100 billion dollars?

Landon was so shocked that his mind immediately went blank.

‘Did she just say that there’s 100 billion dollars in this card?’

Landon quickly held the black card with both hands like an egg he could not allow to fall off his hands.

“W-wait…did you just say there’s a 100 billion dollars in this card?” Landon asked, still unwilling to believe Eve’s last statement.

“Yes, young master. Inside that card is 100 billion dollars. Manage it for now. I did not have enough time to pull out enough funds into the card but don’t worry if it’s not enough I’ll be sure to triple the amount or make it to whichever amount you want me to!” Eve replied as if she was agitated.

“No...no, it’s not that!” Landon hurriedly gestured. “It’s just that…”

Landon did not know how to even explain it but 100 billion dollars?! 100 billion dollars?! How can Eve call such an amount of money little?!

Landon has not even seen 100 thousand dollars not to mention 100 billion dollars. That fact Eve referred to the amount as little made Landon question…how rich is his family?!

100 billion dollars is not a small money. He’s 99.9% sure that even the richest man in Dimvale city does not have such an amount of money in his bank account!

Landon could not help himself any longer so he voiced out his thoughts as best as he could. “…It’s not that it’s not enough but isn’t 100 billion dollars way too much? I have never heard of such an amount of money inside a bank account in my entire life.”

At this point, Eve finally understood what Landon was saying so she smiled.

“Young master if you’re saying that 100 billion dollars is too big then you are wrong. 100 billion dollars is just a minuscule amount of wealth the King family controls. It won’t be a lie to say that your family wealth is infinite so 100 billion dollars is not too much. You know your family owns up to 80% of all profitable businesses in Dimvale city so 100 billion dollars is a really small amount compared to all your family’s wealth. Even this establishment called the Crescent Resorts is under the King family.”

Landon felt like he could faint just from all the news Eve was giving him.

Wait his family owns the Crescent Resort? Landon could not believe it. He has always believed that he would one day make it big to not be called poor again but he did not believe he would make it this big!

In the whole of Dimvale City, Crescent Resorts was the best and the top of the top. To believe such an establishment was under his family made Landon very shocked.

Eve saw the shock on Landon's face so she continued speaking. “Young master, your family is one of the most powerful families in the world. It’s the most powerful family in the world! Your family owning 80% of the Dimvale city establishments is just little to your family’s entire wealth.”

***

Landon had been so totally blown off by Eve’s words that he did not know what to say. From her statement, he had realized one thing.

His family wealth is far bigger than he had anticipated. Even if he tried to he could not begin to phantom the amount of wealth his family possesses.

After his discussions with Eve, they had a very lovely meal at the Crescent Resort.

Ring! Ring!

Landon was enjoying the delicacies until his phone rang out!

Landon took out his phone and identified the caller.

It was Jude!

Landon answered his call. “Hello bro?”

[“Landon where are you? I haven’t seen you this afternoon! Have you forgotten we are supposed to submit our term papers for our assignment this afternoon?! If you don’t submit yours today you will lose a good amount of marks!” ] Jude said worriedly on the other end of the phone.

Landon eyes became widened. He had totally forgotten. Today was the day they were supposed to submit their term papers! He’s still yet to submit his! He has totally forgotten all about this due to his sudden meeting with Eve.

Seeing the tense expression on her young master’s face, Eve immediately understood that something urgent had come up and Landon needed to go.

As a woman who has so many experiences working with people, she was quite good at reading people’s body language so it was not so hard to tell what was going on.

“Young master. I’m sorry for taking up your time. It seems like you have something to attend to?” Eve spoke out.

“Yes. I have to get back to campus.” Landon hurriedly got up.

“If that’s the case allow me to drive you back young master.”

“No that’s not necessary.” Landon refused Eve’s help. “I’ll be okay.”

“Are you sure?” Eve insisted.

“Yes, I’m sure. I’ll just hail a cab from here.” Landon got up and got on his way.

Before he did Eve made sure that Landon knew that if he ever needed anything he should not hesitate to call her.

Landon kept this in mind. After all, contacting Eve was something he would definitely do. Since she was the representative of his family in Dimvale city their constant communication was a necessity.

Deciding to forget about all the complicated parts of his life, Landon hailed a cab to get to his dormitory. No matter how much of a change he had just received, the habit of a student was still in him. He had to carry out certain tasks to get good grades. In under 20 minutes, he was done, fortunately, he was able to meet up with submitting the urgent term paper. Before he got there Jude and his friends were no longer in class but he sighed in relief.

‘Thank goodness I made it.’

Landon decided to return to his dormitory, however…

“Landon! You brat!”

The shriek of someone immediately sent a shiver down his spine.

Landon turned around to identify the person.

“Where do you think you are going to?! I have been looking for you for the past two days?! So you have the balls to avoid me after I showed goodwill towards you! Today you will pay me! Where’s my money?!” A beautiful lady with a classy young man raised her voice.

It was Elena.

The made reason Landon had felt chill when he had heard her scream was because he owed her.

A few days back, he had borrowed 300 dollars from Elena to settle an emergency and she had been disturbing him ever since. The truth was he had been trying hard not to run into her for the past two days unfortunately she had caught him today.

No wait…how can he be unfortunate?! He has 100 billion dollars now so he can pay her! There’s no need to be fearful of her! All he had to do was make a withdrawal and pay her back.

