“Immediately? What do you mean?” Edi asked.

“The Devil System requires initial fuel. We can't give you DP instantly; it must be acquired through intimacy. You have already spent over 12 hours in a coma since the installation. That means you have less than 36 hours before the side effect, Incubus Rage, strikes,” Aurora explained, a serious note of warning now present in her voice.

Edi felt a slight, uncomfortable tremor in his stomach. It wasn't hunger, but rather an unfulfilled desire.

“Then where do I go? Who can I ask for help?” Edi asked, sensing the unstable energy in his body.

“You have to find her yourself. Remember, only Anomalous women or those with high power levels are effective. And, congratulations. We have transferred important data: a contact list, addresses, and a new identity card suitable for the new Desmond,” the man in the suit said, offering a thin smile. It was the first smile Edi had ever seen from him.

“Now go. And don't come back until you've acquired your first DP. I don't appreciate our project turning into a rampaging lunatic within a 5-kilometer radius of here,” Aurora concluded, pointing toward the back door.

Edi nodded. The old Edi was gone. He was now Desmond. Edi was an energy-hungry predator. He looked down. The System reappeared as a small hologram that only he could see.

Edi rose from his position and looked around. The room looked devastated and messy due to the previous events. Had he really just fought a devil or a demon? Edi still couldn't wrap his head around it.

Moreover, now he was the only one in the room, standing in a pool of his own blood.

“Hahahaha,” Edi laughed like a madman. He had just been eaten alive by a strange creature, yet he was still alive?

Various questions raced through Edi's mind until he took a breath and sobered up. Whatever had happened, the important thing was that he was still alive, and the first thing he needed to do was get out of this cursed place as quickly as possible. He couldn't be sure there weren't more dangers waiting for him here.

Edi immediately grabbed his CV, which he had left on the table, and hastily shoved it into his bag. He pulled on a jacket and quickly put it on to hide his torn shirt. He needed to look normal.

However, as he was about to step out, Edi froze, staring at his reflection in a mirror standing in the corner of the room.

Edi’s eyes nearly popped out when he saw how drastically his physique had changed. His body was now taller and more muscular; his skin looked clean and pale, and he had significant musculature. Edi lifted his shirt and saw his stomach, which was now defined with a six-pack. He took off his glasses, yet he could still see clearly. His eyes, which were once blurry without the aid of lenses, were now sharp as a hawk's.

“What is this?” Edi mumbled, a mixture of amazement and fear.

Edi slapped his cheeks, then pinched his arm, just to make sure he wasn't dreaming. His eyes remained glued to his reflection in the mirror, observing his hair and face. He was no longer the nerdy Edi.

“Is this really me? What happened to me?” Edi asked.

Edi couldn't find anyone who could answer his questions, and he had to leave this place immediately. He quickly stepped out of the building. Suddenly, Edi heard a voice in his head, but he had no idea where it was coming from. Edi kept walking, ignoring the persistent sound.

Edi jogged slightly, but not so fast as to arouse suspicion. Even though one or two people gave him strange looks—perhaps because of his torn jacket—Edi didn't care. Once he felt he was far enough away from the building, he headed toward a bus stop and sat down, trying to catch his breath.

Once he felt a little calmer, Edi focused again. The voice returned.

“I am Sabrun. I will serve you and help you become strong and conquer all the women you desire.” The voice sounded cold, professional, and echoed directly in Edi’s mind.

Edi didn't answer, still waiting for the voice that called itself SABRUN to say something else.

“You will be called Desmond. You are now a demon of lust, an Incubus. You must have intercourse at least once every 48 hours. If you expend more demonic energy, then you must have intercourse more frequently to recharge.”

Edi’s eyes widened. He flinched, jumping up from the bus stop seat.

“I’m a demon? Intercourse? I must have heard that wrong,” Edi blurted out.

“Do not reject this! Didn’t Aurora already explain it? If you do not have intercourse for more than 48 hours, ‘Incubus Rage’ will activate. I will take over your body, and you will seduce any woman you encounter simply to survive.”

Edi’s mouth hung open, his eyes bulging even further. “Forget seducing or having intercourse, I don’t even have a girlfriend!” Edi scoffed, full of frustration.

“You should be grateful. If you hadn't been saved, you would be dead now,” Sabrun countered, a subtle threat laced in his voice. “The nerdy Edi is dead. Accept your new identity.”

Edi kept thinking about what else he needed to know about his new self and why he was like this.

“So, besides my body and my name, what else has changed about me?” Edi asked desperately. He took a breath, trying to calm his racing heart. This reality was too absurd. He was eaten by a dog demon, brought back to life, and now forced to become a demon whose sole purpose was sex?

“A lot,” Sabrun replied in a flat, organized tone, as if reading an inventory list. “Your new body is a vessel for the Power of the Incubus. This power requires a resource. We call it DP (Desire Points), and it is recharged through the act of intercourse with female anomalies. Currently, your DP is extremely low. Zero, to be exact.”

Edi swallowed. Zero.

“How do I activate this power? Will I always be this tall and muscular?” Edi asked, looking at his hands, which were no longer covered in the calluses typical of a poor student.

“Good, you’re starting to think efficiently,” Sabrun praised. “You can switch forms between ‘Edi’ (Low-Level Human) and ‘Desmond’ (Incubus Level 1) at will. But remember, every time you use the Desmond form or any demonic power, your DP is depleted.”

“And if my DP runs out?” Edi asked.

The air was heavy with tension. On one side stood General Amun in bronze, magic-plated armor, his sword glowing orange from a fire spell. "Look at me," Desmond commanded, using a low dose of the *Whisper of Submission*. Not to enslave her, but to open her inner eye. "See what I carry. You seek knowledge, don't you? You seek the secrets of other dimensions that aren't found in those old papyrus scrolls?"Seraphina fell silent. Her breath hitched. The following night, Tahira returned. This time she brought bread, cheese, and more importantly: she wasn't wearing her veil."You came," Desmond greeted her, waiting behind the bars."I just brought you the leftovers from dinner," Tahira deflected, handing him the cloth bundle. "Don't get any ideas.""Of course, of course," Desmond took the bread, biting into it ravenously. "But you took off your veil. Who is that for? For me?"Tahira turned her face away, her cheeks flushing under the dim light of the wall torch. "It's hot in here. That's all.""You're beautiful, Tahira," Desmond said. "It's a shame beauty like this is hidden away in a stone fortress.""Stop with the sweet talk," Tahira knelt down in front of the cell, hugging her knees. "You know what? "Kneel!"Desmond stumbled forward as a rough shove landed on his back. Silver chains clattered loudly as he hit the cold stone floor. Dust flew up."Cough! Could you lighten up a bit?" Desmond spat, wiping the corner of his bleeding lip. He looked up at the bald priests surrounding him. "You call yourselves holy men, but you treat people rougher than market thugs.""Silence, Demon," one of the priests spat near Desmond's feet. "You're lucky Vizier Setnakhte didn't just have you beheaded.""Oh, so I should be grateful?" Desmond chuckled cynically, his eyes scanning the room. "What is this place?
