“Immediately? What do you mean?” Edi asked.
“The Devil System requires initial fuel. We can't give you DP instantly; it must be acquired through intimacy. You have already spent over 12 hours in a coma since the installation. That means you have less than 36 hours before the side effect, Incubus Rage, strikes,” Aurora explained, a serious note of warning now present in her voice.
Edi felt a slight, uncomfortable tremor in his stomach. It wasn't hunger, but rather an unfulfilled desire.
“Then where do I go? Who can I ask for help?” Edi asked, sensing the unstable energy in his body.
“You have to find her yourself. Remember, only Anomalous women or those with high power levels are effective. And, congratulations. We have transferred important data: a contact list, addresses, and a new identity card suitable for the new Desmond,” the man in the suit said, offering a thin smile. It was the first smile Edi had ever seen from him.
“Now go. And don't come back until you've acquired your first DP. I don't appreciate our project turning into a rampaging lunatic within a 5-kilometer radius of here,” Aurora concluded, pointing toward the back door.
Edi nodded. The old Edi was gone. He was now Desmond. Edi was an energy-hungry predator. He looked down. The System reappeared as a small hologram that only he could see.
Edi rose from his position and looked around. The room looked devastated and messy due to the previous events. Had he really just fought a devil or a demon? Edi still couldn't wrap his head around it.
Moreover, now he was the only one in the room, standing in a pool of his own blood.
“Hahahaha,” Edi laughed like a madman. He had just been eaten alive by a strange creature, yet he was still alive?
Various questions raced through Edi's mind until he took a breath and sobered up. Whatever had happened, the important thing was that he was still alive, and the first thing he needed to do was get out of this cursed place as quickly as possible. He couldn't be sure there weren't more dangers waiting for him here.
Edi immediately grabbed his CV, which he had left on the table, and hastily shoved it into his bag. He pulled on a jacket and quickly put it on to hide his torn shirt. He needed to look normal.
However, as he was about to step out, Edi froze, staring at his reflection in a mirror standing in the corner of the room.
Edi’s eyes nearly popped out when he saw how drastically his physique had changed. His body was now taller and more muscular; his skin looked clean and pale, and he had significant musculature. Edi lifted his shirt and saw his stomach, which was now defined with a six-pack. He took off his glasses, yet he could still see clearly. His eyes, which were once blurry without the aid of lenses, were now sharp as a hawk's.
“What is this?” Edi mumbled, a mixture of amazement and fear.
Edi slapped his cheeks, then pinched his arm, just to make sure he wasn't dreaming. His eyes remained glued to his reflection in the mirror, observing his hair and face. He was no longer the nerdy Edi.
“Is this really me? What happened to me?” Edi asked.
Edi couldn't find anyone who could answer his questions, and he had to leave this place immediately. He quickly stepped out of the building. Suddenly, Edi heard a voice in his head, but he had no idea where it was coming from. Edi kept walking, ignoring the persistent sound.
Edi jogged slightly, but not so fast as to arouse suspicion. Even though one or two people gave him strange looks—perhaps because of his torn jacket—Edi didn't care. Once he felt he was far enough away from the building, he headed toward a bus stop and sat down, trying to catch his breath.
Once he felt a little calmer, Edi focused again. The voice returned.
“I am Sabrun. I will serve you and help you become strong and conquer all the women you desire.” The voice sounded cold, professional, and echoed directly in Edi’s mind.
Edi didn't answer, still waiting for the voice that called itself SABRUN to say something else.
“You will be called Desmond. You are now a demon of lust, an Incubus. You must have intercourse at least once every 48 hours. If you expend more demonic energy, then you must have intercourse more frequently to recharge.”
Edi’s eyes widened. He flinched, jumping up from the bus stop seat.
“I’m a demon? Intercourse? I must have heard that wrong,” Edi blurted out.
“Do not reject this! Didn’t Aurora already explain it? If you do not have intercourse for more than 48 hours, ‘Incubus Rage’ will activate. I will take over your body, and you will seduce any woman you encounter simply to survive.”
Edi’s mouth hung open, his eyes bulging even further. “Forget seducing or having intercourse, I don’t even have a girlfriend!” Edi scoffed, full of frustration.
“You should be grateful. If you hadn't been saved, you would be dead now,” Sabrun countered, a subtle threat laced in his voice. “The nerdy Edi is dead. Accept your new identity.”
Edi kept thinking about what else he needed to know about his new self and why he was like this.
“So, besides my body and my name, what else has changed about me?” Edi asked desperately. He took a breath, trying to calm his racing heart. This reality was too absurd. He was eaten by a dog demon, brought back to life, and now forced to become a demon whose sole purpose was sex?
“A lot,” Sabrun replied in a flat, organized tone, as if reading an inventory list. “Your new body is a vessel for the Power of the Incubus. This power requires a resource. We call it DP (Desire Points), and it is recharged through the act of intercourse with female anomalies. Currently, your DP is extremely low. Zero, to be exact.”
Edi swallowed. Zero.
“How do I activate this power? Will I always be this tall and muscular?” Edi asked, looking at his hands, which were no longer covered in the calluses typical of a poor student.
