“How did that happen? I heard that you were very fond of Mrs. Whitley Smith.” Jordan wrinkled his forehead. He was too shocked to hear the news.

“Didn't I ask you to talk about your identity to Mrs. Smith months ago? I thought you already said that.”

Harvey shook his head slowly. “I didn't. That woman doesn't deserve to know.”

Harvey glanced quietly at Jordan. “She's been having an affair with another man.”

Jordan was stunned. She was speechless after hearing Harvey's words. For now, he didn't know what to do. He could only see how stern Harvey's expression was in the face of this situation.

This was quite puzzling, and it even replayed in Jordan's mind. “Why would a woman throw away a general like this? Is that woman stupid?”

The atmosphere became quiet. Jordan needed to break the silence. “General. So, are you able to return to the war?”

Harvey turned his head without replying to Jordan's question.

Jordan took a breath. “Will you be returning to your position, General?”

Jordan gave Harvey an expectant look. Hoping that Harvey would give him the answer he wanted.

Three years ago, Harvey left his post to live like a civilian. That was how William Smith found him to be a commoner.

Harvey glanced at Jordan's cat-like gaze asking for food. However, Harvey firmly refused. “No, no, no. I will remain a civilian.”

Jordan frowned. Harvey was no longer tied to Whitley and the Smith family. Why would he not want to return to his position? This was enough to make Jordan confused.

It had been a long time since Harvey had enjoyed this kind of leisure time.

Jordan carried Harvey's bag. "General, let's go to your villa."

Jordan led Harvey to his lambo car. Then he opened the door for Harvey. They both climbed in and sped off to Harvey's villa. It was a large house. It was the villa that Harvey had abandoned, but was looked after by Jordan.

They both entered the house. Harvey placed his bag on a chair. He did not sit down immediately. He turned to face Jordan.

Jordan stood tall in front of him. “What is it, General?”

Harvey looked at his subordinate very casually. “Later, someone will report me to the police. Soon, there will be police looking for me.”

Jordan immediately furrowed his brows. “Huh? Who would dare do that to a general? How rude of him! I'll teach them a lesson.”

Harvey slightly looked at the back of his right palm. There was a trace of blood there. Then he looked calmly at Jordan. “That's the work of my wife's mistress.”

Jordan narrowed his eyes. In her opinion, it was something that should not be done to someone as big as Harvey.

Harvey exhaled. “Leave it alone. I want to see what he can do. Besides, I want to take revenge at them more viciously.”

Jordan was silent for a moment. Harvey stared ahead with a very cold face. If there was a fire in front of him, it would probably freeze instantly. Jordan loved that stare, a strong stare from Harvey. During the war, Harvey had often seen his comrades and men die. He would stare coldly like this if he was going to take revenge. And when he did, the enemy would be wiped out.

Jordan swallowed. “All right, General. I will prepare everything. Anyway, do you need anything else, General?”

Harvey sat down. “I want to rest. Go on.”

Jordan nodded respectfully. Then he slowly left the place. After he closed the door, he was sure that something big was going to happen. Because he had seen Harvey getting serious about doing something.

The next day, morning came. Harvey was eating the breakfast provided by the maid at Jordan's house. It was a morning meal that was enough to energize and warm up the body. Harvey savored it slowly.

A moment later, Jordan came over with a document. “General, this is exactly as you said.”

Jordan laid out the documents for Harvey. “There really was a report about your crime. That person reported you to the police.”

Harvey wasn't very interested in the documents. “So?”

Jordan pulled back the document. He took a breath. “They took the easy way out. They have some police contacts at the central police station. By giving those cops a little money, they think they can get you arrested. They've also lined up a good prosecutor.”

Harvey nodded. “Then we'll repay their bad deeds.”

Moments later, Harvey and Jordan headed to the downtown police station. It was a large place with several buildings and a large training center. Harvey and Jordan are walking from the parking lot to the main building. Currently, they wanted to meet one of Jordan's acquaintances who was inside this office.

