2: Shameless

Leo stared at her.. He didn't seem to like where this was heading to, Certainty because he felt that something was off.

Having stayed with his Mother-in-law for while now.. He hadn't once had a pleasant memory of her..This woman sitting before him was a thorn to him and his Married life in multiple ways.

He had only come to her out of his desperate situation to save his foster mother after all.

"And what is the condition you're trying to impose?" He questioned as Her mother in-law smiled.

Her Mother in law had got out a file and pushed it across the table for Leo to see. It got to Leo's front as he slowly picked it up.

Reading through the content, he was simply shocked at what he saw. "This is..."

"Yes it is. Divorce my daughter and get out of our life..Then I'll happily give you the money"

Leo slowly looked up at her. Although he had known her for being a Thorn, this was actually the first time she had made such baffling request openly to him.

"And what's this supposed..."

"Can't you read it or what? I said sign it so you can divorce my daughter. You're basically not fit to be the son-in-law of our family and I can't ever accept you so just sign it"

She continued "You need the money right? This is the best way to it. Just sign this and finalize the divorce then everything is settled"

She had her hands folded as she spoke.

"But . this is wrong.. This is absurd. How can I simply betray my wife and just divorce her because of this money? It's wrong and you know that I can't do..."

"What else are you blabbing about you son of a b*tch " The Man who had been quietly sitting there and watching had interrupted him.

"Are you being annoying or what? Look here, the Money will be Given to you in full right now.. Just sign the damn Paper and take it and stop being an annoying brat!" He snapped at Leo.

Leo was looking at the man..He didn't seem to know whom he was but he had a bad feeling about him. He felt that since this filthy rich looking man was here with his Mother-in-law, something wasn't right. 

"You see here.." The man still continued, adjusting his sunglasses which made him look the more extravagant. "We're just doing you some corporal work and helping your *ss out. It's not my fault that you can't afford it, So just be grateful and do the damn signing and take the money which you need so badly!"

Leo stared at the man "I don't mean to be rude sir but...I don't see why you should interfering in my family matter" Leo spoke.

"Family what? Family Matter my foot! Who even considers you a family? I have never for once even done that. It's all in your wishful thinking!" His Mother-in-law, Mrs Watt expressed.

 She Continued" This is my Only true son-in-law Incase you don't know. He's the only one who is up to standard to become my son-in-law and not someone like you!"

She was firm in her statement and it had gotten Leo shocked..Leo stared at her and then at the man as If he had seen a ghost.

"What are you talking about?" He inquired, not willing to believe his ears.

"You heard me right..I said he's my son-in-law. He's the person who shall be marrying my daughter after you've divorced her. So enough with the inquiry and sign"

Leo was already left speechless. He didn't know what to say in this situation other than watching them.

"I don't think I will sign this..and I won't sign it. So you can give it up already, because I won't betray my wife like that!"

"Oh jeez! The nerve of This annoying man.. What are you still being loyal and righteous about? Don't you need the money? It's not even like you have any other choices!" The man Snapped.

"Hey... You should stop getting on our nerves and just sign it. Don't you know hesitating with your stupid excuses will simply lead to your damn Mother's death? If you're still playing the loyal dog , you'll only be the one losing"

The woman had spoke harshly and recklessly without even thinking twice.

Leo was offended "Ma'am.. Please mind your language over my sick mother..."

"The nerve to talk to her like that? do you think you're Worth it? " The man snapped.

"Someone who can't even handle a single family alone still have the guts to talk?" The woman snapped "How can you talk to me like that as if you're not eating off in my family?"

She continued " Even if you put effort into the endless part-time you do, It's not even enough to put food on the table for a whole day! With that you can't even afford the basic necessities for a home "

She glared at Leo as she spoke. "How can I let my daughter get married to someone like that? A Man who claims to be a man but doesn't have a stable job to take care of a family but rather Eats off the home. How disgraceful to me!"

The man Shaked his head While staring at Leo " I can already imagine how that feels Ma'am. To have someone as bothersome as him as a part of the family. It must feel terrible and humiliating"

"So embarrassing. Which is why I have you. Someone as rich as you can satisfy the needs of my daughter and our family at whole!" She said smiling at the man.

"Don't worry Miss. Once this nutcase signs it and finally divorces her, I'll take your beautiful daughter into custody as my lawfully wedded wife and then I'll feed you and your family with any desires you want.. Money? House? Whatever it is just name it and it's yours!"

The man spoke to her with so much confidence. It was certain he was worth millions!
