Leah sat through her office scanning through the Maroon family invitation for the chairwoman’s birthday party and their son's homecoming Since she received their miracle email to partner with her, She only knew about only one person and it was the Almighty Maroon Heir, She has never met him but he reached out to her through the mail and she has been working with his representative but she never met him in person, Receiving this invitation she wished to meet with the man that changed her life and made her who she was today.

“ What are you so excited about, I could see the excitement all over your face “ Ted walked in pouring himself a coffee.

“ Ted ! Look at this, it’s an invitation to the Maroon family event, It’s the chairwoman’s birthday and their eldest son’s homecoming” Leah squealed.

“Woah… Who did you say to reach out to you? Their son ?”

“ Ted … He called himself the Almighty Maroon Heir, He is based in Tokyo and he promised to meet in person and talk about business, He did me a huge Favour… He owns the biggest shares in the company I was chasing after and even though he didn’t partner me with the headquarters of the Maroon Empire, He helped me get some partnerships from the branches and even helped with my shares …Doesn’t this invitation mean he wants to see me ?” Leah embraced him in excitement.

“ And you say you do not know this person

In anyway? It’s strange for him to help you do all of those things “ Ted scoffed.

“ Teddy … My father submitted several applications years ago and I’m sure he saw it and in his kind heart he decided to help me “ She replied.

“ Wow … That’s good news, I didn’t get an invitation and it’s a person per invitation” Ted frowned.

“ You didn’t get an invitation?” Leah looked at him in shock, She had thought Ted was one of the influential persons in the country, and with the way he bragged she had expected an invitation to be given to him.

“ Yes … Flora got an invitation and I didn’t, Wow … Pathetic “ Ted gulped down his coffee in frustration.

Leah watched him and she sighed, She was only concerned with meeting the Almighty Heir.

Guests were gradually arriving and the event was kicking off., The lighting was amazing so were the decorations and atmosphere of the party. Cameras flashed on the guests as they arrived, The best outfits were already making it to the internet. Almost everyone in the country was interested in this event because the Maroon family had been under the guise that their eldest son was in another country to avoid media attention all these years, Today everyone was not only here to celebrate The chairwoman’s birthday but the Supposed return of their son from another country.

“ You look amazing …” Salvador stared at Flora as she made her entrance inside his room.

“ You do not look bad yourself, Are you ready for tonight?” Flora smiled, Salvador took a step closer to Flora and he leaned towards her.

“ You gave me the push for it, I am ready to drop the bomb tonight, Will they be able to sustain the heat “ Salvador stood still and he smiled, Flora laughed.

“ Leah has arrived, “ Roxy said from behind.

The trio looked at each other, There was a sense of joy that was wrapped around suspense, and Salvador couldn’t wait to see the shock on Leah’s face.

“ I will keep her engaged “ Flora headed outside to look for Leah, She had to stop several times to say hello to people and have short discussions, Her eyes met with Leah who stood at a corner, She quietly excused herself and headed to where she was

“ Shouldn’t you be building connections and contacts, Opportunities like these are meant to be grabbed “ Flora said from behind, Leah turned to see who it was immediately her eyes met with flora she rolled them.

“ You got an invitation and Ted didn’t … Pathetic!” Leah scoffed.

“ I’m not just the granddaughter of a billionaire, I also made a name for myself most of the women you see here are wearing my Clothing and even jewelry from my brand … You too “ Flora scoffed, Leah looked away.

“ Hmmmm… I wonder why a woman like you will want anything to do with a nobody like Jamie” Leah scoffed, She thought about it countless times wondering how Flora and Jamie became so close to even strike a deal proposal for him.

Salvador stood in front of a mirror and admired himself, He was dressed in a luxurious tuxedo, His hair was neatly shaved, and He had the perfect appearance for tonight’s occasion.

Leah was having her cocktail and enjoying the night when her phone beeped it was a text message from the Almighty Heir, She read it out loud in excitement unknown to her that Flora was behind.

Leah arrived at the waterfall but there were a lot of gentlemen around, She had no idea who he might be, but immediately her phone beeped and it was a text from him.

Leah was fixing her looks when she felt someone tap her, She took a deep breath before turning to see who it was but to her surprise it was Jamie. She sighed and immediately went off on him.

“ Whose tuxedo are you wearing? Who even let you in? Ohhh are you with your new friend…Flora, Run along now I am meeting someone special and I do not want you to ruin it for me “

“ Aren’t you here to see me ?” He smirked, and Leah frowned, She ran her hands through her hair in frustration she felt like smacking his face.

“ Jamie … Get out now “ Leah drew him closer with his collar, immediately two men rushed to where she was and removed her hands from his collar.

“ Hey … Kick this man out, Jamie … Leave quietly and do not make a scene” She whispered to him in annoyance.

“ That’s Salvador to you …” He smirked and Leah turned to Flora who was watching from a corner.

am here to see The Almighty Heir and he is messing it up for me “Leah pleaded with Flora and she giggled.

“ Are you high? “Leah asked and before she could say anything someone took over the mic, Drawing everyone’s attention because the dramatic classical music stopped.

Salvador’s father climbed the stage, Everyone was eager to hear what he had to say because everyone came. After all, it was aired that the heir of his company was back to the family and a homecoming ceremony would be merged with the chairwoman’s birthday. The camera was set and the reporters with their tabs to write the story and main headlines, The press was all active too, it was going to be a big story that would be on the internet for a long time but The chairman had his own plans.

“ I am pleased to have you all here for my wife’s birthday, As you know we have been married for years and today is a new beginning for her so cheers to more good years in good health” He raised his glass and made a move to climb down from the stage when one of the reporters asked.

“ What about your eldest son ? It was released on your social media platform like that he will be introduced to the public after his dismissal years ago”

“ Yes we did say that but based on private reasons we will be keeping that a secret for now , We will be announcing him to the public during the company’s anniversary,He will also be voted as the chairman on that event “ He explained

“ Does that mean your second son will have to step down for him as the heir in line “

One of the reporter asked everyone went silent.

“ What can I say ? He is the eldest son afterwards… I urge you guys to enjoy the party and the rest of the night …”

Mr maroon stepped down and every other question was left unanswered.

Flora dragged Salvador from where he was standing with Leah , She had no idea what was going on but Salvador needed explanation to do .

“ What was that about your identity being hidden ?” Flora asked , she had no idea Salvador didn’t want to be announce tonight, They had planned so much for this night and she had even imagined Leah’s face and now this .

“ I changed my mind , Why let her know who I am now ? We still have three months to play with her , I will take every insults from her , I’m withdrawing my influence on her business… She will be so eager to search for this Almighty Heir and she won’t even guess that I am the one because she sees me as her useless ex husband “ Salvador smirked but flora didn’t seem to understand why he was doing all of these .

“ So you want to pull this stunt for three months ? Take all the insults from her when you can just shut her up with your power “

She said pushing Salvador from her path , she made her way to speak to the guest .

“ Are you sure you want to keep your identity from her ?”
