Chapter 5: Party

After I used my healing spell on him. Before leaving him, I made sure his back was properly supported by the rock wall. Because, as I previously stated, I have no intention of becoming acquainted with him or interfering in his life.

I just wanted to intervene and save him because I thought it was the right thing to do. Aside from that, I have no other reason for getting involved with him.

Plus, all of his injuries have healed, and I finished appraising him after healing, and the system said it won't be long before that guy regains consciousness, so I don't have to worry about leaving him alone inside a dungeon. And he seems really strong and tough to me, so I guess he'll be fine with just his own.

Henceforth, after all those conviction thoughts. 'Why do I still seem worried about that stubborn guy?'

'I have already done my part and I must be content about it. It is not like--I can be friends with him or what. Because I'm sure that green-headed guy despises me after everything I said to him before he passed out. Also, when our paths cross again, I imagine him raising his sword at me with the intent of beheading me. So no Levi. Be happy that you were able to assist him. It is already sufficient. Stop thinking about that guy and just concentrate on your mission!'

"Yes! That's right! I must focus more on gaining experience to get stronger. I can't slack anymore."

With that encouraging and uplifting thought in my head, I continue exploring the ninety-nine-th floor after meeting the first human I saw after reincarnation.

And after some time spent exploring the foreign land. As I remembered something, my steps became slower.

Sighed. 

'Right, I almost forgot to check what is truly up to my skills and status. System, could you please tell me the current state of my vitality, including my skill sets?'

[Kai! Request granted. Analyzing the progress of the hatchling...]

[Kai! Analyzing completed. The system wishes to imprint an image in the mind of the hatchling. Does the hatchling grant the system the ability to cast an image spell?]

'Yes!'

[Kai! The system is permitted to cast the image of statistics and progress of the hatchling. The statistics, progress, and data will now be disclosed.]

As the system said that, a see-through chart made of an illusion spell stating my current status, level, and growth sprouted out of nowhere in my frontal lobe vision. And as I read the chart, I almost fell over due to the suprise of what I read.

"N-No... this can't be... how can this be possible in a short span of time... is the system analytic skill wrong or has some bug?"

[Kai! There is no wrong with the system analytic skill. It cannot be wrong. All the data the hatchling sees now is his current vitality and status.]

"T-Then…" I gulped. "H-How can I be this strong? I-It can't be..." I stuttered a lot while my eyes boldly opened because I can't really believe it...!

Because how can my level from level 1 jump to level 85 in a blink of an eye?! Is this a freaking joke?!

This is outrageous! It's not even possible! Though I already expect that my level and overall status will rise as a result of what I did in the bonus monster ground, but--I didn't expect that this high!

And, aside from my level, the most bizarre thing I see in my progress chart is my skills! Because how can I believe that I have six combat skills and three rare skills up my sleeve when I only know that I only have  three?! And to add to the hilarity, all of my skills are level 80, just like my level!

"S-Shit... I think I am really going crazy," I unbearably uttered while holding my headl because I think my head will explode any second due to the massive unbelievable information the system served me.

Nevertheless, truth to be told, I have no time to play crazy here on this dark and spacious floor where I can sense the bloodlust of high-end monsters bestowed upon me since I start exploring this foreign land.

In addition, I have complete faith in the system's capabilities. I can't call it into question. The system's capability has already been demonstrated and tested. So I guess I have no choice but to accept the fact that I have grown this much in just a few weeks of using the bonus ground and one of my unique skills.

And this growth I attained is the answer why I easily slain a pact of hell dogs and cast a high-tier healing spell to a dying guy.

'So, instead of reacting like a lunatic to my own growth, I guess I should celebrate it. Because with this kind of light-speed growth, I can fight the dungeon boss right away and also leave this sickening place to see the beauty of my new world! — Yes! That's correct! So what I really need to do now is annihilate all the monsters that cross my path and grow stronger and stronger until I am confident in my abilities and confident that I can defeat the dungeon boss on my own.'

"Yes! That's really it! So keep together all your shits Levi! This is not the time to be eaten by your thoughts!" I slapped both my cheeks to get my senses back. And thankfully, It quite works.

