Over a million soldiers are in their neatly pressed uniforms, holding their guns and standing as still as statues.

They have been standing here, under the scorching sun for seven hours, but none of them dare move or ask for water.

They are doing this out of their freewill, and they consider it to be the highest honour of their lives.

They are here to welcome the dragon general, Roman Croft, after he has come back from the great war that he fought.

The seven nations powerful army of over ten million dangerously trained men were supposed to attack the country because the dragon general was out of the country for more than a year straight.

They were getting ready to go to war with tears in their eyes, because they knew that most of them were going to die in this meaningless war.

Where was the dragon general?! The rest of the generals couldn't contact him, and the whole country went into chaos.

A dark cloud fell on the entire country, because they were surely going to bury millions of soldiers after the war with the seven nations, but a miracle befell them.

The dragon general appeared out of the blues yet again, and he saved the entire country!

They didn't even need to go to war, because as soon as the generals of the seven nations heard what happened, they immediately pissed on themselves and came begging the dragon general to take them as slaves, but spare their lives.

That's why they are standing here with excitement and gratitude. Once again, the most powerful man in the country has saved their lives.

“All hail the dragon general!!” A string voice booms loudly through the hundreds of speakers that has been placed around strategically.

They immediately salute in unison as the powerful dragon general walks down in all his glory.

His uniform is covered with medals that he won from many wars. With all his achievements, the dragon general is just a young handsome man who can easily pass for a hot model.

The generals, the men who were scared to death in their pants if he hadn't come back to the country to save them.

“Thank you, dragon general, for saving our country once again!” They bow to him over and over again at the entrance of the private jet.

“Please, deal with the generals of the seven nations very harshly! How dare they threaten our great country and cause you so much inconvenience?!”

One of them is biting his lower lip in fear. “Dragon General, sir, what are we going to do if we get threatened again? The last time we weren't able to contact you left us very traumatized.”

Dragon General Roman laughs as he takes off his glasses. “Don't worry, Generals, I have taken care of them. Now, I have to fly out of the country to help some foreigners that needs my help.”

The Generals, even though they are old enough to give birth to General Roman, they go on their knees to thank him.

“Go well, General. May we have even a little bit of your bravery to lead the army in your absence.”

Roman gets into the plane and sits down and buckles himself up.

One of the soldiers bows to him before giving him a file.

“These are the names of all the soldiers that are going to be training in the northern continent, sir. There are over five hundred thousand of them, and they are anxiously waiting for you.”

Roman crosses his legs as he enters.

Roman's assistant, Captain Carmen, enters the plane, gasping slightly to catch his breath. Has he been running?

“Sir, Dragon general, I have something important for you.” He holds a sealed envelope in his hand.

“Not now, Carmen.” Roman murmurs, he doesn't even look up.

“Sir, this is very important, I don't think that it can wait.” Carmen insists.

Roman takes the envelope and tears it open. He thought maybe it's a letter from the president, requesting for help to annihilate another of his enemies, but it's not.

It's something that throws Roman completely off balance, and he is forced to sit up and drop everything else to read.

It's a pink paper, clearly written by a young child.

“Hello, daddy, how are you doing? Mummy told me that you are fighting in the army to keep the country safe. I am praying for you everyday, and I will keep writing to you. Mummy and I are not all okay, Mummy can't walk, but she works so hard to make sure that granddad doesn't get angry and slaps her. Please, be safe, Daddy. Athena Croft.”

Roman holds the paper close to his face as he reads that name over and over again.

Athena Croft?

Isn't that the same name him and his dear wife swore to give their first daughter?

Seven years ago, just before he left for the army, he got married to a woman he met and fell in love with for the first time.

He had to leave the next day, after their marriage, but he promised to take care of his wife until he returned.

Unfortunately for him, it stretched into seven years, but he had been sending money back home to his dare wife.

He’s also preparing a big surprise for her when he gets back home, which would be in the next six months.

But from what he has just read in the letter, he knows that he needs to go back to help his wife, and the daughter he never knew he had.

He holds the letter in a tight grip and turns to Carmen. “When did you get this letter?!”

“It was delivered a few hours ago, sir. I thought it was very important, that's why I brought it straight to you.”

Roman angrily grabs Carmen by his shirt, and pinning him against the wall. Everyone gasps and moves away in fright.

“What is this nonsense that I am reading?! I have a daughter?! I thought my wife has been getting monthly allowance sent to to her?! How did you miss this?!”

Carmen teeth are jittering in his mouth. “Sir, the money was never claimed from her account and I didn't want to tell you because maybe she had moved on to another man. Hearing that your beloved wife got a divorce might distract you from your very important work, sir.”

“Then how is it that a child bearing my last name has sent me a letter?!”

“I– I don't know, sir.” Carmen shakes.

Roman legs go of him and holds his head as he sits back into his seat. His eyes are shut.

“Turn the plane around. We are heading to New York!”

Carmen eyes widens. “But sir, the five hundred thousand soldiers are waiting for you in the continent of–”

“My daughter and my wife needs me! Turn the plane around immediately!”

