6: A Horrendous Massacre

BOOM!

The gates and roof of the abandoned warehouse in Velora city blew into pieces with a loud explosion. Smoke swirled up and covered the place, making it almost impossible for one to see.

Immediately the doors of the warehouse gave way, dozens of well equipped security forces in black combative uniforms slid down ropes that were dropped from the choppers.

THUD!

THUD!

THUD!

They rushed in, with Kairos and General Nikolai following them closely. However, after a quick search, they soon realized that the warehouse was empty and void of people.

"Are you sure the reports of your investigation are correct?" Kairos asked in a low tone, glancing around briefly. "Was the call really made from this warehouse?"

General Nikolai gulped, swallowing a mouth full of saliva as sweat rolled off his forehead. It's been two years since he last saw Kairos. 

Now, he was no longer a little assistant who followed Kairos around. He was also a general, but this man still manages to intimidate him. This was the raw aura of the Godly Supreme. No one could ever take his place.

"Sir, the reports were obtained from the findings of the international satellite. Their system couldn't have been wrong."

Even as General Nikolai explained, everyone knew it was too late. They didn't get here in no time, and those criminals already made away with the little boy.

Kairos ruffled his hair, panting hard, and everyone's breath ceased fearfully. They shuddered when he suddenly turned around and—

BANG!

—punched a wall hard. A tiny crack like a cobweb appeared on the spot. But all the soldiers could hear the impending rumbling sound. They all stepped back as the tiny cobweb crack suddenly spread in all directions. 

BANG!

The thick, brick wall instantly shattered into rubble. Debris flew everywhere. Coupled with the frightening murderous expression on Kairos' face, the atmosphere was tense and terrifying. 

THUD!

General Nikolai and the others fell to their knees in one concession. The Godly Supreme was furious!

General Nikolai knew more than anyone there just how terrifying Kairos was. There was a saying that is widely circulated in the underworld region of the Eastern Atlantis.

One time, a stupid don had the guts to send people to ambush Kairos’ personal driver and cut off his ears before sending him back in a critical condition as a warning.

Seeing someone close to him in such a state, Kairos completely lost his temper. He didn't hesitate to mobilize about a thousand elite soldiers and charge straight to the don's territory.

In retaliation for the sin they committed, Kairos led his army to sever the heads, legs, and arms of the don and his people!

It was said that the massacre was so horrendous, legs, arms, and heads were piled up like a mountain! Even a huge part of the Eastern sea turned bloody red. The don's entire territory was almost completely destroyed.

The Godly Supreme became a name that spread through people's lips all over the country and commanded more fear in their hearts.

General Nikolai and the soldiers looked at themselves. Now, the Godly Supreme's own child has been abducted. If that boy isn't found, even Atlantis wouldn't be able to withstand his fury!

"I don't care where they may have run off to. As long as they are on this surface of earth, find my son for me right away!" Veins bulge on Kairos’ forehead as he trembled and roared.

"Be rest assured, sir," General Nikolai lowered his head. "We have already notified the police force. Every single road is on a cul-de-sac and they are personally checking all the vehicles. We will find the young master soon."

Kairos nodded and closed his eyes briefly. After inhaling deeply, his eyes flew open and he looked humane again. The soldiers could finally rise.

As he turned around to leave, he told General Nikolai, "Find out the whereabouts of my wife. She should have some clues about these people."

"Yes sir," General Nikolai nodded as he flicked his fingers, signaling to the soldiers who immediately scurried out and got to work.

About some minutes later, General Nikolai returned to Kairos with the report. "Sir, we have found the location of the young mistress...."

Then he trailed off and looked at the soldiers accompanying with a dire expression like he was about to swallow a bitter pill. 

Kairos was too impatient to play mind games at the moment. So he snapped, "Go on. Tell me where she is."

General Nikolai gulped and swallowed his hesitation. "Young mistress is currently at the Peach Palace."

Kairos' brows arched in confusion. "Peach palace? Where is that?"

The soldiers' jaws almost dropped. Does the Godly Supreme really not know the Peach Palace? What hole did he hide under these past years?

The Peach Palace is very popular in Velora city and even in the entire Northern Atlantis region. Some of the soldiers have also visited that place in the past. 

"Will someone speak up or do I have to force out the words from your throat?" Kairos was getting more impatient with their silence.

General Nikolai suddenly turned and grabbed a soldier. Nudging him forward, he ordered, "You tell him."

"Sir—" the soldier's protest died in his throat when he came upon Kairos' dark glare. He dared not hesitate to speak any longer.

"General," he lowered his head. "Peach Palace is a strip club. That is what it is popularly known as in the entire region but it isn't just a strip club. The real money is made in the back."

The soldier paused briefly to take a breath but continued in a split second. 

"They have got naked girls dancing on stage but that is just the front. In the back rooms, rich men pay for more than just a show. I have even heard rumours that the girls aren't just made to sleep with their clients. The highest bidder also gets to own them."

The soldier stopped talking and took several steps back. General Nikolai and the other soldiers also retreated. None of them wanted to be the victim of Kairos' wrath.

On the other hand, Kairos had gone completely still. His fists clenched at his sides, and his whole body trembled with fury.

His son was hanging between life and death yet his mother was at a strip club?
