The following day, Sean woke up early in the morning. Before anything else, he had to confirm if the system was there or not. So, he thought about the system, and in the next moment, the screen appeared in front of him, making him relieved.

Since the system had not disappeared, Sean could act on this particular day, to increase the amount of money that he had.

Currently, the most important thing was obviously to repay the debts that the family had accumulated, and after that, it would be the time for him to start establishing himself.

After freshening up, he left Jaden was still busy on his phone, heading downstairs. It was already 6:00 in the morning, and both his parents had already woken up, having already gone to the grocery store.

Currently, he had already thought about the business that he was going to buy. He had already observed that business, and although it was a little small, it was working well. Sean did not doubt that the profit margin of that business was high.

Sean had decided that he was going to purchase this coffee shop. He believed that with the profit that it was making, he would definitely be able to get the cashback.

But despite that, during the night, he had gone through the information about those skills, only to realize that while the system referred to them as basic, they were quite advanced.

He had noticed understood the mechanisms of the system, and if he was going to receive a skill that was related to the investment that he had made or not. This was going to be an opportunity for him to see that.

After thinking for a moment, Sean went ahead and entered into the coffee shop. He said at the table near a window, and the barista came to serve him.

He ordered the most expensive coffee present within the coffee shop, which cost him $3. As he drunk the coffee, he could not help but feel that the preparation of the coffee was quite decent.

If he related the level of the preparation of the coffee to the one that was in the knowledge that he had acquired about the basic chef skills, he realized that it was just a little notch below.

The basic chef skills was related to the preparation of different types of meals and drinks. As long as it was something that involved the kitchen, he had the ability to prepare it.

But of course, the level of the food or the drink prepared would be completely different depending on the level of the skill.

After finishing his drink, Sean made the payment, receiving $30 from the system. But he did not leave immediately, instead, he called for the barista that had served him, asking her if he could meet with the owner of the coffee shop.

The barista was puzzled about Sean’s intentions. She asked tentatively, “Is there something wrong?”

The lady was shocked upon hearing that. Regardless, she nodded her head and immediately went to inform the person in charge that Sean wanted to meet with the owner of the coffee shop.

A little while later, a middle aged man came over. He was wearing a clean gray suit, with his hair combed backwards.

He went ahead and start opposite Sean, before looking at him with a scrutinizing gaze. And a little while later, he stretched his hand towards Sean and said, “Hi, my name is Matthew Tel, the manager of Blackbird coffee shop.”

Sean shook his hand, while at the same time responding, “My name is Sean Stevens.”

Sean was actually not surprised by the hesitation that was shown by Matthew. Considering the way that he was currently dressed, he really did not look like a person that wanted to purchase a coffee shop.

Even though he was currently dressed decently, he did not really put much of an effort, like the times that he went to apply for job opportunities. So, his clothes, although decent, did not really look like a person with enough money to be able to purchase such a coffee shop.

“So, I have been informed that you have the intention of meeting with the owner of this coffee shop, having the intention of buying it. We can discuss this matter, and I will represent the owner of this coffee shop, and if I can be assured that you have serious intentions, I will inform the owner of the shop.” Matthew stated.

Sean understood that Matthew still did not trust he had the intention of buying the coffee shop. It seemed that he was worried that Sean was just here to play a prank. Regardless, Sean was impressed, as this guy did not chase him right away.

“That’s true. I have the intention of buying this coffee shop. I have observed this coffee shop for quite a while now, and I am interested in it. As long as the price is right, I can make the payment right away.” Sean responded.

Sean’s words surprised the middle-aged man. Regardless, he maintained his composure, a small smile appearing on his face.

“Forgive me for being rude, but I have a few doubts about the credibility of your words. I hope you understand what I am implying.” Matthew said with a forced smile.

“Not a problem at all.” Sean responded. At the same time, he took out his phone, scrolled a few times, before handing it over to Matthew.

Matthew looked at the phone that was being handed over to him, getting more and more skeptical. The phone that was being handed over to him was quite old, its screen already cracked.

Additionally, while it was not the oldest version, it was definitely considered as a backward model as compared to the current trend in the market.

Matthew had to confirm several times, confirming the date, the time, and even the source of the message, only to realize that everything was legitimate.
