67. THE LAUGHING CLOWN WINS

Horneva heard the far-distance explosions. It seemed like Evangelist and Min-yin were already fighting their adversaries. She, however, could not comprehend the person before him, he just sat there nonchalantly. His dark eyes stared at her as if he was staring into her soul.

Vali chuckled, the girl before him was an interesting one. He had never met such a woman before, so determined and strong but against him, being determined and strong was just the tip of the iceberg.

“Surrender,” Vali said.

Horneva clicked her tongue. She knew that attitude very well. Her parents used to use it when they thought what she was doing was futile.

“Never, you'll have to take my corpse.”

Vali sighed, he opened his palm and a dark aura covered the palm. “Don't say I did not give you a chance.”

Horneva seeing the dark aura, released her aura; her aura took the form of cards.

A myriad of cards at her disposal preparing herself to fight the man before her.