Just then, a white BMW suddenly stopped in front of them. Slowly, the window of the car opened. A head with sunglasses smiled dimly at Harvey. His lips were turned up one side, and this person's face was quite annoying.

The man named James raised one eyebrow. “Oh, you even came to this place yourself to turn yourself in? Look at this loser. In these shabby clothes, you want to fight Mr. Andreas Brown. You'd better bow down and break your own nose in front of Lord Andreas. Maybe he will rethink about your punishment.”

James gave a small chuckle. He deliberately teased like that to provoke Harvey. Harvey did not bother about this. “Tell your lord to bow down and lick my feet so he can be free.”

James' laughter immediately stopped. His face became grim. He angrily got out of the car and slammed the door. His breathing became heavy and short.

He glared at Harvey and pointed at his face. “This bastard... how arrogant of you to say that.”

Harvey replied with a casual look despite the man's glare. Instead, the man turned his gaze to Jordan. Unlike Harvey, Jordan's clothes looked neater as he was wearing a suit.

He pointed at Jordan. “Is it because of this man that you've become arrogant, loser? This won't change the fact, you'll still be arrested and rot in jail! Because of what? Because you're a rat in a dumpster. Haha!”

Hearing that, Jordan's blood rose. He took a step forward to hit this man. However, his steps immediately stopped when he saw Harvey raise his palms up to his face, gesturing for him to stop.

Harvey tilted his head. “So you're the one Andreas hired? You turned out to be quite problematic.”

The laughter on James' face faded. He furrowed his brow with emotion. It was infuriating to hear the word problematic come out of Harvey's mouth.

Harvey could see the change in expression. It was a sign that James was responding to his words. “You got 400,000 dollars from the Brooks family to take care of the family's drug scandal. Your career as a lawyer will be instantly ruined if that case goes public.”

James glared. The muscles in his neck popped. “Shut up!”

Jessica clicked her tongue, her voice short and sharp. Her gaze swept over the crowd that was getting closer. "Why are they coming here?" she muttered, her eyebrows furrowed. "Isn't the evacuation route on the west side?" Jordan didn't turn his head. His gaze remained fixed ahead, his expression flat. "They were lured by Liam and Qwentin," he said calmly, almost emotionlessly. "The promise of immortality made them forget how to think." Boston knelt on the ground, his body swaying as if his weight could no longer be supported. His breathing was labored, his face pale with a purplish tinge, a sign that the poison was still working. Jordan turned to Niel. His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. "Niel, take Boston to Allison. He's pushed himself too hard." Niel nodded immediately. Without hesitation, he g

The people staring at the numbers fell silent for a long time. Especially those sitting in expensive chairs, in marble-lined rooms, behind screens that reflected blue light onto their faces. Before their eyes, the genetically engineered recording continued to play—a dead body, resurrected. Breathing. Moving. Alive. This wasn't just science. It felt like the work of gods. But at the same time, the names Qwentin and Liam were clearly displayed. Two criminals. But they also knew one other thing. Everyone, no matter how good they are, has someone they want to bring back to life.“Oh, look at this.”Qwentin lifted his device slightly, the screen reflecting light onto his face. Duskvale had been abandoned. The streets that were usually bustling were now deserted, leaving only silent buildings and the wind blowing without witnesses. Not many figures were visible. Harvey's men had completed their task neatly. However, for Harvey himself, the situation was far from good. The poison in his body had not yet subsided. Every time he tried to exert himself, his body refused—his muscles felt heavy, his strength never gathering. The poison was too strong, clearly not ordinary poison.Harvey jumped onto the roof of the building and stood at the edge. In the distance, the sun had shifted to orange, its light stretching between the empty buildings. He took a deep breath, forcing his body to be alert. The promised time was almost up—only minutes before they arrived.Soon after, the roar of propellers broke the silence. A helicopter descended low. Qwentin and Liam jumped out, landing right in front of Harvey. The smiles on their faces were effortless, full of satisfaction.
