The pot-bellied policeman jeered, "Oh, so frightening. I'm really scared."

Then the policemen burst into laughter.

Unfazed, Alden walked towards Rose, who was being held by the pot-bellied and mustached officers.

Unable to help it, the closer Alden got, the more worried Rose became.

"Oh, Al, please, don't be stubborn," she pleaded.

The pot-bellied policeman said, brandishing a gun, "Alright, if you keep challenging us."

As the policeman attempted to pull the trigger, Rose deflected his hand with her cuffed one.

"Bang!" A stray gunshot rang out.

Facing Alden, Rose begged through tears, "Please, Al, stop. I'm afraid you'll get hurt. I'm afraid of losing you.”

Instantly, the atmosphere in front of Rose's gate shifted from tense to quiet.

Anyone witnessing this scene wouldn't believe they were not husband and wife.

Roy muttered as he tried to make sense of Rose's actions, "Is she crazy?"

He still couldn't understand why Rose acted as if she were lovesick over someone as mediocre as Alden.
