“Is that all?”

The woman's voice sounded flat, but full of venom. She sat on a blood-red velvet chair, crossing her legs gracefully. The shiny black dress that covered her body contrasted with the coldness in her eyes.

Her hands were folded in front of her chest, and her lips curved into a cynical smile.

Before her, a muscular bodyguard stood stiffly, bowing deeply. In his hands, two large plastic bags filled with food seemed fragile compared to the pressure he felt.

“Yes, Mrs. Jesselyn,” he stammered. Sweat trickled down his temples. “We’ve searched three districts. This… is all we managed to get. As per—”

Crash!

A glass flew swiftly from Jesselyn’s hand, striking the bodyguard’s head with a shattering sound that deafened the ears. The liquid from the glass spread across the floor along with the glass shards, like blood on a stage.

The bodyguard jerked, his body freezing. His left hand rose to his temple, touching a small wound that was beginning to bleed. But he dared not complain.

As soon as Anderson's scream echoed, Harvey and Jordan reacted immediately. Without hesitation, they brutally struck the necks of the children who had been surrounding them. One by one, the small bodies collapsed, lying limp on the floor, unable to see what happened next. The screams were enough to tell them what had happened. Allison had clearly made her move. After making sure all the children were unconscious, Jordan let out a heavy sigh. His eyes glanced briefly in the direction of where Allison was, then shook his head slowly.“She should have paid attention to her surroundings,” he muttered. “There are too many children here...”When Harvey and Jordan looked at Anderson, they fell silent for a moment. The man lay on the floor with his face covered in blood, his jaw shattered—the result of Allison's brutal stomp. At first glance, the attack could have taken his life. But in fact, Allison had held back. She had only crippled Anderson... temporarily.Still, the trauma left behind w

Zack grinned widely. The combat knife in his hand was raised, pointing directly at Harvey.“You're not going anywhere,” he said, his voice deep and threatening.Harvey glanced around the room. Four adults. The rest were children. Everyone was holding weapons—broken bottles, metal pipes, and dull kitchen knives. Makeshift weapons, but enough to injure, even kill. However, Harvey showed no sign of fear. He slowly slipped both hands into his pants pockets. The movement was simple, but in a situation like this, it felt like a slap in the face to his opponents—the attitude of someone who felt no threat at all. Some of them exchanged glances. Hesitant. Confused. Then, Harvey spoke. Calmly. Coldly. With confidence.“Put down your weapons, or this will end worse than you think.”Zack and his companions burst into crude laughter. Their voices echoed in the dingy room, blending with the damp, rusty smell filling the air.“Did you hear that?” Zack turned to his followers, pointing at Harvey and

Slam!A hard slap landed on the cheek of a teenage girl. Her head staggered to the side, and she could only hold her breath-a scream almost escaped her throat, but she held it tight. Her hand trembled as she felt her cheek, which was now red and throbbing with heat."You idiot!"The man's voice echoed loudly in the narrow hallway. His tone was explosive, full of anger that had been pent up for far too long-and now spilled over onto the tiny face in front of him."Do you have eyes or not, huh?" he snapped again, his face flushed with emotion. "Why would you take an expensive bag if it's empty?"The big man growled, then slammed the bag to the ground roughly. The sound of it hitting the floor bounced loudly off the hallway wall, as if to emphasize that the expensive bag was nothing more than trash in his eyes. The teenage girl just looked down, her shoulders shaking slightly.A boy-who had been with her during the mugging-immediately stepped forward. His hand gently touched her shoulder

Their assignment went smoothly-without interruption, without a trace. Now, night was falling, and they reassembled at a small cafe on the corner of Northvale. It was crowded, but cozy. Chandeliers illuminated their wooden tables, while the smell of coffee and firewood permeated the air.Alex leaned back in his chair and let out a long breath through his nose. His face looked crumpled, and his lips were pulled down, revealing a disappointment that he didn't hide."No sign of anything..." he muttered, his voice almost a complaint.Allison was busy unpacking the shopping bag on her lap. Several unique accessories and small trinkets glittered in the light of the cafe's lamps. Her eyes sparkled, a small smile painted on her face-it was clear she was enjoying the festival more than the others."The stuff is really nice," she muttered, more to herself, then turned to Alex."Captain Alex," he said, raising one eyebrow, "stop complaining. You were too emotional during the mission, and now you

Roaring laughter and thumping music flooded the air. Colorful lights hung along the streets of Northvale, glowing softly among the dancing and cheering crowd. Harvey strolled casually through the center of the festival, flanked by Jordan, Alex, Allison, and Rein. There was nothing striking about their appearance-all dressed casually, as if they were just a bunch of ordinary people getting lost in the euphoria of the night.Harvey slipped his sunglasses on his face, even though the sun had already begun to set. He turned his gaze slowly in all directions, scanning the bustling city. Northvale, he thought, was much more lively and cheerful than the somber Duskvale, or the always gloomy Rainvale.Next to her, Rein slipped his hands into his pants pockets. A small smile spread across his face as he took a deep breath, letting the scent of street food and night air fill his chest."I didn't expect us to land in such a cheerful place," he said, turning his head slightly towards Harvey. "Gen

Harvey walked into the practice room. Everyone immediately fell silent. Their gazes were fixed on him, realizing this presence carried something serious. There was no Vanessa among them-she was busy with the movie shoot and hadn't returned to base yet. The room felt a little lame without her. With slow, deliberate steps, Harvey made his way to the center of the room. His aura of leadership is palpable, making everyone stand up straight as if instinctively. The atmosphere was more tense than usual.Jordan stepped quickly over to him, her eyes staring at a folder clutched tightly in Harvey's hand-a folder he had never given her."General... is someone coming?" he asked cautiously. In no time, Jordan realized that the folder wasn't internal. It was... given to him by someone else. And what bothered him the most: that person had managed to meet Harvey without his knowledge.Harvey nodded slowly, his eyes remaining sharp and unreadable. "Yes. Just came."Jordan held his breath. If even he-
