As soon as they are in the sky again, Stephanie holds on to her dear husband's hand and begs him.

“Please, Roman, please, don't do this.” She begs with all her heart. “That house is where I grew up and honestly, Finna and her family showed us kindness sometimes. Right, Athena?”

Athena nods. “She gave us a cake that made us sick and we had to use the toilet for three days!”

Stephanie laughs nervously. “Well, the cake was laced with laxatives, but that was a joke. Finna jokes like that sometimes.”

Roman growls under his breath.

Carmen is actively communicating with the rest of the soldiers, and at this moment, he turns to his boss.

“Sir, the Beerson mansion has just been destroyed now. The Kent Mansion is going down in the next twenty minutes!”

“Wait!” Stephanie grabs his hand. “You can't do this, Roman. Stop it.”

“After everything that your family did, trust me this is me showing them mercy. I should throw them in jail too!”

She grabs his face and kisses his lips to calm him down. He has been her husband for seven years, and even though they have been apart for most of the time, she knows him very well.

“Do you love me?” She asks him in a very soothing voice.

“Of course I do, Stefanie. With all of my heart.” He replies.

“Then stop this immediately.” She says. “I know they did awful things and what not, but I don't want them to be without homes. Having slept in a doghouse for seven years, I know what it means to be homeless.”

Roman feels his throat tighten because he hasn't dealt with them to his heart's fullest, but his wife has asked him to stop, and he must.

One nod to Carmen, and the order gets to the right ears. “The boss has ordered for it to stop immediately!”

The call ends.

Stephanie shut her eyes in relief.

The truth is that she isn't only looking out for her family alone, she is also very terrified.

She doesn't believe that her poor husband, the man who had to sell his boots in a pawn shop to get her an old silver ring, she doesn't believe that he is so rich overnight.

She believes that he got some of his friends to act like he is their superintendent, and then he splashed all of his money on this helicopter so that he can make her family feel sorry for what they did to them.

The truth of the matter is that she is content with having him back, and having her daughter and her out of the doghouse.

Maybe they can get a small apartment and maybe a used wheelchair for her too. They are going to be a happy little family, and she loves it.

She is just scared because he pulled down those mansions and if he gets in trouble with the military for that.

She will have to find a way to call her parents and Finna to beg them to forgive Roman…

“Honey, look!”

“Mummy, look!”

She has been lost in her thoughts, but only when Athena and Roman touch her does she come back to consciousness.

Athena is jumping up and down as she points to a mansion that is bigger than both the Beerson and the Kent mansions.

Stephanie's jaw drops to the ground. Who owns this huge house?

“Are we stopping to say hello to your boss?” She turns to Roman. “Was he the one that gave you this helicopter to come and rescue us?”

Roman is so dumbfounded that he finds himself laughing. It's Carmen that answers for him.

“No, Miss, the Boss is the highest entity in the army, he doesn't have a boss. This is your house, he has spent five years building the perfect house for his family.”

“Our house?!” Athena press her face against the glass. “You mean I am going to finally get my own room?!”

Athena squeaks with joy! She never never had the luxury of having a room to herself since she has always shared the doghouse with her lame mother.

They even have a helipad on top of the roof! How much money does Roman Croft have?

“Home sweet home.” Roman chuckles. He picks her up in his hands and they stroll through the front door.

Their house looks like something out of the dream of a very rich man. There are over five different luxurious cars in the parking lot, and once they step into the house, Athena can't go further.

She stops to take off her shoes, because she doesn't believe that her tattered shoes deserve to touch these beautiful carpets.

Roman is very quick to stop her. “What are you doing, Athena?”

“I can't step on the carpet,” Athena says. “Aunt Finna always makes me take off my shoes before entering the house…”

“Well, this is not your Aunt Finna's house, this is yours. Don't mind staining the ground with dirt because there are servants to clean them up.”

Stephanie eyebrows lifts. “Are you sure, Roman? We really hate to be a bother here.”

“Don't worry, my family. You will never be a bother.”

A man in his late fifties steps out of the corner with a briefcase in his hands. He walks into the living room, just as Roman is dropping Stephanie gently in a chair.

“Doctor Professor!” Roman beams. “You have come at the right time!”

Stephanie's eyes blinks with unclarity.

“Oh, my dear, this is Doctor Professor Jenkins. He is the most brilliant Doctor in the world, and even though he is a very busy person, he has been able to make time to see us tonight.”

“Good day, sir.” The Doctor bows. “Mrs Croft, nice to meet you.”

This explanation still hasn't made things clear for Stephanie. A Doctor for what?

