The crossbow bolt whistled past Hanzo’s ear, missing his temple by a fraction of an inch before shattering a five-hundred-dollar bottle of "Ethereal Mist" artisanal beard oil. The bathroom was instantly filled with the scent of sandalwood and Hanzo’s internal screaming.

"System! Help! I’m being shot at by Ninjas!" Hanzo roared, scrambling across the slick marble floor.

[Quest Alert: "The Janitor’s Justice"]

[Objective: Neutralize the intruders using only items found within the 'Purity Chamber.']

[Constraint: If the towel falls, the reward is halved due to 'Indecent Exposure Penalty.']

[Reward: $3,000,000 and the 'Frugal Fighter' Passive Skill.]

"Is this really the time for a wardrobe malfunction penalty?" Hanzo hissed, clutching the gold-plated toilet brush with a white-knuckled grip.

The first assassin, a man clad in matte-black tactical gear that screamed 'expensive mercenary,' vaulted through the shattered glass door. He didn't say a word, drawing a combat knife that looked like it cost more than Hanzo’s previous life.

Elara was huddled by the vanity, her eyes wide. "Hanzo! Look out!"

Hanzo didn't look out; he reacted. The System’s 'Improvised Weaponry' skill surged through his nervous system like an overclocked processor. His vision turned a sharp, neon blue, highlighting tactical opportunities. The expensive, organic seaweed soap on the edge of the tub wasn't just soap—it was a Tier-1 Friction-Reduction Device.

As the assassin lunged, Hanzo didn't parry. He squeezed the bottle of 'Deep-Sea Mineral Body Wash' with the strength of a man who had spent three years opening stubborn cans of beans. A jet of viscous, lavender-scented slime shot across the floor.

The assassin’s lead foot hit the puddle. In the world of high-stakes wet-work, traction is king. The mercenary’s tactical boot suddenly had the friction coefficient of a penguin on an ice rink. His legs flew out from under him, his professional dignity evaporating as he let out a very unprofessional "Wagh!"

Hanzo didn't waste a second. He swung the gold-plated toilet brush with the grace of a seasoned golfer. Thwack! The heavy, bristles-first impact caught the man right in the solar plexus, knocking the wind out of him.

"One down," Hanzo panted, his towel slipping precariously. He hiked it up with his elbow, his face flushing. "Stay back, Elara! This is about to get... sudsy."

The second assassin was smarter. He saw his partner groaning in a puddle of expensive soap and decided to keep his distance, leveling his high-tech crossbow again.

[Warning: Projectile trajectory detected. Recommended Countermeasure: 'The Silk Shield.']

Hanzo’s eyes darted to the heated towel rack. Hanging there was a three-hundred-thread-count Egyptian cotton bath sheet. Using the gold-plated toilet brush like a hook, he snagged the towel and whipped it forward.

Thwip-thwip!

Two bolts fired. Instead of piercing Hanzo’s chest, they buried themselves in the heavy, folded layers of the premium cotton. The momentum of the bolts actually helped Hanzo—the weight of the projectiles dragged the towel down, wrapping around the assassin’s outstretched arms like a high-end straightjacket.

"Who even uses gold toilet brushes anyway?" Hanzo yelled, charging forward. He didn't use a punch or a kick. He used a 'Scavenger’s Tackle,' a move honed by years of diving into dumpsters before the garbage truck arrived.

He collided with the second man, sending them both crashing into the walk-in shower. Hanzo’s hand fumbled for the controls. His fingers brushed against a dial labeled 'Arctic Blast Hydro-Massage.'

He slammed it to the maximum setting.

A high-pressure jet of near-freezing water exploded from the wall, hitting the assassin square in the face. The man sputtered, blinded and shocked by the sudden temperature drop. Hanzo took the opportunity to grab a nearby bottle of 'Exfoliating Himalayan Salt Scrub' and—with the precision of a professional pitcher—pelted the man’s tactical goggles. The gritty salt blurred the lenses, leaving the killer flailing in the freezing spray.

"Master, your technique... it’s so unorthodox!" Elara shouted over the roar of the shower. She was watching him, not with terror, but with the kind of intense, scholarly devotion one might give a monk performing a miracle. "You use the tools of the mundane to shatter the elite!"

