11: Into The Forest Heart (II)

“URHG!” Leonard said, putting Alice and Barry down.

When he glimpsed the attack, the young man immediately sprang into action. With his arms, he leapt, carrying the pair into the air.

Leonard helped Barry and Alice to their feet, his gaze fixed on the raised creature in the distance.

"Is everyone okay? This thing doesn't play around," he asked, concern evident in his voice.

"Just a few scratches. It could have been worse," Alice replied, her voice quiet but determined.

Barry quickly inspected his machines, his face expressing a combination of worry and focus. He knew the situation was serious, but his resolve was clear in his determined expression.

"My things got the worst of it, but I think it's still functional. At least it gives us a chance," he said, his voice charged with resilient determination.

Leonard turned to the creature with a serious look, his brows furrowed as he assessed the creature's wooden cuirass. His mind was working at full speed, looking for weaknesses and plans
