Chapter 24 Awoken To A Crime

I awoke to a room full of smoke. Kodyack’s bed was unmade and he was nowhere to be seen. I shot an orb of light into the air as the smoke dissipated and saw broken glass all over the floor. Beside me on my uncle’s nightstand was a piece of parchment. This is what it said:

It looks so much like my dad’s handwriting. But if it is my dad, why would he do this? Things just don’t match up here.