"I’m just trying not to get stabbed while naked, Elara!" Hanzo screamed back.

The third assassin, the leader, stepped over the wreckage of the glass. He didn't use a crossbow or a knife. He pulled out a suppressed submachine gun.

"Enough games," the man growled, his voice muffled by his mask.

Hanzo’s heart plummeted. The System didn't have a 'Bullet-Proof Towel' upgrade. He looked around frantically. His eyes landed on the massive, ornate gold-plated towel rack bolted to the marble wall.

[System Analysis: Structural Weak Point Detected. Apply 400 lbs of pressure to the left bracket for 'Improvised Lever' effect.]

"Elara, cover your ears!" Hanzo yelled.

He grabbed the towel rack with both hands. His 'Drunken Scavenger’s Reflexes' kicked in, giving him a burst of frantic, chaotic strength. He didn't just pull; he twisted his entire body weight, using the wet marble floor to slide and create a pivot.

The bolts holding the gold rack to the wall groaned. With a sound like a gunshot, the marble fractured. The entire heavy, gold-plated bar tore free.

The assassin opened fire.

Hanzo swung the heavy gold bar in a wide, desperate arc. It wasn't a masterstroke of martial arts; it was the frantic swing of a man trying to swat a very dangerous fly. The gold bar collided with the barrel of the submachine gun just as the first few rounds left the chamber.

The impact redirected the gunfire into the ceiling, showering them in plaster dust. The sheer weight of the gold bar, combined with Hanzo’s momentum, didn't stop at the gun. It slammed into the assassin’s collarbone with a sickening crunch.

The leader crumpled, the heavy weapon clattering to the floor.

Hanzo stood there, chest heaving, his towel barely hanging on by a prayer and a single tuck of fabric. A sharp sting on his upper arm drew his attention a stray shard of glass or perhaps a grazing bolt had left a thin, red line across his bicep.

"I'm bleeding," Hanzo muttered, staring at the wound. "That’s... that's actual blood. This isn't a game."

The realization hit him harder than the assassins had. He wasn't just a guy with a weird app on his phone anymore. He was a target.

Elara rushed toward him, her face pale. "Hanzo! You’re hurt!"

"It’s just a scratch," Hanzo said, though his legs felt like jelly. He looked down at the three professional killers—one unconscious in a pile of soap, one shivering in a freezing shower, and one clutching a broken collarbone.

He looked at the gold-plated toilet brush still in his hand. "I need a drink. And some actual clothes. Preferably something with a belt. A very tight belt."

The bathroom door burst open. Faelwyn Pax charged in, his pistol drawn, his eyes wild with adrenaline. He looked at the carnage: the shattered glass, the freezing shower spray, the scent of expensive beard oil and lavender, and the three elite assassins neutralized by a man in a damp towel.

Faelwyn looked at the leader, who was currently being tied up by Hanzo using the belt of a five-thousand-dollar silk bathrobe.

"I... I heard gunfire," Faelwyn stammered, his gaze shifting from the unconscious mercenaries to Hanzo’s gold-plated 'weapon.' "What happened? Where is the security breach?"

Hanzo pulled the silk knot tight, glancing over his shoulder with a weary, half-crazed grin. "The breach is currently exfoliating, Faelwyn. You’re late. Again."

Faelwyn’s jaw dropped as he took in the scene. He looked at the broken marble, the improvised traps, and then at Hanzo, who was casually wiping blood from his arm with a discarded designer napkin.

"You did this... with a towel rack and soap?" Faelwyn whispered, his professional pride visibly crumbling.

"It’s called resource management," Hanzo grunted, finally feeling the adrenaline ebb away. "Now, if you’ll excuse me, I believe I have three million dollars and a very large medical bill to attend to."

But as Faelwyn moved to secure the perimeter, Hanzo’s phone buzzed in the pocket of his discarded rags near the door. It wasn't a bank notification. It was a text from an unknown number.

Nice towel, Hanzo. But silk doesn't stop what's coming next.

