"Hmph, let's see how long you can keep up this act!" Sitting beside Victor, Jane looked at Henry with disdain.

Jane wasn't worried about Victor not being able to pay the bill. She thought that Victor might feel a bit distressed, but Henry would have to spend all his savings and end up in debt because of this meal.

So what if he won this round? Their social status and wealth gap wouldn't change at all. In the end, Henry would still be a broke loser!

A man who did something so foolish for the sake of saving face was just stupid!

Jane sipped her wine, a cold smile playing on her lips. She felt that leaving Henry and getting together with Victor was the right choice.

An hour later, everyone had finished eating and was leaning back in their chairs, sipping wine and resting.

"Henry, we're done eating. Go settle the bill! You're not planning on skipping out on it, are you?" Kent rubbed his bulging belly, looking at Henry with ill intent.

Except for Charles, Maurice , and Maureen, who looked at Henry with concern, everyone else was watching him with an expectant look, waiting to see him make a fool of himself.

"Heh, Kent, you've got quite an appetite. You ate so much, and yet you're still not full. Can't wait to eat some shit already, huh? Since we're all colleagues, if you're that eager, I'll make sure you get what you want!" Henry shrugged, pressing the call button as he spoke to Kent.

"Hmph, you find enough money to pay the bill first!" Kent snorted, crossing his legs and leaning back, rocking slightly, as if ready to enjoy the show.

He never thought he'd lose, so he hadn't taken his earlier bet seriously.

"Hello, your total for today, after rounding, comes to 170,000 dollars. Will that be cash or card?"

Soon, the woman in the cheongsam, who had served them before, swayed her hips as she walked over to Henry. She handed him the bill with both hands.

"What? 170,000 dollars?" Everyone gasped upon hearing the total, their faces full of shock. When they were ordering, they hadn't kept track of the cost, assuming that no matter how expensive the meal was, it wouldn't exceed 100,000 dollars. They hadn't expected it to be a full 70,000 dollars more! That much money could buy a decent entry-level sports car, and they had just spent it all on one meal!

"Damn, this is too expensive…" Victor muttered, his eyes a bit vacant. 'Even if I only have to cover half, that's still 85,000 dollars! I have assets worth millions, but most of it's tied up in real estate and stocks—I don't have that much cash on hand!'

"170,000 dollars, right? Just a moment." Before anyone could recover from their shock, Henry didn't even look at the bill. He just opened his backpack in front of everyone and pulled out ten stacks of cash.

"Holy s*it!" Kent was rocking back in his chair. But when he saw this, he couldn't help but widen his eyes in disbelief. He fell backward along with his chair, crashing hard to the floor.

Hiss! The crowd collectively gasped, paying no attention to Kent's embarrassment. All eyes were on the backpack at Henry's feet.

When Henry had opened the bag, they had seen clearly that it was filled with stacks of crisp, green bills, probably at least a hundred bundles!

Victor's mouth hung open, his eyes glazed over in disbelief, wondering if he was dreaming. Jane's face was even more sour, and she suspected whether the cash was real.

If it was all real money, then dumping a young, wealthy Henry for a middle-aged, overweight Victor would make her the laughingstock of the entire company.

"I'm splitting the bill with Victor over there. We each pay half. One, two, three… eight, nine! Here's 90,000 dollars. 85,000 is my share, and the extra 5,000 is your tip!" Henry said, pointing at Victor as he counted 90,000 dollars and handed it to the woman in the cheongsam.

"Alright, thank you, sir! Thank you so much! It's been my pleasure to serve you!" The woman's hands trembled as she accepted the cash from Henry, her face flushed with excitement. Even though this was a high-end restaurant frequented by wealthy clients, it was her first time meeting someone as generous as Henry, who casually gave a 5,000 tip!

"Kent, didn't you say earlier that if I could pay for everyone's meal, you'd eat shit? I've settled the bill, so it's your turn to perform," Henry said coldly, turning to Kent.

Kent, who had just managed to get back up from the floor, felt his legs go weak at Henry's words and nearly fell again.

"You... I... I..." Kent stammered, gripping the table and darting his eyes around nervously, hoping someone would step in to save him.

The others instinctively avoided Kent's gaze with no intention of speaking up for him. Some even had gleeful expressions on their faces, enjoying the situation.

"Ahem… Henry, we're all colleagues here. Isn't making Kent eat shit a bit too much?" Just when Kent didn't know what to do, Maureen suddenly cleared her throat and spoke up.

Kent looked at Maureen with gratitude, thinking she was a saint like the Virgin Mary!

But he didn't have long to feel touched before he heard Maureen continue, "After all, we just finished eating, and this meal was so expensive. It would be a shame if he threw it all up! For my sake, let him just bark like a dog instead."

"Woof, woof, woof…" Finally, Kent had no choice but to grit his teeth and bark a few times in front of everyone. Amid the laughter of the crowd, he slumped back into his chair, utterly dejected.

"Sir, excuse me, how would you like to pay the remaining half of the bill? By card or cash?" The waitress, who had been watching the entire scene, couldn't help but chuckle. Then, swaying her hips, she walked over to Victor with the bill in hand.