Mr Beerson's eyes almost pop out of the sockets with shock. “Did you just ask my beautiful wife and I to stay in your servants’ quarters?!” He barks with rage. “Never have I been more insulted in the many years that I have walked the earth!” Mrs Beerson bemoans. She turns to her daughter, who is too shocked to retract her husband's order. “Is this how you are going to treat your own parents, Stephanie?! After all the sacrifices we've made for you?!” Stephanie opens her mouth to speak, but Roman beats her to it again. “What sacrifices, pray tell?” He asks, tilting his head to the side. “You mistreated her and my daughter for seven years and you were the reason that she was a cripple! Now that she has a mansion, you arrogantly demand to live with her?!” “If you never wanted to accommodate us, then you should have said so from the very beginning!” Mr Beerson shouts. “My wife and I will be just fine on our own!” “Yes, Stephanie! When the Dragon General finally kicks you and your p

Roman finds himself sighing over and over again. He is in his brand-new office, going through all the compilation of research that Carmen sent to him. Carmen didn't lie, the Beerson family is in trouble. They sold all their lands and other houses, and he destroyed their last mansion. Roman is tempted to laugh, this would surely teach them a lesson, but he knows that Stephanie is too good for this world. There is no way that she would be able to sleep knowing that her parents are being left under the scorching sun, and the cold winds of the night. See, John Kent has moved himself, Finna, and Pumpkin into a five star hotel, but he has refused to take the Beerson parents with him… Finna shamelessly turned her parents down at the entrance of the five stars hotel, and they were left with their bags under the gaze of passerbys. If not for Stephanie's timely calling, they would have been forced to go to the homeless shelter….A soft knock on the door makes Roman look up. It's Stephanie

Stephanie wakes up very late the next morning, and she had such a satisfied sleep that her eyes are still shut. She stretches like a cat, before yawning and walking to the bathroom. She sits on the toilet bowl as she passes out urine, and only when she feels her toes against the feathery fur of the carpet does she remember that she hasn't felt it in seven years. The sleep disappeared from her eye and she immediately touched her thighs, down to her toes. She can feel every touch, and it's as real as her heart beating in her chest. “Ahhh!” She jumps up, fearing that she is in some kind of fucked up dream. She goes over to the tap and splashes water over her face. She slaps herself till her cheeks stings with pain, but each time she looks down, her legs are still working! She runs out of the bedroom and room, and downstairs, she finds Roman talking to some of the servants. “Roman!! Roman, I can walk!” She doesn't wait for him to see, she jumps into his hands and wriggles her t

Stephanie throws her head back and laughs so loudly that everyone is stunned by this. “Regain my ability to walk? Oh, Doctor, don't flatter me!” she holds her hand over her nose, trying to stop herself from laughing. Roman immediately goes down on one knee in front of her, gently cradling her face in his hands. “This is not a joke, my love. I worked in the army for years, and I have seen many hopeless situations given hope to by people like Doctor Jenkins. He is the best doctor in the world, so let's have a little faith.” Doctor Jenkins clears his throat. “Mrs Croft, not to toot my own horn, but the General is right. From my little examination of your feet, this is not even a critical case.” “Please, Doctor, enough!” Stephanie raises her voice. “You are not giving me hope, what you are giving me is false belief! Look at my daughter, she has never seen me walk since she was born. How do you think she is going to feel if this treatment fails?” “Stephanie, this is not false hope.

As soon as they are in the sky again, Stephanie holds on to her dear husband's hand and begs him. “Please, Roman, please, don't do this.” She begs with all her heart. “That house is where I grew up and honestly, Finna and her family showed us kindness sometimes. Right, Athena?” Athena nods. “She gave us a cake that made us sick and we had to use the toilet for three days!” Stephanie laughs nervously. “Well, the cake was laced with laxatives, but that was a joke. Finna jokes like that sometimes.” Roman growls under his breath. Carmen is actively communicating with the rest of the soldiers, and at this moment, he turns to his boss. “Sir, the Beerson mansion has just been destroyed now. The Kent Mansion is going down in the next twenty minutes!” “Wait!” Stephanie grabs his hand. “You can't do this, Roman. Stop it.” “After everything that your family did, trust me this is me showing them mercy. I should throw them in jail too!” She grabs his face and kisses his lips to calm him

.“I'm sorry, Roman, I tried to stop it, but they beat both of us and starved me. I tried to protect our daughter, I swear to you.” Roman is not even going to blame her. She is crippled, how can any of this be her fault? Instead, he picks her up in his arms and takes her to the helicopter that landed outside the house. Stephanie has never been in a helicopter before, and she is so startled by the entire experience. Captain Carmen also comes into the helicopter and he jumps into the pilot seat. “Where are we heading to, sir?” He asks Roman. “Take me to that place where my daughter has been turned into a maid!” He orders. In a few minutes time, commotion has set in the Kent compound as the helicopter is dangerously close to the roof. Roman steps out of the helicopter before it can even reach the ground and his eyes scans around for his daughter. She is not hard to recognize, she looks like an angel and not even the maltreatment from her maternal family has been able to break he