  • Parley on the Tracks

"Parley? On my tracks?" Maren spat the words out like a mouthful of sour metal, her scarred knuckle resting casually on the heavy-caliber pneumatic riveter bolted directly to the flatbed rail-crawler’s front deck. The halogen beams cut straight through the diesel haze, pinning Hanzo, Faelwyn, and Kaelen against the rusted ribs of the derailed passenger car like pinned specimens under a microscope. "You don't get to parley when you're caught trespassing with hydraulic jacks in your hands, stranger. You get thrown into the sump or you get a rivet through your kneecap."Hanzo didn’t drop his pry bar. He didn't even blink against the blinding glare of the halogen lamps. Instead, he let his grip slide an inch lower on the steel shaft, balancing its weight with the easy, dangerous familiarity of a man who had negotiated with every cutthroat and corporate liquidation squad from here to the outer wall. "Try to put a rivet in my knee, Maren, and you'll spend the rest of yo

  • Parley on the Tracks

The heavy diesel exhaust rolled down the subterranean tunnel in a thick, choking cloud of grey smoke that caught in the back of Hanzo's throat, stinging his eyes and tasting of unrefined oil. From the pitch-black mouth of the transit junction, a low, mechanical growl vibrated through the steel-reinforced concrete floor, rattling the loose gravel around Hanzo’s boots and setting the hydraulic jacks trembling against the buckled railcar. Headlights—harsh, glaring halogen beams mounted on a heavily modified flatbed rail-crawler—punched through the smog, blindingly bright and instantly pinning the three intruders against the wreckage of the municipal line."Hold your fire!" a voice rasped from behind the glare, carrying a metallic edge that bounced off the curved tunnel walls with deafening amplification. "Drop the pry bars, kick the jacks away from the chassis, and step back into the light where I can count your teeth. You’re trespassing on Rail-Guard pro

  • The Rail-Guard

"Quiet perimeter doesn't mean empty," Faelwyn muttered, drawing a suppressed sidearm from his thigh holster as the echoes of their metal-clearing work died down against the damp concrete walls. "Someone’s been using this stretch of track recently. Look at the rails. The rust is scraped off the inner flanges. Heavy wheels. Not handcarts."Kaelen spat a glob of grey phlegm onto the ballast, kicking a loose railway spike with his heavy steel-toed boot. "Means we aren't the only ones looking for a shortcut to the upper sectors. Move the jack, Hanzo. We're about to find out who thinks they own the subway."Hanzo didn’t answer right away. He dropped the hydraulic pump lever with a dull, heavy clank, his eyes narrowing as he stared into the pitch-black mouth of the transit tunnel where the twin rails vanished into the suffocating gloom. The stale air carried a distinct scent—not just the copper-and-sulfur rot of the drainage sumps, but something artificial.

  • Clearing the Spur

"We've got a mountain of scrap metal and a buckled passenger car blocking the entire junction, Hanzo," Kaelen shouted back, his heavy boots crunching over shattered glass and oxidized bolts as he waded deeper into the suffocating gloom of the underground tunnel. "If we don't clear this main spur out by nightfall, every scav-pack from Sector 4 to the drainage sumps is going to use this tunnel as an open-air highway straight into our backyard."Hanzo hoisted a heavy hydraulic jack from the deck of the maintenance crawler, his jaw tightening as the cold metal bit into his palms. "Then we clear it now. Stop talking about the problem and help me wedge this base plate under the chassis before the whole ceiling comes down on our heads."Faelwyn dropped from the overhead ventilation shaft with a soft, practiced thud, his long rifle slung tight across his chest as he dusted soot from his shoulders. "Perimeter’s quiet for now, but the air down here tastes like sulfur and b

  • The Subterranean Route

The heavy iron pry bar screamed against decades of oxidized scale, throwing a shower of orange sparks that hissed out in the freezing damp of the lower transit level. Hanzo planted his boot against the side of the buckled railcar, his shoulder burning beneath his jacket as he threw his entire weight forward. The rusted steel bulkhead groaned, shifted an inch, and then dropped with a bone-rattling crash into the gravel bed of the old municipal subway line."Clear," Hanzo spat, wiping a streak of black grease and sweat from his forehead with the back of his forearm. "At least the main spur isn't collapsed. How does it look further down, Kaelen?"Kaelen swept the beam of his heavy industrial flashlight across the cavernous subterranean tunnel, the light cutting through swirling clouds of lime dust and stale, hundred-year-old air. The beam illuminated parallel lines of heavy steel rails stretching endlessly into the Stygian dark, choked intermittently with mounds of rubble
