“Damn it!” Jay glared at Jordan. He became annoyed that Jordan didn't answer his question.

In a moment Jay could instantly feel the immense pressure from Jordan. His eyes didn't even radiate fear at all. Jay was sure that this person was not just anyone who came here.

Irritated, Jay pulled his hand away, but Jordan didn't let go of his grip. In fact, the more Jay tried the tighter Jordan held him.

Jay clenched his teeth, not liking Jordan's actions. “Oh, it turns out that this hospital has the nerve to act. Deliberately hiring thugs like this to obstruct us, huh? You'd better stay out of it if you still care about your fate, you village thug!”

Jordan narrowed his eyes. He was seriously watching Jay's gestures. From the movement of his eyes, mouth, and behavior, he seemed to have a protector who he considered a strong man.

Not long after, Doctor Aurelia arrived and she firmly stepped closer. Her gaze was sharp at Jay who had an unpleasant look on his face. “Why are you here again? I t

The sword slash released a powerful wave of energy. Light flashed, then struck Liam's body repeatedly—without pause, without mercy. Each impact screeched through the air, as if the space itself was being torn apart. Liam's screams exploded, echoing loudly throughout the city. His voice mixed with the thundering energy as the demon's body began to crumble, piece by piece, under the holy slashes. The residents who heard it simultaneously covered their ears. Some fell to their knees, their faces grimacing. The vibrations traveled through the ground and air, hitting their heads with a piercing pain. "Arrgh! My ears!" "Mr. Jordan... I can't take this!" One by one, people collapsed. Their bodies fell and thrashed on the ground, muffled screams escaping their throats. The pain pierced their heads, as if something was tearing them apart from within. Jordan staggered. His hands reflexively covered his ears, energy immediately flowing to coat his body—but the pain remained, making his fo

Unexpectedly, the flow of people moved in the opposite direction. One by one, silhouettes appeared at the edge of Duskvale, their steps leading them to the battle site. Jessica clicked her tongue, her voice short and sharp. Her gaze swept over the crowd that was getting closer. "Why are they coming here?" she muttered, her eyebrows furrowed. "Isn't the evacuation route on the west side?" Jordan didn't turn his head. His gaze remained fixed ahead, his expression flat. "They were lured by Liam and Qwentin," he said calmly, almost emotionlessly. "The promise of immortality made them forget how to think." Boston knelt on the ground, his body swaying as if his weight could no longer be supported. His breathing was labored, his face pale with a purplish tinge, a sign that the poison was still working. Jordan turned to Niel. His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. "Niel, take Boston to Allison. He's pushed himself too hard." Niel nodded immediately. Without hesitation, he g

In a matter of seconds, Boston's body changed. His muscles swelled and tensed, as if pumped from within. His skin stretched, veins protruding clearly on his arms and neck. The aura of ki energy that enveloped him surged wildly—spinning, pulsing, hitting the air around him like invisible waves. The roof of the building shook slightly. Tiny dust particles rose. The pressure was heavy.Qwentin's smile slowly faded. For the first time, something unfamiliar appeared in his eyes—not anger, not arrogance. Alertness. He swallowed unconsciously, then took a step back.“What is this...?” he muttered.Qwentin didn't stay still. As soon as he saw the change, his fighting instincts kicked in. He lunged forward, his hands moving quickly, and one by one, knives shot out from between his fingers.Whoosh! Whoosh! But Boston disappeared. He didn't jump. He didn't dodge. He vanished.Qwentin's eyes widened.“What—?!”Suddenly, a shadow appeared on his left side. Boston. Too close. Before Qwentin could r

Qwentin wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. The red stain remained on his skin—contrasting with the faint smile that slowly appeared. Then, without warning, his body leaped backward, landing lightly several meters away from Jessica. Dust scattered as his feet hit the ground. He clenched his fist. The knuckle bars on his fingers clattered softly, emitting a cold metallic sound. His body lowered, taking a perfect fighting stance. His eyes stared sharply at Jessica.“Such a weak punch,” he said softly, “is nothing but a joke to me.”Jessica's eyes widened. Without hesitation, she lunged forward. Her javelin was drawn, its tip slicing through the air, aimed directly at Qwentin's body. However, something unexpected happened. Qwentin did not dodge.Clang! He parried it with his knife. Small sparks flew between the clashing metals. In a movement that was almost invisible, Qwentin was already at close range. His fist hit Jessica in the stomach.DUGH!The ai

The people staring at the numbers fell silent for a long time. Especially those sitting in expensive chairs, in marble-lined rooms, behind screens that reflected blue light onto their faces. Before their eyes, the genetically engineered recording continued to play—a dead body, resurrected. Breathing. Moving. Alive. This wasn't just science. It felt like the work of gods. But at the same time, the names Qwentin and Liam were clearly displayed. Two criminals. Two figures who should have been behind bars, not wielding this kind of power. Some people clenched their fists. Others swallowed hard. They knew this was wrong. They knew it was dangerous. But they also knew one other thing. Everyone, no matter how good they are, has someone they want to bring back to life.“Oh, look at this.”Qwentin lifted his device slightly, the screen reflecting light onto his face. The list of names kept growing, row after row, as if there was no end to it. Calls came in one after another, without pause.“We

Duskvale had been abandoned. The streets that were usually bustling were now deserted, leaving only silent buildings and the wind blowing without witnesses. Not many figures were visible. Harvey's men had completed their task neatly. However, for Harvey himself, the situation was far from good. The poison in his body had not yet subsided. Every time he tried to exert himself, his body refused—his muscles felt heavy, his strength never gathering. The poison was too strong, clearly not ordinary poison.Harvey jumped onto the roof of the building and stood at the edge. In the distance, the sun had shifted to orange, its light stretching between the empty buildings. He took a deep breath, forcing his body to be alert. The promised time was almost up—only minutes before they arrived.Soon after, the roar of propellers broke the silence. A helicopter descended low. Qwentin and Liam jumped out, landing right in front of Harvey. The smiles on their faces were effortless, full of satisfaction.
