“I'm sorry, Roman, I tried to stop it, but they beat both of us and starved me. I tried to protect our daughter, I swear to you.”

Roman is not even going to blame her. She is crippled, how can any of this be her fault?

Instead, he picks her up in his arms and takes her to the helicopter that landed outside the house.

Stephanie has never been in a helicopter before, and she is so startled by the entire experience.

Captain Carmen also comes into the helicopter and he jumps into the pilot seat.

“Where are we heading to, sir?” He asks Roman.

“Take me to that place where my daughter has been turned into a maid!” He orders.

In a few minutes time, commotion has set in the Kent compound as the helicopter is dangerously close to the roof.

Roman steps out of the helicopter before it can even reach the ground and his eyes scans around for his daughter.

She is not hard to recognize, she looks like an angel and not even the maltreatment from her maternal family has been able to break her spirit.

Her lips part very slowly. “D– Daddy?” She whispers.

Roman feels something in his heart break as he spreads his hands to receive her as she jumps in.

She is all bones and clothes, but she is laughing heartily and crying at the same time.

“You got my letter! I can't believe this! You have finally come back for me and my mum! I have a Daddy!”

“It's alright, my princess, no one is going to hurt you again. Daddy is going to protect you and mummy from now on.” Roman assures her.

He turns around and his angry eyes want to fish out the wicked Aunt Finna and Cousin Pumpkin that maltreated his daughter.

“Where is the person who turned my daughter into a maid?! Show your face!” He orders in a loud voice.

Finna doesn't know what's going on. What's this man in a high ranking army uniform doing in her house, and why is he calling Athena his daughter?

Before she can process everything and decide on how to react, Pumpkin has pushed her way to the front and fearlessly yells in front of the Dragon General.

“Yes, she is my Maid, and what's the big deal about it!” She folds her fingers, as if she will punch him. “My mummy and Daddy made her my maid because I asked, so who are you to challenge that?!”

Roman can tell that this is his daughter's cousin, because they bear a little resemblance, but what a spoiled brat!

Roman points his finger at her. He is only holding himself back because this is just a little girl.

“You are the one who made my daughter a maid? You little piglet!”

Pumpkin gasps as she clasps her finger over her mouth. It's true that she is on the heavier side, but everyone knows how sensitive she is to her weight!

Her mother is forced to step in at this moment. She doesn't care if this man came in a military helicopter, she won't allow her daughter to be shamed!

“Hey, Mister soldier, how dare you speak to my kid like that?! Do you know who my husband is?! What's the name of your commander, I need to speak to him immediately!” Finna shouts.

At this point, Pumpkin angrily goes and tries to pull Athena from Roman's hands.

“And as for you, you will be punished very severely for this! You will scrub all the toilets in this house for this nonsense!”

She is pulling on Athena's hand, but Athena's Dad won't let his child go.

Pumpkin cannot believe that this man keeps defying her. “Take your hands off my maid immediately! My father has friends in the army, I am going to tell them to shoot you!”

Pumpkin finally slips and falls on the ground, Roman picks up his daughter and heads back to the helicopter.

“This family and the other messed with my wife and daughter? They are not going to go scout free!” He turns to Captain Carmen, who is waiting for an order. “Carmen!”

“Yes, sir!”

“Bring in the bulldozers to demolish this house and the Beerson mansion too! That will teach them not to ever mess with the Croft family ever again!”

Carmen blinks and sighs with surprise. “Sir, you don't understand, the Beerson family is going through a financial crisis at the moment. If you destroy the house, they will have nowhere to stay.”

Roman huffs. “Then, that will teach them not to mess with my family anymore. When I am done with them, they won't even have a doghouse to call their home.”

Athena looks stricken with fear, because did her father say that he is going to bring down the Kent house?

Does he know that Uncle John Kent is very rich and he can make her father go away if he does something like that?

She immediately holds her hands around his neck and shut her eyes to keep the horrible thoughts away.

“Daddy, please, don't do that.” She begs. “Uncle John is going to be very mad at you! I don't want him to take you away!”

Roman heart crushes became he didn't mean to frighten his daughter.

“Come on, I will take you to meet your mother. You don't need to fear because no one can take me away.”

He puts her in the helicopter and as soon as Stephanie sees her daughter, she immediately bursts into fresh tears.

“Oh Athena, look! Your Daddy finally came back for us!”

“Sir, we are ready to take off.” Captain Carmen says.

“Good.” Roman says. “Let's get out of here!”

The helicopter takes off and the rest of the soldiers march out to the vehicles that are waiting for them.

The powerful gush of wind sends Pumpkin flying into the bushes, and her mother has to quickly retrieve her.

“Oh, mum! That soldier is a very rude man! Daddy must deal with him immediately!”

“Don't worry, my darling, his face is still in my head! Your father is not going to allow this slide.”

Her phone suddenly rings in her hand, and Finna immediately picks it up, because it's her mother.

She didn't expect for the loud scream from her mother to almost burst her eardrums.

“Finna, where is your husband!!” Her mother screams. “A crazy military man has ordered for our house to be demolished and I thought it was a prank, but our house has been reduced to dust!”

Finna almost had a heart attack on that very spot. She thought that the man was bluffing, but her parents don't have a home now?!

Pumpkin pulls at her sleeve, she wants to know why her mother looks like she has seen a ghost.

“Mum, what the hell are you talking about? Why did you stand there and allow those people to destroy your house?!”

“Stop blaming me for trivial things, Finna! Pick up the phone and tell your husband that the Beerson family is under attack by a mysterious military man!”

Finna immediately feels her throat go dry. The gate opens and there are bulldozers being driven by soldiers into her house.

“No!” She screams with terror. “Get out of my house, do you even know who my husband is?! You will be dismissed for this grievous act!”

The soldiers don't even give her a care in the world. They keep driving, going to the left of the house and start to tear down the place like it's made of paper.

By mere coincidence, Pumpkin's room is the first to be demolished.

“No, my Cinderella themed bedroom!” Pumpkin falls over the ground, kicking and crying.

Finna can't believe what she is beholding. Her legs suddenly go weak, and she falls to the ground– she has fainted.

The servants cannot do anything about this, because one of them tried to confront the soldiers but he was slapped so hard in the face that his face is now red and swollen.

They rush to their madam though, trying to help her daughter revive her. The house is rapidly coming down, and their boss is out of the country.

The house would have kept going down and down, but that's when one of the soldiers got a call.

“Stop immediately!” Roman's voice says. “My wife has decided to forgive her sister, even though she doesn't deserve it.”

“Yes, General.”

“You all are free to leave.”

Their eyes doesn't even move an inch away as John speaks to the pitiable duo, and then hands a card to them. After that, he adjusts the cuffs of his jacket and starts to walk back to them. "Who are those people?" Mrs Beerson wastes no time to ask. "They don't look like they belong here. Don't tell me that you invited them for your Uncle's burial." "I may be wrong, but I could swear that I heard the lady sobbing through out the service. Who is she?" Mr Beerson asks. John won't even look them in the face. "No one, they were just lost. Wanted to go to the funeral home at the other side of town." Finna doesn't believe a single thing that John has said.
