Aiden wished he had told her about the money offer earlier, he wouldn’t have come.
He couldn’t possibly accept such huge sum of money from Katherine. He had only asked that she helped him with his daughter’s medical bills and help him get his job back. But half a million dollars? That’s way too much for Aiden to accept.“Katherine, I can’t accept that.” Aiden refused and Katharine pouted sadly at him.“But why, Aiden?” She inquired and proceeded to run her hands down Aiden’s chest slowly and calculatedly. Aiden’s body stiffens at her touch. It’s been ages since any female had tried to be flirty with Aiden. He wondered if Katherine was trying to seduce him to accepting.Katherine leaned in closer to Aiden, whispering into his ears ,“Come on, Aiden. Just accept the marriage proposal.” Her tone sounded inviting and alluring. Katherine mouth gradually leave Aiden’s ears and began to work their way towards Aiden’s lips, about to give him a kiss. Her other hand still on his chest, caressing his brawny and defined structure.“Don’t think about it too much, just accept.” Katherine cooed seductively. Seeing that Aiden wasn’t resisting, she decided to up her game a bit to remove any form of hesitation in his mind. She lifted her legs, straddling herself on Aiden as she sat on his laps. Her skirt rode up, baring her soft and succulent–looking thighs as they buckled against Aiden’s hips. Aiden gulped down nothing, a warm feeling licking his spine. A Hot CEO was on his lap! And not only that, she wanted him to marry her as well. Aiden was tempted to wrap his arms around her waist and feel her up; it was very hard to comport himself, her thighs were pressed against his zipper and the friction was doing things to him that was making it hard for him to control himself. He knew she could feel him rising against her thighs, because she smirked complacently seeing that his body was responding very well to her touch. She began to work her hands down his bloodied shirt, Aiden was surprised she wasn’t repulsed by him. She began undoing the buttons, one–by–one and Aiden felt paralyzed by the looming lust and for some reason, he couldn’t resist. He just watched her gently and gradually undo the buttons. Aiden was being tempted; by a pretty rich lady and for someone who had been longed starved of anything that related to romance, he was about to fall for it as the feel of her enticing body on his was igniting a fire in him. But this was wrong. This was his boss— well, his ex boss. And for all he knew, this could be a scheme. Who knew, maybe they were hidden cameras somewhere in the room. Aiden immediately halted her action, grabbing her arms and she was taken aback by the suddenness and his change in attitude. Aiden pushed her off him as gently as he could, he wouldn’t annoy her too much. He wished he could deny how good Katherine had made him feel in less than a minute, but his increased breathing and the swell in his jeans were a quick give away.He cleared his throat, beginning to button up “I’m sorry Katherine, I can’t do this. I can’t get married to you.”Katherine adjusted herself on the chair, dragging down her skirt. “Oh come on, Aiden. You don’t have to be so rigid. I’m offering this to you out of my own goodwill and on a platter of gold. The only thing you have to do is accept to marry me. And besides, why are you afraid of a little fun?” It seemed like Katherine didn’t get Aiden’s memo because now she had her hands caressing his cheeks.“I can’t Katherine.” Aiden answered, wondering why he was still here allowing her to caress his cheeks if he claimed so much that he didn’t want anything to do with her. She paused stroking his cheek and stared at Aiden deep in the eye.“You’re a handsome, good-looking man, Aiden, with lots of potential. And I see the good in you, unlike your wife. I find you attractive and I want you to marry me. Allow me help you, Aiden.” Katherine added, she resumed stroking Aiden’s cheek with a sweet smile on her face.“No, Katherine. I appreciate your kind gesture and thoughtfulness but this is all too much.” Aiden reasoned, removing her hands from his cheeks and summoning the courage to finally get up from the seat.Leaving her stunned, Aiden said, “I beg to take my leave now, Katherine. Thank you.”“Fine.” She also rose up from the seat and the smile vanished from her face, an annoyed scrunch taking over. She folded her arms, “Go then. Go it you want to.” She added angrily. Aiden nodded, He did want to. So he turned around and made his way to door. Aiden unlocked it and left Katherine’s office. Katherine chuckled, smirking to herself. This was only the beginning. He couldn’t escape from her.Deep down, she knew he would eventually come begging later. She wasn’t going to let him go so easily. No! She would never, not after Aiden was the sole key to unlocking all she had ever wanted in life! She going to get what she wanted from Aiden, and she was going to do whatever it took to ensure that Aiden was hers.

Aiden's eyes widened as Kierra and her twin sister stepped forward, their faces completely identical — their eyes, their hair, theit walking steps, everything was the same and he could hardly tell the difference. He couldn't help but feel a rush of surprise and it was hard for him to digest what was unfolding before him. "Aiden?" Kierra's asked — he knew it was her because he was sure her twin sister didn't know his name. She was the one in a pink, flowery patterned sun–dress and she had her hair in a ponytail. And then, it all clicked – the moments of inexplicable behavior, the occasional shifts in demeanor. Kierra's twin was the missing link, the reason behind the occasional confounding encounters.Aiden, still absorbing the revelation, muttered, "So, you have a twin... That explains everything." That was the reason why most times, it seemed as though she didn't remember him. It was because he met with her twin!Seeing the confusion on Aiden's face, Gabriel decided to speak up

A knock on his office's door knocked him out of his thoughts and he looked up to see Gabriel entering into his office. He came in and Aiden waited for the girls to follow behind him, or at least, Kierra, but nobody else came in. He arched his brows, "Where are they, Gabriel?" he asked. "Well, they refused to come back with me." Gabriel stated and Aiden's brows furrowed in annoyance, and angered scowl sterning his expression. "What?" He explained, shooting up from his chair and banging his fists on the table. "Why would they do that?' "Well, I don't really understand why. But one was rambling about how she felt all of this was a big old scam, and the other one explicitly explained how she was uninterested in seeing your face. She further said that if she had known it was you behind this all along, she wouldn't have bothered to involve herself." Gabriel narrated and that was enough to sober up Aiden's annoyance. The last one was definitely Kierra, she was still very mad at him. An

Turning to Cynthia, she urgently instructed, "Cancel all my appointments for today. I'll be out of the office." Cynthia nodded in acknowledgment. The office seemed to blur as Melissa hurriedly made her way out, her heels clicking on the polished floors. She briskly walked to the elevator, her mind racing with a mix of fear and anticipation. The elevator dinged, and the doors slid open. She entered into the lift and the minute long journey seemed to stretch for all of eternity. As she exited the building, the cool breeze hit her face, and she quickened her pace towards the parking lot.
