Kane walked into the hall and saw all sorts of people. The wealthy men of Karndor were eager to prove they had something to show for it.

His eyes moved around, as if he were looking at the showglass where his family's property was on display, and at how they held it up.

It was heart-crushing to see his father's prized polearm, his mother's wyrm tiara, and the one that broke every nerve he had: his brother's bracelet.

"Did you hear?"

Two women were behind Kane, and their eyes fixed on the showglass.

"Keith Vincent said he is going to be selling the polearm to Daran Becker and Hasashi Becker; they are here to take it."

"The Beckers? They are pretty powerful, the only two cultivators who went into business."

"Eh, I heard that they managed to break through to the Gold rank; that is basically superhuman already, and if they trained a bit harder, they might hit apprentice level. Giving them a good chance even to parry an elder."

Kane heard all he needed to; they were planning on selling his father's weapon to two people he knew very well were the absolute worst.

He moved closer to the glass; he placed his hand on it.

Everyone at the venue turned to look at him; they were shocked that anyone would even think to touch the glass.

"Who is that man?"

"Is he insane? Does he want Keith to kill him?!"

Suddenly, a security guard walked up to him, not wasting any time.

"Sir, step away from the glass and follow me."

Kane didn't reply, and he didn't remove his hand from the glass.

"Sir, I am giving you a chance not to get brutally hurt. Take your hands off the glass and follow me."

Everyone watched as the guard tried to reason with Kane, but he didn't respond, and something about him didn't sit well.

"Is he insane? Doesn't he know that the artifacts inside that case are worth around $8 billion in total?"

"Who let a nut job into this party? He isn't even trying to cooperate."

"He certainly has a death wish, touching the glass and ignoring a guard. Doesn't he know where he stands?"

The guard had taken enough insult from Kane for one, being ignored.

He tried to grab him, knowing it was the last thing he could do.

"Sir, you will be coming with me."

But the moment his hands touched Kane's shoulder, the man didn't even know what flung him across the room.

Everyone was in shock; the guard was thrown to the room's entrance.

No one saw what happened; they only knew he was trying to pull Kane away from the glass.

The next minute, he was flung away.

"Did you see anything?"

"No, it was clear that he was trying to pull that man away..."

Suddenly, the air at the hall's entrance changed.

Daran Becker stood there, his eyes darting around.

He was a huge man who stood at over 6 '7 " tall, with a strange scar on his face.

He spotted Kane; the valet had described the man who refused to move his car as having silver-white hair.

A smile slowly spread across his face when he saw him.

"It all makes sense now; only a cultivator would have the balls to ignore my orders."

Daran's voice made everyone turn; some hid their faces in fear, while others watched in admiration, eager to see what he would do to this man.

"So he had messed with Daran Becker?!!"

"Man, this man has a death wish. Even Keith respects the Beckers, even though he has a higher rank than them."

The guests at the party were trying to believe Kane could survive this encounter and that nothing was wrong with him.

Daran saw Kane trying to ignore him, knowing nothing could shake him.

Daran felt insulted as he stared at the man.

"Oi, bastard." Suddenly, he flared his energy, making sure everyone felt it. As the ground shook with the mere release of his energy, Kane felt it.

But all he could do was sigh.

"I am speaking to you, and when I do that, I expect you to look at me!"

Kane slowly pulled his hand from the glass and turned to Daran.

Daran still felt insulted, knowing this man had no remorse.

"You dare look me in the eye? Your head should be down, on the floor. You have insulted me not once but twice." Daran spat.

Kane raised his brow, staring at the man; he wondered what he meant.

"How did I do that? I am just meeting you?"

Daran tilted his head, looking down at the man in front of him; he saw no fear.

"Your car is blocking mine, and I am the only one allowed to have that space; you aren't even allowed to be close to it. So how dare you take what isn't yours? Are you stupid or something?!"

Kane remembered the valet, then he realized it.

"I see," he said, stroking his chin and looking at the man still waiting for him to say more.

"So you are the stuck-up imbecile that sent the valet to come talk to me. Well, it was a good thing I saw that the man was only a valet; if not, he would have perished."

The crowd of guests gasped when they heard what Kane had to say, and almost immediately.

Four hefty guards who followed Daran were ready to take Kane; six security guards stood by, ready to take him out.

Daran lifted his hand, stopping them in their tracks.

He was looking at the man who stood right in front of him; there wasn't anything for him to do but take his life.

"I am giving you a golden ticket to live now." Daran pointed at Kane, staring him in the eye.

"Get on your knees and lick my boots, or I will break you so much that death would seem like a gift to you."

Daran offered Kane the only way to live: bow down and lick his boots.

Everyone around nodded; they all agreed.

But Kane wasn't even looking down at his boots; he was trying to get a clear look at the man trying to make him lick them.

Without saying much, he hissed, turning back to the glass.

Daran felt insulted, a vein bulging on his head as he fought to control the anger rising from his soul.

“You bastard!!”

Daran took a stance, pulling his hand back as he prepared to punch.

“TUSK HOWL!”

Daran roared as he threw the punch at Kane; the silver-white-haired man turned. Stopping the blow with one hand, causing a little breeze.

Guests were shocked when they saw what Kane had done; it was something they'd only heard of in myth.

“Impossible!”

“No one should be able to stop a Gold-ranked cultivator’s punch, not unless…”

“You, you’re a cultivator?” Daran asked, looking at Kane, who held his hand.

Kane didn't reply; he pulled the man closer and, without hesitation, snapped his arm.

The crack was so loud, everyone heard it.

Daran was on the floor, crying in pain, as Kane stood over him.

“I wonder if you are low enough to lick my boots?” Kane placed his foot over Daran’s face.