Because after that, I continued exploring the ninety-nine-th floor. And thanks to my magic vision, travel became easier and safer because I can really see everything thoroughly. Including the monsters of this floor has to offer that is best in hiding in the darkest rears and ambushes including hell dogs.

And as I didn't stop my phase even after nearly an hour. I get to hell dogs and high-end monsters den. 

And when I first entered their territory, their attention was already focused on me, with the intention of shredding me into pieces.

Hell dogs with razor teeth, demonic bats with their humanoid size and wings, black demon serpents with their deadly fangs. That's the species of monsters this lier where I am is to offer. Thanks to the system, I can easily identify the monsters I'm facing and their level. And to be true—all the monsters I see are all high-end classes.

And despite my situation, I am now facing pacts of high-end monsters that can be the cost of my death—surprisingly—I am not feeling scared and threatened. Though, what my heart feels is full excitement because I can try on these monsters the new skills I acquired.

I smiled mischievously on this monster before casting my lightning sword out in one of my hand, "Sorry in advance monsters, but you will be my guinea pigs for today."

As I said that to them, the monsters didn't even hesitate to launch a synchronized attack all at once just like they are insulted by what I have said.

My mischivous smile became wide as this monster didn't know death was waiting for them.

And as the monsters of the ninety-nine-th floor nearly reach me, I raise one of my arms above my head and chant the AOE skill that I newly acquired together with magic vision and lightning recovery.

'Try to test this power'

"Lightning God, hear my wishes and desire, kill my foes with your tears and agony. Tears of the Lightning God, rain upon me! Thunderstorm!" As I completed chanting my wide range attack, a massive dark cloud grew above the ceiling of the floor and as exactly when the monster was on the verge of chewing my head, a massive thunderbolt came on the ground. Penetrating the monsters that are trying to kill me.

And as my enemies one by one become dust. I watch them in awe at the thought that my AOE skill, thunderstorm, can really massacre a town or village. 

And as no one in my enemy is alive except for me, little by little, the dark cloud disappeared.

[Kai! Congratulations! You've been slain pacts of hell dogs, demonic bats, and black demon serpent!]

[Kai! Accumulating all the experience gathered in monsters the hatchling slain: Accumulating completed.]

[Kai! The hatchling experience energy accumulated increases two folds due to the hatchling unique skill: Exp lord. The hatchling level from level 85 increased up to level 88. Hatchling skill levels also increase two folds. All skills including rare skills are now level 82.]

I let out a heavy sigh after I received all the energy I obtained from massacring all those mobs. Though, even I already know that my unique skill: Exp lord is very out-powered and buffed. I still can't really believe that this kind of skill exists.

I sighed once again and shook my head, "I guess I really need to get used to being reincarnated as an OP adventurer instead of feeling guilty about it. Yeah, that's righ—" 

"Watch out!!" I didn't finish my mere talkings when a familiar baritone voice enveloped my ears. And as I turn my head at my back. It is already too late for me to react because three hell dogs are already in the air, nearly in my face, with their open wide mouths readily chewing my head with their razor canine teeths.

And in that moment, I remember the same feeling I had in my previous life when I was in the middle of falling on our school's rooftop—a feeling I don't want to have again, but here I am because of my carelessness. I'm feeling it — like I'm dying. Again.

'S-Shit... why didn't I sense these hell dogs sneaking at my back? And where did they come from anyway, I am pretty sure I obliterated all the monsters in this ground. Wait— don't tell me these three are from those shadows and they follow me up until here and wait for the perfect time to ambush me? — huh, wow. They really got me. I don't have a chance to react to their sneak attack. I left myself unguarded and care-free. Tss. I guess being the OP-iest are no use if after all you are stupid being like me, that letting him bewildering his own thoughts inside in the dungeon.'

'Huh... I really sucks. Fuck it...'

And as my regret thoughts flood in my head. I closed my eyes completely when there was a thin gap only between the hell dog's mouth and my head.

And as I already accept my faith. A familiar voice once again filtering my ears.

"Sword God magic: Dancing of the thousand swords!!" The familiar voice roared all over the place and the next thing I heard was the growl of the dying hell dogs.