“Good, you’re starting to think efficiently,” Sabrun praised. “You can switch forms between ‘Edi’ (Low-Level Human) and ‘Desmond’ (Incubus Level 1) at will. But remember, every time you use the Desmond form or any demonic power, your DP is depleted.”
“And if my DP runs out?” Edi asked.

The Greatest National Hero (Again)
"Five objects from outer space? Did my Dad really send five meteor-sized congratulatory tart cake boxes along with fireworks?!" Dante's shout echoed through the living room of the Tartarus headquarters, which had just been relocated to the former central bank building. He slammed the giant cake box, still smoking from atmospheric entry, onto the marble floor. "Yes, Boss. Inside that box is a greeting card that reads, *'Congratulations on becoming the Hero of Earth, from your proud Dad,'*" Chloe answered, holding back laughter. She was sitting on the sofa, holding a high-level communication phone that kept ringing. "This is an insult! My Dad is intentionally mocking me from another dimension!" Dante paced back and forth, his face flushed red. "I am going to find a way to obliterate this tart." "Before you obliterate that cake, Boss, answer this phone first," Chloe said, offering the golden telephone receiver to Dante. "It's
America Freed from the Alien Conspiracy
Zero.Blinding blue light exploded from within the reactor machine. But instead of sweeping the entire room and destroying the city, the pillar of pure light was sucked straight into Dante's wide open mouth."Crazy! He actually swallowed the cosmic bomb!" shouted Chloe while taking cover behind Rex's back."My Lord, spit that thing out! Your stomach could explode!" screamed Lilith in panic."Yum, yum, yum," Dante patted his stomach, which now glowed bright blue from beneath his obsidian skin. "It tastes like swallowing millions of expired mint sodas!"Dante held back the energy with all his might. His muscles tensed until his veins bulged. His stomach churned violently. He could not hold it in anymore. Dante opened his mouth and burped incredibly loudly."HUUURGH!"The burp released a shockwave that shattered the remains of the concrete vault ceiling above them. Debris rained down, but Dante had managed to absorb the pri
The Dilemma of the World's Savior
"Damn it! If I destroy this, I become the world's hero?!" Dante screamed hysterically, realizing his fatal mistake in this fight. "I have to stop the explosion! I do not want to be a hero!"Dante immediately released his grip on the Alien Chairman's face. He turned around in a panic, running toward the giant reactor machine that was already cracking and emitting thick blue smoke."Chloe! Bring duct tape, super glue, or whatever! We have to patch this machine right now!" shouted Dante while pressing both his hands against the leaking reactor gap. The heat of the machine burned his skin, but he ignored it for the sake of his villainous reputation."Duct tape?! Are you crazy, Big Boss?!" Chloe replied from across the room, busy shooting at the creeping parasites approaching them. "That is a soul-sucking cosmic reactor! There is no duct tape that can hold back dimensional energy!""Then hack the machine! Get its cooling system running again!" Dante turned his head in despair. "I do not wa
The Soul Harvester Conspiracy
The bright blue light from the tip of the staff reflected in Dante's red eyes. The tall, massive figure walked casually past the puddles of green fluid. The pale parasites that had been ferocious earlier now bowed obediently, crawling out of the way like frightened dogs seeing their master."Who are you? A walking disco ball?" Dante asked in a mocking tone, hiding his vigilance. "Do not tell me you are the bank manager coming to explain why your vault is full of reptiles."The glowing figure stopped exactly ten steps in front of Dante. The blue light covering his face slowly dimmed."Chairman?!" Stella shouted from behind Dante. Her voice broke, filled with disbelief. The old man with thick glasses who had spoken through the hologram a few hours ago now stood before them. However, there was something wrong with the physique of the Hero Association Chairman. The veins in his neck glowed neon blue, and the skin of his face appeared transparent, reve
The Vault Without Gold
Dante clenched both his fists until his knuckles turned pale white. His intention to rob was utterly destroyed without a trace, replaced by horror and the bitter reality that the Hero Association was hiding an alien conspiracy far darker than any crime he had ever imagined."Where are my trillions of credits?!" Dante's scream boomed, echoing off the steel walls of the room. He kicked the floor until it cracked. "You said this was the national treasury! Why is it full of malnourished giant squids?!"Stella stepped forward, her body trembling. Her eyes never left the giant glass tube in front of her. The pale, faceless parasite inside the tube pulsed in rhythm with the electrical current flowing into the cables on the ceiling."I do not know, Dante," Stella whispered, her voice hoarse. "All this time, we heroes were told that our power came from a pure light reactor core. But this... these creatures are life-sucking parasites.""So the power of the

Get back!" screamed Stella, pulling Dante's arm back with a deathly pale face. "That is a Chimera Guardian! A genetically experimented monster combining savage anomalies and machinery. The Association hides it in the basement as a secret executioner for traitors!""Executioner? It looks more like a pile of rotten meat that failed to make it into the sausage factory," Dante mocked, not feeling intimidated in the slightest. "I do not have time to play with a guard dog. I want to rob trillions!"The giant, gorilla-bodied creature with steel pincers and a scorpion tail leaped out of the darkness. It roared loudly, spewing green poisonous steam at them."Let me handle this, Big Boss!"