Everyone at the event was confused; were they actually watching someone put their hands on a Becker without worrying about the consequences?

“Is he stupid? Only breaking his arm spelled his death.”

“He wants everything to be erased…”

Kane had his foot on Daran’s face, pressing down harder.

“What is wrong? Can't you see the sole of my shoe? Doesn't it look dirty? Why aren't you licking it?!”

Kane added more force to his foot, and blood gushed out of Daran’s head as he muttered for help.

“Are you suddenly stupid and dumb? You were full of life a few minutes back, so I want to know why you aren't speaking?”

“ENOUGH!”

A voice echoed from the stairs; everyone there turned, joy and worry on their faces.

Kane’s eyes dimmed.

‘Finally, you decided to show yourself.’

He turned to see a man standing with an old man who had a long cyan robe.

It was Keith Vincents and Russo.

Keith stared at Kane, trying to get a clear image of the man.

“Take your filthy foot off him, and maybe your death will be handled with decency.”

Keith threatened, glaring at the inferior man looking up at him.

Kane looked down at Daran, who was struggling to free himself, then he lifted his eyes back to Keith and Russo.

“So if I don't let him go, will you kill me?” Kane stared at the men glaring at him.

“Dont take our patience with you as weakness, you foolish man; take your foot off his head this instance!”

Russo roared; he looked like an old man, but his build showed years of discipline.

“Now take your foot off his head!”

Russo ordered, trying to make sure Kane would obey.

Kane didn't utter another word. Looking at the man, he pressed down harder.

Daran started shaking frantically, trying to escape, but he was trapped.

“Please dont kill me, dont kill me dont kill–”

Kane’s foot crushed Daran’s head, right there and then, dyeing the floor dark red.

~Devaran Springs Resort~ Four people were seen by the resort pool, enjoying themselves. Bradson Vincent, Phoebe Vincent, Timothy Vincent, and Elder Lucas were seen sitting there, celebrating with so much joy in their hearts. “I can't believe it's been twelve years already; I can still remember it like it was yesterday when it was announced that assassins killed them off.” Bradson laughed; he couldn't control himself as he fell to the floor, trying to get his head around it all. “Yeah, and the call came that something bad had happened to Lord Edgar; I was told to rush to his house. They didn't know I was one of the men who drove the blade into his chest.” Timothy laughed; he sounded ecstatic. “The man looked me in the eye; he was so disappointed in both of us. There wasn't a chance he would have believed that there was something that would convince us to change.” Their laughter filled the air. Phoebe sat with her legs crossed, looking down at the pool. “Poor Sasha, I know she

Russo tried to pull his arm from Kane’s grip, but the harder he pulled, the tighter Kane held on. “You said that I was an ant, and crushing me would mean something.” Kane spoke, looking him in the eye and making sure he couldn't get away. Russo stared at him, fear filling his mind with different images as Kane lifted his hand and kept staring. “Now, mighty warrior, let an ant show you that it can sting!” Kane roared and punched Russo in the face, sending the Elder crashing to the floor and leaving a crater. Everyone who had stayed back, believing the Elder and Keith Vincents would be enough to stop this man, was now in shock. Even Elder Russo, a cultivator who had earned praise for reaching a level of power few could attain, was shocked. Keith looked at Kane; his legs shook as he pushed a button. The alert went out to all the guards in the building: they were about to take down a monster, and they needed to avoid mistakes. “Calling for backup? I thought you were fearless?” K

Kane slowly wiped blood off his shoe and looked at Russo and Keith. He hadn't come there to play games with them, and he didn't want to waste his time on anything like that. Everyone at the party had started making their way out of the hall, knowing that it was about to turn into a disaster zone. The guards knew better than to try to intervene; they were normal men, and fighting cultivators would be the end of them. No one who provoked an Elder of the conclave would get away with it. Not everyone left; some stayed back to see what would become of the silver-white-haired man who came to a place like this looking for trouble. “He is dead now. Elder Russo was said to have broken through and hit the Violet Rank; someone like him won't lose to him. I am sure that they aren't going to kill right away.” “Are you kidding? He just killed Daran Becker; they are going to make his life a living hell.” Kane kept his eyes on the men; he knew they were trying to scare him. Russo was the firs

Kane stood over the dead body, looking at it, almost empty and void of any emotion that could get him anything other than the anger he felt within himself. "I see they pissed you off." The man in a white suit spoke up, looking at the piles of dead bodies. Kane stayed silent and turned to the soldiers who had come with him. "Damien, did they..." "They brought them, so you dont need to worry about it." The man in the white suit was Damien Matthews, Kane's second-in-command, or, as people called him, the Right Hand of Destruction. Kane turned to the warriors and bowed his head slightly. Then almost immediately, the warriors signaled the car. Other people brought down tombstones made of gold, decorated with diamonds and other rare stones. There were six; they lined them up behind the cups Kane had set up. The stones bore the names of all Kane's fallen family members. "Damien," Kane muttered, watching the workers set up the tombstones. "Yeah?" "How fast can you get me the loc

"I hope that now you have pulled your weapons out; you know how to use them?" Kane asked, as his eyes met theirs. Kylian shook as his eyes met Kane's, and all he felt was fear. The man standing before him seemed nothing like a normal person. The way he stared at him without showing any fear made it worse. Kane stepped forward, his eyes still on the man. Immediately, he took another step. "You have no idea who you are crossing paths with. Are you trying to hurt me? The Vincents are going to kill you if anything happens to me!!" Kylian yelled, trying to keep Kane from doing anything. "If you even think of hurting me, they will make sure that Elder Russo, the Blazing Meteor of the Conclave, will make sure that you get the most excruciating death. There will be nothing left of you, so I advise that you find another thing to do." K
