"Like I had guessed, you are no ordinary youngster" just then, sounds of laughter rang out as two figures appeared from behind Drew.
They were Dorian and his master from the Red Canyon Sect. Unfortunately, Drew didn't know they were the envoys from the Red Canyon Sect since the identity of all VIP customers were top secret. "Who are you and why are you stalking me?" Drew frowned with disappointment. "Oh? it seems that you are disappointed? were you expecting someone tougher?" Dorian's master chuckled upon noticing Drew's countenance. "I was expecting a lady" Drew shrugged. "Interesting!" Dorian's master chuckled as his eyes twinkled. It was unknown what was going on his mind. "Although I had expected this.. if you were able to walk past the premises of the Auction House unhindered, that means you were pay up the huge amount you bidded on those items" Drew's face became stern upon hearing the other party's statement. He instantly became alert as he cautiously roamed his eyes around in case of any sudden attacks. "Rest easy. I didn't come to rob you of your properties. Not like you are even carrying one with you" the old man laughed as his eyes roamed over towards Drew's fingers before he retracted them back. Although the old man said this, Drew didn't dare let down his guard. "I came to invite you over to the Red Canyon Sect" the old man finally revealed his real intentions. "I-Invite me? wait! you are from the Red Canyon Sect?!" Drew's heart almost leapt out from his chest upon hearing the statement from the other party. "Heh" Dorian sneered when he saw Drew's huge reaction after the reveal. It further fueled his planet sized ego and feeling of superiority. "Yes. I am a Divine Physician and I am interested in a young medical geniuses like you" the Old Man added, further confusing Drew. "H-How did you know I am a Divine Physician?" he questioned suspiciously. "Well, it's not that difficult I figure out. After all, most of the items you bidded on were Herbal items. Let me make a guess, you are trying to concoct the Artic Soothing solution?" Drew's eyes almost popped out from their sockets upon hearing the other party's accurate guess. "I-Indeed. But how did you know that?!' Drew asked, almost out of breath from the shock he was currently feeling. "Well. It's not difficult. Not only did you bid over the Jade Turtle egg, you also bid over the Frost Empress flower and the Sand Salamander Root. It wasn't difficult for me to guess just what kind of potion you were about to brew " the Old Man smiled confidently. "Not to mention I can sense a thick smell of herbs from you" he further added. "However the Artic Soothing solution isn't something that a newbie can brew. Are you perhaps acting under the instructions of your master?" the old man asked. "No. I plan on brewing it myself" Drew thought for a bit before deciding to come clean. He didn't know if the other party was so strong that he could detect if he was lying. "Nonsense!!" the old man snorted in annoyance as his beards flayed about.. "How can you waste such rare herbs like that?! What about your master? is he really going to sit by and watch you waste such valuable resources?!" Drew was taken aback by the other party's sudden outburst. And at the same time, he found it to be very comical and hilarious at the same time. "He thinks I am capable of brewing it so he let me" he replied, which wasn't technically a lie since he was capable of brewing the Artic Soothing solution. Naturally, his reply came as a shock to the Master and Disciple pair. "Hmph. Stop this shameless bragging " Dorian snorted with a contemptuous expression. "Although I know you are just trying to do this to impress my master, but you should know where to stop this shameless bragging. Forget me, even my master cannot brew such a high grade medicine " "Koff. Koff" the Old Man coughed awkwardly. "The Artic Soothing solution isn't that difficult to brew you stupid disciple. Don't make your master lose face here " "It's just that the recipe is very rare and few Divine Physicians possesses it. Not to mention, the process of brewing it is very technical and just a slight error can result in the whole process of the brewing going wrong " Just then, the expression of the Old Man became stern as he glanced at Drew. "Can you really brew it? and how many percent is your success rate?" He asked. "Success rate?" Drew's brows creased in confusion. "Hmph. You dare call yourself a Divine Physician and you don't even know what the term success rate means? Master, are you sure this guy isn't a sham?" Dorian sniggered in mockery at the ignorance being displayed by Drew. "Stop it Dorian. Be nice" Upon chastising his disciple, he focused his attention back on Drew. "I apologize for my disciple's unruly behavior. Being a disciple from a Sect bolstered his arrogance and ego by a notch. I hope you didn't take offense at his words" "Tch. Master, why are you even apologizing to this guy? He.." Dorian was about to whine out a load of crap, However a sharp glare from his master shut him up. "As for the term Success rate, it is the rate at which a Divine Physician successfully brews a medicine with either one or more of it's ingredients being spirit herbs.." "Unlike regular herbs, spirit herbs posses spirit energy within them, as such while brewing them, it tends to be a trickish process, since not only would the Divine Physician have to regulate the flow of spirit energy pulsating within these herbs, they would also have to transfer this spirit energy over to the rest of the herbs in the medicine cauldron" "As such, there are times when a Divine Physician tries brewing these medicines, only for it to end up in failure. As such, success rate is the careful analysis of a Divine Physician that shows the how successful they are in brewing these kind of medicine " "I won't lie to you, but my success rate is fifty percent. My disciple here has a success rate of forty five percent " "Oh. So that's what you were talking about " Drew nodded in understanding. "Well, I've not really gone through the stress of tracking down my performance, but since I've started brewing medicine, they've all been a success " Drew reply. However his reply was like a dynamite exploding in the ears of the master and disciple pair."Drew! you are finally here!" Tom who had been worriedly pacing about at the garden area sighed in relief when she saw Drew walking past the gates of her family apartment. Rushing over to his side, she began to check his body in case of any bruises or injuries. "Are you okay? were you attacked? are you injured? gosh, I'm so sorry" At that moment, Tom seemed to have taken the role of a over caring house wife whose husband had just returned from the battle field. "Oh. Oh. Looks like you have a very caring girlfriend. I'm jealous!" Tom paused her frantic inspection when she heard a joking remark from behind Drew. Looking over, she finally noticed that Drew wasn't alone but had brought company instead. "He's an expert Divine Physician. You can call him master Bumi" Drew took it upon himself to introduce Dorian and his master. He intentionally omitted the part where they were from the Red Canyon Sect since doing so would only make Tom and her family worry even more. Hearing that