I open my eyes in shock and adrenaline rush because my head is still intact in my body after that near-death experience after a second. And as I fully opened my eyes, I was shocked to see the three hell dogs who tried to kill me obliterated by magical swords made of energy intact in their bodies.

"H-How... w-who... save me—" I didn't finish my stuttering when someone grabbed me by the collar and raised me in the air.

And when I confront the person who did it to me. When I met his piercing dark green eyes, my shocked and unstable face revealed an even more surprised expression.

"Y-You..." that's the only word that came out from my mouth after a second of staring at his angry face.

He grabbed my collar tighter and closed his face to me. "You!" He started, "Are you stupid?! How can you be so carefree and unguarded inside the dungeon?! Are you a God or what?!!" He yelled, making my heart muscle tighten.

I just stared at his angry face while trying to not let my emotion beat the out of me.

He darkly stares at my eyes, "Earlier, you seemed knowledgeable about the importance of life while lashing out at me, but who do you think I find so carefree in the monster ground without any sense of his surroundings?! You are just all talk but you are really stupid! Ha!" He let me go forcefully, and because I am preoccupied with my thoughts and emotions as a result of the unexpected events, I stumble in the ground as tears form in my eyes.

I bow my head in disgrace.

'No Levi! You can't cry in front of this green bald guy. No. No! You are not that cry and soft-hearted fat guy in your previous life now. You can't just cry in front of a stranger who you save and save you after. Fight back! Make an argument! Don't let him scold you! Make reasons!'

'But... Why don't any words come out in my mouth? Why am I so speechless? What's with this guy? Why can't I even talk back to him? Is it because all of what he said is true? That— I am stupid?'

My palm came to fist because of the frustration and anger.

'Perhaps yes, the reason I can't respond and make excuses is because he's right: I'm stupid. I'm still a moron. Even now, I am the stupid fat boy who everyone bullies and mocks because I am stupid. I'm just in a different body, but I'm still the same person. So, even though I possess a powerful skill, I will die as a result of my stupidity.'

'Shit... this is really a frustrating feeling.'

"Hey stupid, how long do you plan on staying like that? Is that how far you can go? Are you giving up now?" The green bald guy spoke nonchalantly again, which made me feel worse.

I raise my head and glare at him.  Though, the green bald guy does not seem threatening.

He chuckles, "Tsk, who have thought that the guy who said so many inspirational words are a cry baby and stupid."

My blood run boils. "Can you please shut up you green bald guy? Do you forget that I saved you earlier from following the light?!" I barked out, that made his face back to its dark expression.

He stare at me, "And do you forget that I save you just now from dying too, stupid? So don't ever use that to me. We are now even."

"Even your face," I whispered out of annoyance because how can this guy get into my nerves every time he spoke! Damn him!

"You are saying something little stupid?" 

"None!!" I growl before standing at my feet again. He chuckles and crosses his arms.

"I'm Zairone Bravestorm," he introduced himself. My eyes roll in the air.

'Tsk, who cares. I don't even want to know you, you jerk!'

"Hmm, ok. Nice to meet you. Bye." I said without notice and turned my back on him. But I don't even have any chance to walk out, because he snatched my wrist, not letting me go anywhere.

His thick eye brows crease, "And where do you think you're going, stupid?" 

"Can you not just care green bald guy?! And can you please stop calling me stupid because you are really running out my pacients," I burst out because this guy is keep getting on my nerves I don't why! Why is he harassing me like this? Did I do something to him that made him so furious?! 

And… I thought he didn't trust anyone? So why is he acting like this and talking to me? He is insane!

"I'm just worried you do stupidity again that's why I'm asking," This Zairone said that made me already lose all my sanity.

I drag my wrist back from his possession and stare at this guy with all my serious intent. "Look Zairone or whoever you are, if I do stupidity again, it is not up to your business so let me go and get lost!"

After I said that, Zairone just stared at my eyes and never said anything. But when I was about to walk out again—

"You want to defeat the dungeon boss, right? Let me accompany you," When he said that, my body froze because of I'm surprised that he knew my intention.

I look back at his bulk once again, "H-How did you know that?"

He chuckles, "You don't really have to know. So," he crossed his arms full of muscle again and looked at me, "Do you want to have a party with me?"
