Chapter hundred fifty six

As everyone filtered out of the room, Orton closed the door behind him and then grabbed a chair from the corner to sit directly across from him.

Christian was still flexing his wrist, his hands a little numb from the tight restraints. He could not believe that he'd dared get into the tunnel without any backup. He hated to think what would have happened if Orton hadn't known his family, his father.

"What do you want with Otec?" Orton asked him after a minute of just staring at him.

“I need them to sign a contract with the Robinson family, there's a lot at stake," Christian explained, he didn't want to sound desperate by giving him the details, he'd learned long ago that people couldn't be trusted with any information that made one look vulnerable.

"I don't think Otec wants to partner with the Robinson family," Orton said, there was a decisiveness in his tone, "And for good reason too." He added.

"But...you said you would have me, you said you'd give me whatever I asked," Christian
