‎The rain fell like needles from the night sky, cold and unforgiving.

‎A black sedan rolled to a slow stop in front of the towering gates of the Voss family estate, one of the most powerful families in the entire city.

‎The gate guards barely glanced at the car before one of them frowned.

‎“Who’s this?”

‎The car door opened.

‎A man stepped out.

‎Tall. Calm. Dressed in a simple black coat that clung slightly to his frame from the rain. His hair, dark and damp, framed a face that was too sharp, too composed for someone standing in front of this place like a beggar.

‎His eyes lifted.

‎Cold. Unreadable.

‎“…Adrian?”

‎One of the guards squinted, then laughed.

‎“No way. Adrian Voss?”

‎The name spread quickly, like poison.

‎Within seconds, the intercom buzzed. The gates creaked open not in welcome, but curiosity.

‎Five years.

‎It had been five years since Adrian Voss was thrown out of this place like trash.

‎Five years since he was disowned, humiliated, and erased.

‎And now... He was back.

‎Inside the estate, the lights blazed bright.

‎The Voss family was gathered.

‎Tonight was a celebration.

‎Laughter echoed through the grand hall, glasses clinking, expensive perfume filling the air. At the center stood a man in a crisp white suit, smiling confidently as guests surrounded him.

‎Victor Voss.

‎The heir.

‎The pride of the family.

‎And beside him, a woman in a red gown, her hand resting lightly on his arm.

‎Beautiful. Elegant. Familiar.

‎Adrian’s gaze darkened slightly.

‎Lila.

‎His ex-fiancée.

‎The woman who once promised to wait for him.

‎Now standing beside his cousin as if Adrian had never existed.

‎“Look who decided to crawl back.”

‎The voice cut through the hall like a blade.

‎All eyes turned.

‎Adrian stood at the entrance, rainwater dripping faintly from his coat, his presence instantly drawing attention, not because of power but because of the audacity.

‎A murmur rippled through the crowd.

‎“That’s him?”

‎“I thought he was dead.”

‎“Didn’t he get kicked out?”

‎Victor’s smile widened.

‎“Well, well…” He stepped forward slowly, adjusting his cufflinks. “If it isn’t my dear cousin. Adrian Voss.”

‎He stopped a few feet away, looking Adrian up and down with open disdain.

‎“You’ve got some nerve showing your face here.”

‎Adrian didn’t respond immediately.

‎His gaze swept across the room.

‎The chandeliers. The polished marble floors. The people who once looked at him like family was now looking at him like dirt.

‎Nothing had changed.

‎Except him.

‎“I heard there was a celebration,” Adrian said calmly. “Thought I’d stop by.”

‎A beat of silence.

‎Then laughter exploded.

‎“Did you hear that?”

‎“He came to celebrate?”

‎“With what? His poverty?”

‎Victor chuckled, shaking his head.

‎“You always had jokes, Adrian. But let me remind you…” His voice dropped, sharp. “You’re no longer part of this family.”

‎Lila finally spoke, her voice soft but cold.

‎“You shouldn’t have come back.”

‎Adrian’s eyes met hers.

‎For a moment, something flickered in the depths of his gaze.

‎Then vanished.

‎“Why?” he asked simply.

‎Her lips tightened.

‎“You’re embarrassing yourself.”

‎Victor smirked, wrapping an arm around her waist.

‎“Let me make this clear for you.” He leaned in slightly, his voice low but carrying enough for everyone to hear. “Five years ago, you were a useless waste of space. And judging by how you look now…”

‎His eyes swept over Adrian’s simple clothes.

‎“…nothing’s changed.”

‎More laughter.

‎Mocking. Cruel.

‎Adrian stood there, unmoving.

‎Like none of it touched him.

‎And somehow... That made it worse.

‎Victor’s smile faltered for a split second.

‎“Security,” he called casually. “Throw him out.”

‎Two guards stepped forward immediately.

‎But before they could reach him, Adrian spoke.

‎“Victor.”

‎His voice wasn’t loud.

‎But it cut through everything.

‎The guards stopped.

‎Victor raised an eyebrow.

‎“What?”

‎Adrian tilted his head slightly.

‎“You really think you’ve won?”

‎The room went quiet.

‎Victor let out a short laugh.

‎“Won? There was never a competition. You lost the moment you were born.”

‎A pause.

‎Then... Adrian smiled.

‎It wasn’t warm.

‎It wasn’t friendly.

‎It was… dangerous.

‎“Is that so?”

‎Before anyone could react, A sharp buzz echoed through the hall.

‎Victor’s phone vibrated.

‎He frowned, glancing down at the screen.

‎His expression changed.

‎Confusion.

‎Then irritation.

‎“What the hell…?”

‎Another buzz.

‎Then another.

‎Phones began ringing all over the room.

‎Guests checked their screens, murmurs rising.

‎“What’s happening?”

‎“My stocks...”

‎“No way... this can’t be right!”

‎Victor’s face darkened as he scrolled rapidly.

‎“The Voss Group’s shares…” he muttered. “They’re dropping?”

‎His head snapped up, eyes locking onto Adrian.

‎“What did you do?”

‎Adrian didn’t answer.

‎Instead, he took a slow step forward.

‎Then another.

‎Each step echoed across the silent hall.

‎“Five years ago,” Adrian said quietly, “you threw me out like I was nothing.”

‎His gaze swept across the room.

‎“You laughed.”

‎Another step.

‎“You mocked.”

‎Another.

‎“You erased me.”

‎He stopped.

‎Right in front of Victor.

‎Close enough for only him to hear the next words.

‎But somehow, everyone felt them.

‎“I gave you five years.”

‎Victor’s throat tightened.

‎“For what?” he snapped.

‎Adrian’s eyes darkened.

‎“To enjoy it.”

‎Silence. Heavy. Suffocating.

‎Then...

‎Adrian straightened, his expression returning to that calm, unreadable mask.

‎“This is just the beginning.”

‎He turned.

‎And walked away.

‎No one stopped him.

‎No one dared.

‎Behind him, chaos erupted.

‎Phones rang. Voices rose. Panic spread like wildfire.

‎And at the center of it all... Victor stood frozen.

‎Staring at the man he thought he had buried five years ago.

‎A single thought echoing in his mind.

‎What… did Adrian become?

‎Outside, the rain had stopped.

‎The city lights shimmered against the wet pavement.

‎Adrian stepped back into the black sedan.

‎The driver glanced at him through the rearview mirror.

‎“Sir, was that necessary?”

‎Adrian leaned back, closing his eyes briefly.

‎“Not yet,” he said.

‎His voice was calm.

‎Cold.

‎“Tonight was just… a greeting.”

‎The car engine hummed to life.

‎As it pulled away from the Voss estate, Adrian opened his eyes again.

‎And in their depths...

‎There was no hesitation.

‎No mercy.

‎Only one thing remained.

‎Return. Dominate. Destroy.
