had attacked him ever since the orb had entered his body. For some reason, he couldn’t even see a single one around.

Yujin watched as the remaining monsters walked right past him as if they hadn't seen him despite the fact that he was standing there acting as bait. To his utter surprise, not a single monster ever paid him the slightest bit of attention while he was standing there defenseless.

Suddenly, the pain went back to torture Yujin once more. And this time, it was already too much for him to tolerate even further.

Yujin immediately got down on his knees after realizing that the mysterious orb that was currently residing inside of him could cause his death at any moment. He was trembling uncontrollably while making a snide sound of laughter.

"So this is how it's going to end for me, huh?" While Yujin's hands were pressed firmly against the ground below him, he murmured something to himself.

Yujin waited calmly despite the fact that time was rapidly approaching the moment of his death. However, just as Yujin was beginning to come to terms with what appeared to be his impending demise, he suddenly became aware of shadows approaching from all directions.

When he looked up, he noticed that pieces of monsters' bodies were falling from the sky like rain all around him.

Instantaneously, he got to his feet and looked around to determine the source of the occurrence.

Yujin was taken aback when he saw a band of humans battling the monsters. They were not typical humans because they possessed extraordinary fighting abilities that were far beyond those of average humans.

They were able to easily defeat any monster that stood in their way as if they were attempting to swat a fly.

And just as Yujin was about to stand up, he suddenly became aware of someone approaching from behind him. He was instantly surprised to see three unfamiliar faces. Yujin was immediately approached by one of them, a guy, who questioned him, "Well, well...are you the one who killed that beast?”

Aera stood there, her heart pounding in her chest, unable to fathom the words that had just escaped Doctor Karin's lips. The air around her seemed to still, as if time itself had frozen in that very moment. How could this be? How could reality twist and contort in such a way? Aera's mind raced, desperately searching for a logical explanation, but finding none. The world she thought she knew was slipping away, replaced by a surreal landscape of uncertainty and disbelief. Anticipation coursed through her veins as she yearned for the moment when Doctor Karin would, perhaps, alter her stance and align herself with her fervent desire to fix the broken pillar. Doctor Karin awaited her arrival. As Aera stepped into the room, a sense of déjà vu washed over her. There, in the same spot as before, sat Doctor Karin, engrossed in a stack of books generously supplied by the stray dog headquarters.Aera pondered, her mind swirling with the possibility that it was Draken who had proposed the notion of stowing away those books within the confines of Doctor Karin's chamber. The suggestion was undeniably astute, for within the confines of that room, where Doctor Karin languished in detention, she managed to carve out precious moments to peruse those written works on a daily basis.Aera stood there, her eyes fixed on Doctor Karin, a mixture of displeasure evident on her face."It's you again," Doctor Karin, however, said, her voice tinged with a disappointment at the presenc
