“What the hell is he? So annoying!” Whitley snorted while averting her gaze.

Valencia herself was still stunned by the incident. Her head was having a hard time processing what she had just seen. In her mind, she kept wondering. “Harvey? Harvey Wilder? He drove that expensive and rare car?”

Until the car pulled away, Valencia's eyes were still glued to the BMW. She swallowed. “Whitley, you saw that, right? Harvey is riding in that car.”

Whitley immediately glanced sarcastically at the woman next to him. “Valencia, he's a poor man! He's also very useless and annoying. Don't ever mention that name in front of me again. Remember, he got us kicked out of this jewelry store.”

Valencia immediately realized that. The look on her face instantly changed. “I almost forgot about him. He's a bastard!”

Whitley sighed. “Ah, never mind! Thinking about that guy makes me want to throw up. There's no point in thinking about that bastard.”

Valencia let out a long breath. Today's plan to go shopping was ruined. In fact, she was getting humiliated. If other people knew, then her self-esteem would be tarnished. Valencia wanted to quickly forget this incident.

Whitley was thinking the same thing. She picked up her cell phone and called someone.

Valencia tilted her head. “Who are you calling?”

Whitley glanced over while raising one eyebrow higher. “Andreas. It's been a shitty day. I want to take Andreas to do some things to take the edge off. Want to come?”

Valencia let out a big smile. She loved how Whitley could read her mind so well. Entertainment was something she needed right now. Never mind what just happened at the jewelry store, she was going to make herself happy today.

Valencia enthusiastically nodded her head. “Of course!”

“Hello?” Andreas' voice rang out as the phone connected.

The smile on Whitley's face instantly broke out. “Oh, Andreas! I can finally hear your voice. Don't you know how much I've missed you? So, how about we meet this afternoon? We can go to a club or some other fun place. Let's enjoy the evening together.”

Whitley said this while twirling the ends of her hair. Hoping that Andreas would pick her up right away. Then make her forget about the embarrassing events that had just happened.

However, instead of approval, she received a yell from Andreas. “What? Don't you know what the fuck is going on here?”

Whitley furrowed her brows, her face instantly changing. “Why are you yelling at me like this?”

Whitley heard the sound of Andreas breathing fast and heavy. “There was a letter from the police all of a sudden. They said they were going to arrest me. What the hell is this? Why are they targeting me?”

Right after Andreas said that, Whitley heard the faint sound of police sirens. Suddenly, her eyes widened. “Andreas? What is it?”

Andreas shouted back. “Ah! They're here!”

Whitley also heard the sound of a loud slap, then the sound of a dropped cell phone. Faintly, the voice of Andreas's father could be heard. “What are you doing, you son of a bitch! Look, our company is in trouble!”

“I'm sorry Papa! Please don't hit me!”

Whitley became worried. “Hello, Andreas? Andreas!”

However, Andreas did not reply. There were only noises of things falling and doors opening. There was probably something loud going on in there.

Then, there was a shout. “Don't move! We have you under arrest! Andreas Brown, you have committed a number of crimes!”

“Papa! Help me, Papa!”

Hearing that cry, Whitley immediately hung up the phone. Her forehead was sweating from the shocking sounds. Her face became very pale and his gaze was blank.

Whitley only realized when she had been patted and called by Valencia several times.

“Whitley! Hey!”

Whitley turned her head slowly. Her eyebrows drew down and her breathing became heavy. “I didn't hear that wrong, did I, Valencia? My boyfriend was arrested by the police...”

Suddenly Valencia swallowed hard. Her eyes bulged like they were going to pop out. “Huh? That's impossible, Whitley! He's Andreas Brown. How could anyone dare to arrest him. You must have heard wrong.”

Whitley shook her head. “But I heard it firsthand! Andreas was panicking and the sirens were blaring! Something must have happened there.”

Valencia was at a loss for words. Andreas Brown was a person that no one should be able to touch. What kind of person could make Andreas Brown a police target? Strange.

Whitley nervously pulled Valencia's hand. “Please take me there! I need to make sure right away!”

Meanwhile, back at the house, Harvey was sitting back and relaxing as he opened the newspaper.

Jordan approached and stood beside Harvey and tilted his head. “General, who reads the newspaper in the morning like this? Times have changed now. It's easier for people to find news on the internet. Don't you have a cell phone to do that too?”

Harvey gave a small smile. “That's a common thing for me.”

Jordan wrinkled his forehead. It seemed Jordan could not quite read the demeanor of the General he was talking to. Indeed, most geniuses always had behaviors out of the ordinary. Was this one of them?

Harvey turned the page of the newspaper. “What about the construction of the hospital?”

Jordan frowned slightly. “Oh, that hospital construction you ordered? The construction is going very smoothly. Many experts were brought in according to your request.”

Harvey nodded. “You did well.”

Jordan smiled proudly. “Of course, General. Would you like to see it in person? Some of the doctors are in there doing some things.”

Harvey glanced over. He saw Jordan's proud smile. “So some projects are already in the works?”

Jordan nodded his head. “That's right, General. Everything is in accordance with the orders you gave. Soon the hospital will be in use and will benefit the community.”

Harvey nodded happily. “Good. Give me the doctors' data.”

Jordan picked up a tablet PC and handed it to Harvey. Harvey carefully scrolled through the doctors' data. Then his eyes fell on a female doctor who had pigtails and a serious face.

Harvey narrowed his eyes slightly. “She's...”

Jordan glanced at the female doctor's profile data. “She is a doctor who has been on the battlefield, General.”

Harvey nodded. “Exactly what I wanted.”

Harvey placed the tablet on the desk. Then he stood up and stepped past Jordan. He picked up a knife near the fruit basket.

Jordan wrinkled his forehead. “What's wrong, General.”

Harvey without hesitation thrust the knife into his arm. Then with a little pressure he made the wound into a rip. A deep cut that could have damaged his arm's nerve tissue.

Jordan glared and his breath caught. “General! What are you doing?”

Harvey calmly turned to Jordan. “No need to shout. You're overreacting, Jordan.”

And maybe... hope.Harvey's other followers were just as silent. Not a single one spoke up in defense or rebuttal. They didn't need to. Their silence reflected a deep-seated conviction—a belief in the man who had shaped them. They knew exactly how Harvey chose someone to train. It wasn't random. That person had to have great potential—a hidden light that only those sharp enough to see it could recognize. The training Harvey provided was also different from that of ordinary soldiers. His technique of using ki energy was efficient, going straight to the core of power, without any frills. In a much shorter time, his students could exceed limits that many people considered impossible.Even Vanessa Reid—who had only been training under his guidance for three months—had reached a level of power that left experts speechless with di

Don't tell me you think people here will swallow your nonsense hook, line, and sinker?”Whispers began to creep among the audience like sly snakes. Some of them moved closer to each other, hiding their suspicions behind hands covering their mouths.“Huh? Seriously...”A man in a dark blue suit bowed his head slightly, but his gaze was clearly fixed on Harvey with undisguised hatred.“Tsk... look at the way he walks in. As if he still owns this stage.”A noblewoman hissed as she clutched her fan tightly, almost breaking it.“This proves that he is not willing to be replaced. No wonder he never really wanted to give up the seat of the God of War.”The cynical tone of an officer was so loud even though he was whispering.“All this time, he always said it was for the people.