Doctor Jenkins is such an excellent doctor that he can read her expression just from her face.

“Well, Mrs Croft, I am a trained neurosurgeon, and I have been hired by your husband to help give you back your ability to walk.”

“Where is the Dragon General?” His name is being tarnished, and all his faithful followers are now joining the Professor to call for his head. Stephanie has been watching the news a lot of late, and she is not liking the reports at all. “Why isn't he coming out to defend himself?” She murmurs. Roman is on the bed with a cup of coffee in his hand. “You want him to?” She turns back to look at her husband. “Any sane person would. This is getting out of hand.” Roman doesn't say anything, but keeps on drinking his coffee, and this makes her even more anxious. She goes to sit with him on the bed and place a gentle hand on his knee. “Can't you speak to him, Roman? We are living in his house, I'm sure you will find a way to contact him.” Roman sighs as she stirs his cup. “He has kind of gone MIA, Stephanie. I mean, he has been named a wanted person.” “By the Professor himself?”Roman nods. He knows that she wants to help, but he has to convince her that there is nothing he can do ab

He left as soon as he got the chance.” “Oh, thank God,” Stephanie heaves. “I was worried, because you know, the Professor...” Oksana looks at her finger, gently tapping against the flat surface of the kitchen Island. “I've been meaning to ask you, Stephanie. What exactly does your husband do?” Stephanie immediately bites her lips as she tilts her head to the side in concentration. “To be honest, Oksana, I'm not sure I know. He works cl

The man is shaking so hard that Roman thinks that he is going to get a heart attack. Roman has saved General Smith's life many times, and never would he have imagined that the great Dragon General is just a young boy in his thirties. He carried the knowledge and expertise of an old wise man, this is too much for one person to take in! Roman helps the shaking man to his feet with a smile. “Please, my colleague, I will need you to not allow your heart to turn weak. Your wife still needs you, remember?” General Smith's lips are still parted and at this point, a few drops of tears leaves his eyes. “Sir, I warned them! I tried to make them see the senselessness in their ways, but they refused! How can they so mindlessly turn against you?” Roman placed his hands firmly on his shoulders. “It's life, Smith, but I am so glad that I have people like you. People that I can lean on, no matter what.” Smith wipes the tears from his eyes. “I'm sorry that you had to leave your young family an

The Professor looks so happy with himself as the high ranking officials run their hands over the money and feel them. He allows the feeling to marinate well in their minds, and then Linc comes back and takes it from them. Their faces fall with dismay, but the Professor just chuckles. “Do not worry, gentlemen. Your gifts will be waiting for you when we finish. I just need you to concentrate on business.” And concentrate they do. The place is as silent as a graveyard and their eyes are blinking at the Professor. “Many of you may not know this, but this is not the first time that the dragon general is rejecting a meeting with me. For some reason, he hates me…” The men mutters with confusion. “But, Professor, this is hard to believe. Both of you work for the same cause, so I believe that you both would make the greatest of friends.” “Well, maybe you are very wrong, because I strongly believe that the dragon general has deceived you all. He has refused to meet with me because he kn

How is it that the dragon general has a meeting set with the Professor, and nothing has gone through Roman yet. This can only mean one thing. More of the generals and commanders in the army have started to take decisions without consulting him. The rot has started to infiltrate the one section of this country that Roman built with his sweat and blood. He leaves the Professor’s residence, dreading how much that Stephanie and Athena have to pay for his mission by enduring his absence. His phone rings, and he is suddenly made to pull to the side of the road. It's Carmen. He has been calling an awful lot nowadays. “Good afternoon, General. I had to call you immediately because news reaching me now is that a meeting has been set between the dragon general, other generals, and the Professor. I'm surprised, because you never approved everything.” Roman lips twist with disdain. “Carmen, I am also absolutely disappointed that something like this will be approved. Anthony Petrov is mak

The Professor is having a crash out and Roman has never expected that a man who has half of the world fooled would ever act this way. Things are crashing in his study, and Linc and Roman are sitting in the living room, without doing anything. “This is your fault.” Linc says. “Of course Linc, it's my fault that Anthony Petrov decided to kill a journalist.” Roman replies with sarcasm. The media has been in a frenzy, and many speculations are flying around. The people who have always been super skeptical about the Professor have concluded that he has killed the journalist lady, and his followers have come out in their numbers to defend him. It caused a very chaotic exchange in one of the busiest streets in the city, and about ten people have been injured. The police have been deployed to return sanity back to the city, but some businesses and schools have temporarily shut down, so as not to be caught in the crossfire. The Professor has refused to leave his accommodations, and tu
