The alarming wail of the colony's siren could be heard throughout the entire zone once more. And Yujin was just one of the many citizens of the thirteenth colony who stood as witnesses to the deafening alarm of the siren.
It appears that not a single one of the citizens who were still attempting to flee for their lives made it past the halfway point. They all turned their gaze in the direction of the broken barrier, which was where the majority of the monsters that had entered the colony earlier had entered.
Yujin was one of those people who became stunned after seeing how a large monster that appeared to be similar to the species of a giant scorpion with a human head entered the broken barrier.
And as soon as it entered, a beam was immediately released from its telson, which caused a line of tall infrastructure that was in its path to be destroyed. In a single moment, the concrete buildings melted away, and all that was left were the molten remnants of the structures.
It didn't take long for the screams of the colony's inhabitants to become the predominant sound in the environment of Espactra. It was far worse than a Holocaust to see people screaming for help and running for their lives as they were being persecuted.
In the nick of time, everyone started running for the crystal fortress, which the monsters couldn't get into, in the hopes of saving their lives. Yujin immediately left the school grounds after throwing the monster’s remains from the roof deck.
Yujin broke away from the crowd and followed them in the direction of the crystal fortress.
He was well aware that it was impossible for him to triumph over such a potent foe because it was an S-tier monster. This was the reason why he preferred to simply flee the scene and save himself.
Aside from that, it wasn't even as if he wanted to take on the role of the hero in this scenario. In a predicament like this, only a fool would put themselves in danger for the sake of others. For the sake of his own survival, Yujin would rather choose to act in a self-centered manner.
That would be better off than saving those people, who would in the end doubt the genuity of his generosity to help because he was already known as a delinquent. Yujin couldn’t blame them since it was the truth anyway.
Yujin is indeed a delinquent. And since he is actually one, there shouldn’t be any more reason for him to actually hold the line for the sake of everybody else.
It wasn't even as if there was anything that he could possibly do to save the entire colony at this point in time. It is already too late to do anything.
Yujin, along with the other people, makes a break for it and flees the area. They were all working toward entering the crystal fortress as quickly as possible so that they could be protected from the S-tier monster that was approaching from behind. Everyone was being hunted down, and there was a growing fear that they wouldn't even make it..
Now that they were also being pursued by other monsters running beneath the S-tier monster, their worst fears would undoubtedly come true. Some of these monsters were able to chase after humans who were too slow to keep up.
Yujin witnessed how most of them were caught and eaten alive. He was so shaken up by what he saw that he was on the verge of throwing up. And despite that, Yujin still put up with the scene and attempted to push himself to keep running.
As a result of what he had seen, he was now in no position to risk being captured by any of these monstrous beings. Even though he longed to be in the thick of the fighting, he did not want his life to come to an end in this fashion.
Even though he was already considered a delinquent, Yugin still had the desire to accomplish something, and that something was to be able to prevent monsters from infiltrating colonies. Even at this late stage, it appears that achieving that objective is no longer possible.
However, just as everyone was trying their best to run, an additional explosion occurred, which resulted in the loss of many more innocent lives. Yujin had become even more shocked while witnessing his surroundings.
He had a fleeting thought that, if he couldn't change the situation entirely, he could at least do something to improve it. However, he eventually stopped giving it much thought after realizing that, given his circumstances, there was nothing he could do about it anyway.
All of this transpired as a direct result of the manifestation of an S-tier monster that possessed the abominable characteristics of a human head attached to the body of a scorpion.
Its telson was the one that had been overpowered, which caused the destructive beams that were sweeping across the entire colony. And as it approached the crowd that was running towards the crystal fortress, its one and only objective was to actually destroy the crystal fortress.
And as the S-tier monster continued to cause mayhem and death among the populace, Yujin finally gathered up his courage and stood his ground, refusing to flee any longer. He could not bear to watch many more people die while doing nothing to stop it.
Therefore, even if it seemed impossible, he finally halted his feet from heading towards the crystal fortress to save himself. Yujin immediately had to think of a way to get rid of the monster before it could even kill more people who were evacuating to the crystal fortress.
He then rushed inside an abandoned grocery mall to check on whatever pesticide he could use. Apparently, the only thing he could gather up were cedar oils.
“This will do.” Yujin even made a remark after filling the entire tank of a backpack sprayer.
After that, he swiftly moved back to where the gigantic S-tier monster was having its rampage. Yujin hasn’t even been gone a long while, but the monster was able to wipe out a great part of the whole colony.
He knew that if he didn’t act at once, the monster would completely obliterate the entire colony before his very eyes.
And so, before the monster could even launch another powerful and destructive attack, he immediately sprayed the cedar oil against the head that abruptly distracted the monster. Although it wasn’t like the attack would actually kill an S-tier monster right away.
Instead, the monster's telson shot a powerful beam through the sky, tearing a gaping hole in the atmosphere above everyone. Yujin had no idea what had happened, but he knew he had to redirect his attention back to the monster.

Doctor Karin awaited her arrival. As Aera stepped into the room, a sense of déjà vu washed over her. There, in the same spot as before, sat Doctor Karin, engrossed in a stack of books generously supplied by the stray dog headquarters.Aera pondered, her mind swirling with the possibility that it was Draken who had proposed the notion of stowing away those books within the confines of Doctor Karin's chamber. The suggestion was undeniably astute, for within the confines of that room, where Doctor Karin languished in detention, she managed to carve out precious moments to peruse those written works on a daily basis.Aera stood there, her eyes fixed on Doctor Karin, a mixture of displeasure evident on her face."It's you again," Doctor Karin, however, said, her voice tinged with a disappointment at the presenc
