The Curse Of the Black Diamond

NEW DUTIES ARISE

   As the saying goes that with great power,comes great responsibilities,Reece,due to the power he had, was going to  have new responsibilities aside being an investigator of the NIA.

       He had learn to control the voices in his head over time and learnt how to listen to them one by one and locate where they were coming from. At times,some of them he heard were not urgent and when he used his speed to arrive at the incident,he'd end up being embarrassed and the next knew,the unfortunate had happened.

   One night after work,when they returned to the safe house,Reece asked Dr.Manuel " Is there  a way to decipher important incidents from mere ones?"

Dr.Manuel laughed and said"Of course there is,as you were told in the beginning,you can't save everyone but it's up to you to make a decision on who to save.Just take a deep breath,focus and ask the Diamond to reveal all incidents which require help to you and choose the ones to attend to.

  "As they were talking,Reece began hearing the voices and said,"Dr,it's happening","You know what to do"said Dr.Manuel. He placed his right hand on the Diamond and said"Diamond,Reveal"He saw  four different incidents which required help. The first one was a robbery in an alley ,the second one was a man assaulting his wife brutally,the third was a young man hanging on the edge of a deep pit and the fourth, a man at gunpoint about to be killed by a contract killer.

Reece was to choose from these the most important ones and help out. He said to himself,"with the first incident,i can ask Sam to report it to the nearby police on stakeout in that area same as the second one but with the third and fourth,I have to be there."

  He quickly told Sam to call the police to those areas and gave him the locations of the incidents as he sped of to save the young man hanging on the edge of a pit and the man at gunpoint. Like a flash of light he was at the edge of the pit and pulled the young man out and moved him to a safe place. What happened was that when ever the diamond was not being used in revealing,not only the Diamond would shine but also his whole body,so bright that it was difficult to look at him and so the young man didn't know who or what had saved him from the hole. 

Quickly he left him there and when he got to the man at gunpoint,the contract killer, shot. Reece,who was approaching to the scene,saw the bullet move in slow motion towards the man and move infront of him and took the bullet out of the air into his hands."What are you?"asked both the man and the killer as he turned to the man and said"Your Savior" and to the killer,"Your worst Nightmare" as he beat up the killer who tried to attack him again and cuffed him. 

Since the light didn't allow identification,he couldn't be seen, he called Sam to call the Police and the NIA so that the killer would be interrogated on who sent him to kill the man and why. He left back to the safe house with his speed and it felt like he had never left. Mr.Norman called him and congratulated him for a good job done and the the contract killer was in their custody and he would be investigated in the morning.
