Looking for the Perpetrator

Thomas rubbed his face in concern. "We all know how Damian acts. You're right; he's releasing us because it's our wedding day. He doesn't even look jealous of you; maybe he'll wait until we're done with this, and then he'll act. He's gone now, but he'll be back," Thomas said, making Rose catch her breath.

The bride swallowed; she saw and remembered Damian's gaze on her earlier. Sharp and prey-like, during their relationship, Damian never looked at her like that at all.

Rose realized that she had betrayed Damian, and when he wasn't around, she married Thomas and openly betrayed him. That's why he wouldn't talk to her and only glanced at her once.

"We have to be prepared for whatever he will do after this. Don't let us suffer."
