Angel System

Waking up with the worst headache of his life, Hiro's eyes slowly fluttered open trying to receive light and bring him back to consciousness.

‘Huh, what is this, where am I?” Hiro thought as he racked his brain, trying to figure out what happened.

The last thing he remembered was being beaten by his Senior and the leader of his gang before being kicked out like a dog.

‘Did I die?, How long was I out for? ’ Hiro thought, his mind instantly went to the pain from his lungs, he hurriedly touched his stomach but couldn't feel anything wrong, in fact he felt better than ever before.

Hiro stood up grogilly, sleepiness still battling with his mind as he looked around his room, ‘The circle. ’ Hiro thought as he remembered the circle that his parents had gifted him, he looked around trying to figure out where the circle was but it seemed to have truly disappeared.

“What was that thing I saw again? . ” Hiro asked himself trying to remember the last few minutes of his life.

“UHM, S. S. S. Syst.., Angel System” Hiro called out finally remembering the last words he saw before passing out causing an obstruction to appear in his peripheral vision.

Hiro shook his head vigorously in an attempt to clear his vision, but the screen didn't vanish and instead continued to remain there floating till he thought about it disappearing and it did. 'It must be thought activated then.' Hiro said to himself as he slowly tried to process everything.

The next thing that came to his mind were the books that were glowing during his 'transformation'. He quickly scurried across the ground in an attempt to find the books, managing to grab one after few seconds.

He tried opening the book only to discover that it was blank, he moved on to the another book and the same scenario repeated itself over and over again, out of frustration he hurriedly opened every book till he came across four books with a [1] boldly written on it.

Hiro selected yes without hesitation, the book slowly crumbled into dust disappearing without an atom of evidence

A refreshing feeling washed over Hiro's body making his eyes sparkle with hope, he felt more powerful just from absorbing those books, he greedily absorbed three more causing a wave of power and refreshment to wash over his body.

Hiro looked at his arms only to realize that they were three times as big as before, and his previously lean and fit body was now that of a heavy jock, the change wasn't monstrous but it was noticeable.

"Did I just get more powerful? " Hiro said out loud and began squeezing his palms trying to test his grip strength

'What is this system?, did I just gain four new abilities or something?

Is this regular for all ability users?'

‘Were those abilities? ’

After Mana Energy was discovered by humans, mana abilities followed immediately, immediately humans absorbed Mana they would absorb ability cores or ability books to give them unique abilities.

Mana cores were a representation of mana itself in the form of an ability while mana books were techniques, trainings and guidelines one had to follow to gain a certain ability, ability cores were extremely rare and so valuable that no one sold them but ability books weren't cheap either a low grade ability book cost $100,000, so when Hiro absorbed those books and gained new abilities he thought they were ability books.

Hiro was initially wary of the system, but since it didn't hurt and gave him more power he was fine with it, his mind soon wondered to all the various possibilities the system could bring.

His adrenaline rose and his excitement was filled and he began to leap from chair to chair while performing various stunts and flips, he felt faster and stronger than he had ever been before, in his mind he imagined cutting the heads of various demons as he ran through the battle field.

[ANGEL FLASH]

Hiro activated one of his skills in excitement causing him to gain a sudden burst of speed, his body and vision blurred and his body rammed into his couch, dividing it instantly.

“Woah” Hiro said in excitement as he looked at the outcome of his skills, more adrenaline pumped into his veins and he could feel more power in his body.

“With this system I could be limitless. ” Hiro said in joy looking at his hand in surprise, if anyone had told him that he would become so powerful in such a short time he would have spat on their faces.

Hiro wanted to try out the rest of his skills but after seeing the aftermath of just one of his skills he decided against it, his house was pretty small and he was afraid of bringing down the only thing he owned.

He eventually wore himself out and retired to his bed crashing on it 'Military, demons I am coming for you. Hiro thought as he went to sleep anticipating my next few days of his journey at the military academy, the military were going to come extract Hiro by 2A.M in the morning tomorrow and it was already eight PM , Hiro hurriedly packed his bags and made sure everything was neat and ready for his upcoming trip, he eventually wore himself out and crashed on his bed.

Within a room as dark as the expanse of space itself a man wearing a crown with seven portions sat down peacefully as the darkness did not affect his sight in the slightest, he picked up a beverage and began sipping on the contents peacefully.

"What the. "however, the man's peaceful moment was disturbed by a terrible feeling that sent chills down his spine, and the man who was Draven's father said threw his cup away.

"Did I just sense an Angel, that pulse of energy was so faint and pure, but it looked to be masked with mundane cells." Draven's father said

"Draven", the man called leading to a seven-foot-tall boy with all-black hair and black eyes, his fair skin was mirrored and complemented by his white-looking lips, and his jawline was tight and well-defined and so were his muscles, a slight aura of darkness was radiating off him as he stood before his father.

"Yes Father", He said as he stood before his father in the dark room.

"I sensed a faint pulse of Angel energy coming from someone about your age, would you mind infiltrating the military to eliminate this threat?" Draven's father said

"I shall do as you command," Draven said before fading into the darkness.

"Why does he have to sound so knightly? " the man said to himself as he began sipping on another beverage.

"Now, let's see who would win the light or the darkness". The man said laughing subtly as he continued to drink.

Draven appeared on a dry patch of grass with his mind fully focused on the task ahead of him he was going to kill that stupid Angel just like the Angels had killed his innocent mother.

“Angel, I am coming for you. ” Draven said steeling his resolve, a dark smile appearing on his face and his killing intent growing