“No problem Elena.” Landon sighed tiredly and replied. “Okay, can I just withdraw the cash and give you in a couple of minutes?”

Slap!

The sound of someone being slapped resounded in the entire hallway so much that most bystanders and people walking had stopped to watch what was going on.

Landon had been slapped by Elena!

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 483

George pressed the buttons on the console, one after another, his fingers moving in frantic succession until a sharp click echoed through the checkpoint booth. The sound was unmistakable—the current flowing through the massive iron gate had been cut off, and the locks disengaged with a dull thud. For the first time since his ordeal began, freedom was within his grasp. He quickly stepped out of the checkpoint building, his movements brisk yet cautious, as though he feared someone might appear to snatch this slim chance away. Without hesitation, he rushed to the gate, placed his hands firmly against its cold metal, and heaved it open manually. The iron groaned under his effort, but it yielded, and as the gap widened, George slipped through with a surge of relief that coursed through every vein in his body.Stepping outside that cursed facility, George drew in a deep breath of the cool night air. He felt the weight of confinement leave his chest. Yet, his relief was short-lived. Just as

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 490

A couple of minutes earlier—right after George Anderson had stormed out of the room where Adam and Dexter were facing each other—he wandered aimlessly through the endless, suffocating hallways of the sprawling plant facility, muttering curses under his breath. He still remembered Adam’s sharp command to leave, as if Adam had any right to order him around.“Why is it so damn hard to leave this place?!” George snapped, his voice echoing against the metallic walls. His frustration wasn’t just about the labyrinth-like building; it was also a boiling resentment toward Adam. The memory of Adam’s command replayed in his head like an irritating itch he couldn’t scratch. Adam’s cold tone, his absolute certainty—George smacked his tongue loudly, his anger swelling.“That bastard!” George hissed. “Ordering me around like we’re equals. Who the fuck does he think he’s talking to?!” His fists clenched tightly, his nails biting into his palms as he fumed. For a brief moment, George entertained the t

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 489

He had just come to the bitter realization that what Adam said earlier was true—there was absolutely no way to escape the suffocating grip of the plant if Andrews hoped to keep concealing himself. Every possible strategy he had considered had collapsed into dust the moment Adam’s words sank in.If Andrews truly wanted to break free, then he would have to abandon the mission and escape without the other targets. Yet that option was never on the table for him. The mission was far too important. His responsibility to the others, to their cause, outweighed even his own survival. Adam knew this, and that was exactly why he stood there, calm and steady, while Andrews was trapped in despair. It was only a matter of time before Andrews met his death at Adam’s hands.Adam inhaled deeply, his chest rising as he steadied his breath, then sighed in a tone that carried both weariness and sharp determination. His eyes, glowing faintly with restrained fury, locked on Dexter.“Now,” Adam said, his vo

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 488

The way Adam held Dexter up by his neck—his toes barely brushing the dusty floor—made the mage look like a ragdoll dangling helplessly in the air. Dexter’s face was turning an unhealthy shade of red, and his breath came in short, desperate rasps as the pressure on his windpipe increased. His eyes bulged slightly, and beads of sweat formed on his forehead. He tried to squirm free, but Adam’s grip was like iron. The suffocating sensation was unbearable, yet Dexter’s ego refused to allow him to plead for mercy. He would rather choke than beg Adam for release. That same stubborn arrogance that had carried him this far pushed him to gamble on one last desperate move. Since Adam had brought their bodies so close, Dexter thought perhaps he could take advantage of the proximity to land a surprise strike.Summoning every ounce of willpower left in his fading body, Dexter reached into his pocket with his free hand. His fingers fumbled, but at last they found the handle of a small concealed knif

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 487

Adam groaned, his tone carrying both annoyance and fatigue. Things had become far more complicated than he had anticipated. What was supposed to be a straightforward takedown was spiraling into something much more difficult.Who would have imagined that Dexter, the arrogant mage, was capable of pulling off something so dangerous—changing the trajectory of his fireballs, turning them into guided projectiles that acted almost like homing missiles? It wasn’t something Adam had expected, and it was impressive in its own twisted way. Then again, Dexter wasn’t just any random mage. He was well-versed in spellcraft, someone with a frighteningly deep pool of knowledge and experience. More importantly, he was a recognized member of Saber Synth, the most powerful and feared magical organization in the entire world. With credentials like that, perhaps nothing Dexter did should ever be considered *too* surprising. And yet, even with that in mind, this new development bordered on the ridiculous.“

  • The Almighty Landon — Chapter 486

Angry and frustrated that his last barrage had failed to strike Adam, Dexter began to unleash fireballs one after the other in rapid succession. His target remained the same—Adam, who kept darting around the room with incredible speed, evading every single attack as though the fireballs were nothing more than playful sparks.Adam’s plan was simple yet highly effective. He wasn’t going to recklessly charge in. Instead, he chose to keep moving, carefully circling and closing in on Dexter while dodging the incoming fireballs. Once he was close enough, he intended to finish the battle swiftly.Dexter, however, wasn’t a fool. He knew exactly what Adam was planning. That was why he continued to fire one scorching purple flame after another, not necessarily to hit Adam directly, but to maintain distance and keep the martial artist from closing the gap.But there was a limit. Dexter was running out of ammunition. He understood the mechanics of his own spell better than anyone else, and he kne