"Let's do this" Drew cracked his knuckles as he stared at the arrays of expensive and rare herbs laid on the table before him. Besides the herbs was a large cauldron.Although the cauldron couldn't be compared to that of the one he has back at Delta City, it wasn't of low quality either. He was currently inside a spacious room that the Mick family had personally arranged for him to brew the antidote. A serene atmosphere was a must for a Divine Physician, whenever they wanted to perform their 'medecinal magic' Currently apart from Drew, there was also two others present: Master Bumi and his disciple Dorian. "Can you really brew this medicine?" Drew massaged his temples when he heard that same repetitive question from Master Bumi. "If I can't, can you refine it as well?" he retorted. He had already lost track of how many times the other party had doubted his skills. In the face of Drew's question, Master Bumi smiled with embarrassment. "I'm just concerned about the herbs. It w
"How was it?" Currently the whole Mick family were gathered around Mr Caleb lying on a white bed in his room, with eager expressions. "What are you saying Rosalie? your father just drank the medicine. There's no way he would suddenly recover, right?" Although it sounded like a chastisement, Mrs. Mick was actually asking of Drew's opinion. "Sigh. The Sun Curse is a deadly ailment" Drew who was standing a few feets away, holding an empty bowl, sighed. "Although the antidote I brewed was a powerful one, Mr. Mick won't recover instantly. He still needs two days worth of rest before he can return back to normal. " "I'd advise that you give him his space during those two days. Not only that, ensure to change his diet.. he shouldn't eat meat or anything that was cooked or stir fried" he advised. "But my dad hates vegetables" Tom frowned with worry. "Well, then he has to learn how to enjoy eating them. Although he can substitute vegetables with fruits " Drew replied. "Thank you ver

Yawning heavily, Drew got up from the bed he had used to pass the night. Rubbing the dirt off the corners of his eye, he sighed deeply. He could still feel that his depleted martial energy had not yet been fully replenished. Looks like the Artic Soothing solution had taken much from him than he had anticipated. "I wonder if the packages have arrived?" he mumbled as he made his way towards the bathroom to freshen up... Old Man Benson was clad in tracksuit as he watered the vegetable plants in his garden at a steady pace. If an outsider came, they would be shocked to discover that this seemingly ordinary man was once one of the top big shots in North Heights, as well as the father of two of the most influential individuals in the city. Five minutes passed when he sudden sighed as he stopped what he was doing. "I wonder how long you are going to keep standing there eh?" he slowly said. "Heh. Is it a crime to watch my dear father as he goes about his business?" a pearl of laughte
"Milk delivery!" Drew's bicyckle bell jingled as he parked at a dilapidated house. His expression scrunched up. How could such an apartment exist in this present world? It was made of brown worn out bricks. Apart from the wooden door, the walls were cleaved apart. "Come in!" an old voice replied. "Uh, okay" Drew checked the GPS on his watch. He was sure this was the place where the customer who ordered milk stayed. Hoisting up a packet of milk from the basket on tied to the bicycle, he walked briskly towards the apartment. Bang! He gave the door a gentle push. But accidently, it flew out of the door pane. "Sheesh!" Drew bit his tongue. "It's okay. It's been a long time since we had visitors" the apartment occupant laughed. He was an old man dressed in tank tops, bermuda shorts and a fisher man hat. He was seated on a stool, steering tea in the cup he held. "I brought your milk" Drew flashed the milk. A gentle but invisible force hoisted up the milk, bringing it towards t
"You are an A.I? who created you?" Drew asked. He finally realized that he didn't awaken a super power. Instead, a symbiotic machine bonded with him.-[I Am sorry, but you are not eligible to acess such information] Rolie replied. "When will i be eligible?" Drew asked.-[When the time comes you will know] At that moment, new words appeared on the panel screen.-[HOST INFO]-Name: Drew-Alias: ???-Race: Node-Nationality: Human-Planet: Earth-System: Sol-Galaxy: Milky way-[ATTRIBUTES]-Level: Level 0-Strength: 2 (pathetic)-Agility: 1 (pathetic)-Speed: 1 (pathetic)-Physique: 2 (pathetic)-Energy: 20-DF: 1 (pathetic)-COMBAT POWER: 4 (pathetic)-System Note: What a weak host!-[SKILL TREE]-Analysis: Can observe anything below level 2. 3 metre radius. When Drew exited the hospital, he flagged down a taxi. "Where to?" the taxi man asked respectfully. "The nearest boutique. The faster you get me there, the more tips you will recieve" Drew said as he got in. The taxi man's eyes lit up. Another generous customer. He instantly stepped on the pedal and brought the vehicle to life. While the taxi man did his best to drive at his maximum, Drew sat comfortably at the back seat. He opened the system panel and tried increasing his strength stat.-[To increase strength stat by +1 costs 2 deci points] Drew went ahed, successfully increasing his strength stat. He only felt a slight ache in his biceps before the feeling vanished. Drew used up another six deci points, successfully increasing it to seven. He squandered the remaining ten deci points on his physique, bringing it on par with his strength stat. Due to this, his base damage increased. "This is not enough! i have to spend more money and get more deci points" he thought inwardl
