Seeing the delighted look on Hector’s face, Jack couldn’t understand why Hector seemed so pleased. He should have been trembling, fearing being caught in a lie, not grinning happily.

However, Hector's grin widened upon hearing that the hotel belonged to the Henderson family. Knowing now who owned the hotel made things even easier for him.

“What’s with that smile?” Jack asked, taken aback by Hector’s reaction.

Hector’s lips curled further, and he laughed to taunt Jack. He could tell Jack had no idea why he wasn’t terrified by the revelation.

“Thank you for telling me who owns this hotel,” Hector said, his laughter fading into a mocking smile. “I’ll be sure to use the information you just gave me.”

Originally, Hector hadn’t known that the property belonged to his family, but now that he did, he was eager to teach Jack a lesson for bragging about his family connections, especially when he wasn’t close to any family members himself.
