1: Urgent Money needed

Keeping up with his part time job was a hard one. Especially When the boss doesn't even appreciate him for his effort.

Being a cranky person in general, Leo's boss doesn't even miss a chance to talk down on him for every little thing.

"Why are you standing there doing nothing? Haven't you cleaned up the plates to be used to serve the customers?"

"Why are you dilly-dallying? don't you know you should hurry up and serve the Customers?"

Leo couldn't tell exactly why it was so, but it already seemed that His boss had an automatic hatred towards him.

Always wanting to exploit his efforts to do more and still bash him for making the slightest mistake of all. Leo didn't seem to be the type to bother talking back easily..

He lived with it.

The sound of the shattering plates from the kitchen was something which had now gotten the attention of his boss.

Shocked, his boss had rushed over to the kitchen to see what it was all about now.

Leo was on the phone and what he was hearing over the phone wasn't pleasing him at all.

"Huh? doctor what do you mean by my mum..is..?" He couldn't even finish his sentence. His face said it all.

"You'll have to come to the hospital ASAP" The doctor urged from the other end.

His boss had rushed in, his face shocked as he stared at the broken plates. He was boiling up with fury already.

"You son of a b*tch! what do you think you're doing??" He was turning red already.

Leo didn't think he had the time to stay and bicker with his boss. He simply bowed in respect " Sorry! I'm so sorry but I have to leave"

With his boss bashing and cursing him from behind, he rushed out of the restaurant without looking back. His face pale with worries.

Leo had arrived at the city hospital in a dash and then headed to the room where His mother was.

It wasn't his real mother. But rather it was his orphanage mother.. Who had adopted him and raised him.

They didn't live a life on bed of roses, rather they lived a very hard life. Mostly living from hand to mouth. They didn't even have enough money to shatter for their material needs.

This until he had gotten Married and then lived a slightly comfortable life in his wife's house..He had done part-time jobs to help sustain his mother as well.

As Leo stared at the lady on the hospital bed, tears rolled down his eyes. He couldn't believe he'd come to see her in this state.

He had previously noticed that her Foster Mother was slightly sick. But when he asked her, she had waved off the thought while saying that it was nothing serious.

But who could have guessed that she'd end up in bed this way?

"Doctor what should we do?" He questioned as the doctor replied.

"Her state is extremely critical and she might not survive if an operation is not conducted as soon as possible "

"A surgery? Is it that serious?" He asked.

"Yes. Very important and critical because if it's delayed, Her situation will get worse and she'll be at risk of death "

Leo was panicking "How much...?"

The number he received from the doctor's mouth had him stunned in Shock..he simply didn't think he could afford such at the moment. It appeared Impossible.

He obviously couldn't get it.

"But ..."

"If you wish for her to be saved. Then you'll have to hurry up and get the money so the surgery can be conducted. Else she's at risk"

Leo didn't know what to do now. The doctor had guessed he'd have to do something quick.

"Okey give me today...I'll think of something "

He had left the room and Called onto a number. It was the number of the mother-in-law..He had explained the situation to his Mother-in-law and had pleaded with her to hand him some money to use in paying off the bill.

Her Mother-in-law had Causally requested that they meet up at a restaurant. And had told him to come there.

Leo didn't hesitate, he didn't wish to waste anymore time so he simply requested some patience from the doctor as he left the hospital.

Leo couldn't stop thinking about his foster mother while he headed out..He couldn't stop the tears from rushing down as well..

His mother was his everything. Literally the only person he had. She had taken him from the orphanage when he was younger and had done everything in her power to raise him well.

She had even sacrificed most of her happiness in life just to suit His needs. And all These had him tearing up the more.

He couldn't let anything happen to him..He couldn't loose her like this...

He had sooner arrived at the restaurant where he was to meet up with her Mother-in-law.

On entering the restaurant While looking around, she had hoped to see her mother-in-law.. But whom he had seen with her Mother-in-law had him confused.

He had seen a man sitting beside his Mother-in-law at a distant seat. The Man was dressed in a luxurious outfit and at first sight, Leo didn't like this man.

He exhibited an aura which made Leo note that he was those type of rich spoilt brat who always uses money to get all he wanted.

He walked up to them and sat down.

"You want some money to save your dying Mother right? No.. You want lots of money" His Mother-in-law began.

Leo hesitated with a nod. "Please.. I'd appreciate it if you can lend me the money so I can save her..The doctor says if she doesn't get the surgery ASAP that she might die" He explained.

"Oh is that so?" The lady, Leo's mother-in-law stated "Ok then.. But you know that the money you mentioned is an extremely huge amount of money and one simply can't lend it out easily "

She added" For me to lend you this money, I also have to get something in return "
