Saanvi

Saanvi walked through the bloody hallway underneath the house. It was dimly lit and she could barely see 5 feet in front of her.

She put her hands in front of her, protecting her from slamming her face into a wall like she had a few times before. Saanvi had been walking for a while and wondered when the hallway would end.

Saanvi continued to walk but slowed to a stop and squinted her eyes. She thought she saw a shadow darker than the shadows surrounding it. She slowly took a few steps closer to the darker shadow.

She squinted harder and and thought she could an outline of red horns way above her. That's when she realized what it was.

It was the Devil and it was standing right in front of the stairway that led upstairs. To Ryder. And to the escape.

She slowly stepped backward and tripped over her own feet. She gasped when she thought the Devil might've seen and heard her but realized it hadn't moved.

Saanvi felt a mix of confusion, fear, and curiosity. Curiosity took the best of her and she got up and cautiously walked closer to the Devil.

It stood up with its hunched back. It hadn't moved at all and Saanvi wondered, Why isn't it moving? It surely would've if it noticed me... What if it's not paying attention? What is it doing?  Wait. Is it sleeping? Can the Devil sleep?

Saanvi concluded that the Devil was sleeping. She didn't want to wake it up and it was blocking the way out so she had to be very careful.

The Devil way right in the way of the stairway, leaving only little gaps on each side of it for Saanvi to squeeze through.

Saanvi went on each side of the Devil, trying to see which side had the largest gap for her to squeeze through. She finally settled on the right side.

She took a deep breath and sucked in her stomach as much as she could.

Saanvi pushed herself to the wall as much as she could and started to slide through.

Saanvi was almost there when she accidentally let out a deep breath that she was holding which made her chest rub against the Devil.

Shit! Please don't move. Oh, please don't move.

Saanvi held her breath and didn't move as she waited for the Devil to move and catch her.

After a few minutes of standing there and waiting, she finally started to move again, more cautiously this time. She finally made it through the tight squeeze between the Devil and the wall. She looked up the wide and long stairs.

Saanvi started to walk up the stairway when she tripped on one of the stairs. She let out a yell as she was barely able to save herself from a face first fall. She covered her mouth once she realized what she had done.

    Oh no.

Saanvi slowly turned her head around and we saw the Devil turned around, now facing the stairway.

Oh, fuck. Why does this have to happen to me?

It didn't move or make any noise so Saanvi slowly started to walk the stairs backward, not taking her eyes off of the Devil.

It growled as soon as she moved. Saanvi screamed and turned around and ran up the stairs.

The Devil roared and ran after her. Saanvi felt the ground shake underneath her as the Devil came up behind her.

Each shake of the ground made her almost lose her footing but she was able to save her self.

Before she could make it up the last few steps, the Devil shook the ground so hard that it made Saanvi fall. She slipped down a few steps but caught herself.

She looked back to see the Devil a ten steps below her but it still towered over her.

"My god, you're huge," Saanvi whispered.

It roared again as it tried to hit her. She rolled away as its hand slammed into the ground. The stairs crushed from the force of the Devil's hit.

Saanvi used the railing to pull herself up but before she could run, the Devil grabbed her and threw her all the way down the stairs.

Saanvi rolled down the stairs, protecting her head. She rolled away from the stairs and slammed into a wall.

Saanvi groaned in pain and couldn't get up.

She tried to get up but fell back down. She felt the ground shake as the Devil stepped down the stairs. She tried to get up again, using the wall as support.

Saanvi leaned up against the wall, unable to stand on her own. She looked around for a weapon to use and found a set of golf clubs in the corner of the room.

She limped toward it, clutching her stomach with one arm and using the wall to hold her up with her other.

The Devil made it down the stairs as Saanvi reached the good clubs. The Devil stomped toward her as she grabbed a golf club.

Saanvi pushed herself off of the wall and grabbed the golf club like she was ready to swing it like a bat.

"Come at me!" Saanvi yelled. "Come at me and see what happens!"

The Devil walked closer and closer to her. It finally came into her reach of swinging at it. But instead of grabbing, hitting, or swatting her, it knelt down. It was on it's knees and its head was just a little higher than her.

It tilted its head as if it was studying her. She swung at it's face. It didn't even flinch as she hit it's nose. It only growled. It quickly moved its head closer to her, making her fall on her back.

Saanvi closed her eyes as started to swing the golf club around until it stopped and got stuck in something squishy.

The Devil roared in her face and seemed to topple over. Her eyes were still closed but she felt the ground shake on her right.

She slowly opened her eyes to see the Devil on it's side, clutching it's face. It roared and seemed to be in pain.

That's when she saw the golf club in between it's fingers and black blood poured out.

I hurt it! I got it in the eye! One point for Saanvi!

Saanvi got up as she cheered in her head. She limped toward the steps as the Devil cried out in pain. Saanvi stopped walking and turned to look at the Devil. It was in so much pain.

I hurt it to protect myself... Why do I feel sorry? It tried to kill me! I shouldn't feel sorry for it. It's a horrible monster that killed innocent people and it tried to kill me.

Saanvi limped up the stairs not looking back as the Devil cried out in pain.

"I'm coming, Ryder. Please be ok," Saanvi said out loud as she reached the top of the stairs.

So just search that up and continue reading on that account. U can forget about this one. If u can't find it, let me know and I'll help u. Also, I changed some things in the book, like spelling mistakes and other things that may have been wrong. I also changed the heights of the demons. They’re going to be a little taller than they were before. Oh, and I changed the way Saanvi looked. It’s not a big difference, it’s just her hair. • Chapter 16

Saanvi Saanvi got up from the spot she had been sitting down for hours. She had just been thinking about Justice and the man. Saanvi had thought about Justice. She didn't deserve this, she had thought to herself. She didn't deserve to die. And neither did the other officer. Saanvi had thought about the man. Flashes of Justice being killed by him had flashed in her mind. She saw his black eyes. His sword on Justice's neck. Him cutting her throat open. Blood spilling out. Justice dropping to the floor. She remebered when she had ran up to Justice, screaming. She had expected to be killed as well but when she had looked back up, they were all gone. She had so many questions. But two were the most important. Where'd they go? Why didn't they kill me too? Saanvi sighed and looked down at Justice's dead body. "I'm so sorry, Justice," Saanvi whispered. A tear drop rolled down her cheek and she didn't bother to wipe it. "You didn't deserve this.
