As he leapt from level to level, Desmond glanced back and saw that the goblins following him were still numerous, but at least the ones climbing the walls like spiders had vanished.

The goblin champions continued to follow him as if everything was normal and they were unaffected by the traps.

With that quick glance, Desmond saw that there were nearly thirty goblin champions.

Still, the traps were not over.

There were still nearly four hundred traps standing, and these traps were divided into seven separate corridors.

This meant only one thing.

The sound of the explosion here would draw the goblins here, and the goblins coming from the other corridors would be caught in these traps, which were invisible to them.

Desmond had only levelled up three times and had finally reached level nine, and this level would increase further.

Still, Desmond had a strange sense of danger in his heart.

This feeling was not serious enough to kill him or injure the other group members, but Desmond could se

  • Not Stoping, Even For A Moment

Now, despite all this, he was advancing to the twenty-sixth floor.Either he had lost his mind, or he had truly become a fanatic obeying orders. But even then, nothing serious happened from the twenty-sixth floor to the thirtieth floor. The magical monsters that appeared were so weak that there was nothing that required Desmond to make any extra moves or try anything spectacular. With the clearing of the twenty-ninth floor, Desmond really wanted to stop.He had spent more than five days inside the dungeon, which could have been more than half a month in the outside world. He felt truly guilty when he thought about how much he must be worrying those outside, but he had a feeling in his heart. He had to advance one more floor. He could see the button for the thirtieth floor on top of the huge pillar, his hand constantly moving towards that floor button and the exit button, trying to make a decision. He hesitated for a few seconds, then grabbed the pillar with both hands. He took a deep

  • The Plan Against The Dragon

The young man stood up and began packing up his tent and getting ready.Since he could draw his weapons directly from his inventory, he didn't need a sword sheath or anything else.Still, not wanting his hair to cover his eyes, he tied it back, then went through the trap mechanisms in his inventory one by one, ensuring everything could be quickly deployed.Having done this, he finally looked out from behind the cover at the cave entrance and managed to see the dragon. It was a dragon with bright red scales and large, wide, yellow eyes.It had a body perhaps fifty metres long and wings twenty metres wide. The young man could see quite clearly that this dragon was perched somewhere. The area where the dragon had settled was a clearing. It was the only clearing in the forest, and it had been burned before; it wasn't hard to figure that out.Desmond, therefore, understood that this was the dragon's home. Perhaps, just perhaps, he wouldn't need to bring the dragon down from the sky to the

  • Two Spells

When Desmond looked out of the cave, he could see the dragon quite clearly, and fear entered his heart.A dragon... it might not be a monster he could kill single-handedly right now. This was not an ancient dragon, so everything would naturally be easier than usual. The dragon could still be harmed by black fire, and it might even be possible to pierce its scales with Desmond's aura.Still, each of these thoughts was based on a possibility. The likelihood of them becoming reality depended on the mature dragon not being one of the powerful ones.Desmond was inwardly terrified, but that didn't mean he couldn't try to do something. The first thing he had to do was avoid drawing the dragon's attention for a while. This meant he couldn't use his mana in any way and therefore couldn't cast spells. Although he could harm the dragon with his qi and the aura emanating from it, setting a trap with qi was nearly impossible. At least with Desmond's current power. Therefore, Desmond had to use eve

  • World Tree Branch And The Staff

[Cassandra's Staff wishes to absorb the sacred item named “World Tree Branch” in your inventory. Do you grant permission?]When Desmond read the message in this warning window that had come from the system, he glanced at the item he had found for the first time in the dungeon within the Seraphim Academy in the Holy Empire and had thrown into his inventory. There was no description of the item.It simply said [WORLD TREE BRANCH] in capital letters. It was very interesting.Cassandra's Staff, the spirit within this item, wanted to fully absorb the World Tree Branch. Desmond was intelligent enough not to refuse this."I grant permission," said the young man calmly, and as he said this, his eyes sparkled with the beauty of what was happening. The World Tree Branch in his inventory disappeared, and the sword-shaped object called Cassandra's Staff in Desmond's hand flew out of his grasp. With that, the sword glowed, and something... a spirit appeared. This spirit was, of course, a woman, an

  • Have You Gone Mad Chronos!

"Have you lost your mind?! I mean, seriously, have you gone mad, Chronos?!" Gaia suddenly shouted. The ancient Titaness turned directly to Chronos and asked the question that the other gods, goddesses, and Titans and Titanesses in the grand hall of Olympus were also thinking.Chronos had truly messed things up badly this time.Time itself, Chronos, should not fall into the hands of another. There was no limit to what could be done with even one extra second.Desmond had acquired a talent, but this talent was not a low-level one. It was a law. One of the laws of creation, established by Chaos when creating everything, namely time itself.A talent of the Holy class... Something only gods or goddesses, only beings in the sacred realm, could possess.Nyx's night, Selene's moon, Erebus's darkness, Hyperion's fire, Aether's space, and many more. All these things were more than just elements. These things were laws and should never, EVER fall into the hands of a mortal. There was truly no n

  • Sage's Staff

With this response, the white entity raised its hands once more and flapped them several times in the same manner. With that, the white entity uttered these words:"Imagination fires things, makes you think things you would never think otherwise, which brings you to thoughts that will make you see that the imagination you THOUGHT will bring you either up... or down, which brings you doubt."Hearing these words from the white entity, Desmond paused where he stood and, after looking at the wall behind him once more, asked, "That was a lesson, wasn't it?"The white entity replied calmly, "They just wanted to be sure... that you hadn't forgotten how to be human. They wanted you to remember how far your imagination, your thoughts, and the doubts in your mind can take you, and how much they can hurt you. It was difficult, wasn't it?" With that, a pillar and a chest appeared in the middle of the room. Before disappearing, the white entity turned to Desmond one last time and said, "You're a s
