"Welcome, Mr.Demian."

Two guards respectfully greeted a man in an expensive suit who had just gotten out of a car. It was their boss.

"Where is he?" Demian asked coldly.

"He's inside. He's been making so much noise that he's overwhelmed us."

"Why don't you just give him a lethal injection? Isn't he old?"

Niel listened silently. How unfortunate for the old lady who had to suffer kidnapping for refusing to be evacuated from the location where B&F Corporation wanted to carry out project construction. If she had not been stubborn, the old lady's fate would not have been as bad as it is now. That old lady just didn't know how terrible money and power are. These two things can make people lose their dignity and even their lives.

"Troublesome!" Demian threw away the remaining half of the cigar. He then reached out to the side, asking Niel to hand him the firearm. "I hate anything that hinders my work. Such a trivial matter still requires me to intervene. You're useless!"

"Mr, can't you just let that grandmother live?" asked Niel compassionately. Even so, he still handed over the weapon requested by Mr.Demian.

"Then you'll be the one to die in her place?" said Demian sarcastically. His sharp eyes were immediately fixed on Niel who seemed to want to protect. "Just so you know. I don't mind killing you at all. Want to try?"

"No thanks. I need to stay alive so I can serve you longer." Niel swallowed saliva. Once he said yes, his life would be lost. He knew very well that Mr.Demian never messed with his words.

Demian clucked. He was in a bad mood, plus a report had come in that the old lady who was currently being held captive had opened her voice to the media. The old lady said that the boss of B&F Corporation had acted arbitrarily by threatening and intimidating her. Also mentioned that the company refused to compensate for the land that they claimed was officially theirs. Hearing this, of course, Demian's emotions immediately overflowed. He then ordered the guards to immediately kidnap the grandmother and keep her in a secluded place.

"I don't know why people like to find trouble with me. Don't they ever read the news in the media?"

"She's just an old crone who was instigated by the opposing party, Mr.Demian. Obviously, she won't know who you are," Niel replied as he followed Mr.Demian into the ruined building.

"The opposing party?" One of Demian's eyebrows shot up. "So it wasn't purely the grandmother's own initiative?"

"From what I've heard, it was. And it's also very unlikely that there would be reporters suddenly covering if there wasn't a mastermind directing them."

"Oh, so someone wants to play games with me. Alright, I'll play along. I happen to be in a very bad mood. A little play is likely to cheer me up."

Niel nodded in understanding. He immediately contacted the special security group to arrange a strategy for Mr.Demian to play. After that Niel caught up with his boss who was now standing in front of the old lady whose hands and feet were tied with ropes.

"M-Mr., please let me go. I...I'm just being ordered around. I didn't really want to say anything bad about your company. Please forgive me. Please," she begged while crying. Her old body seemed to tremble between fear and pain.

"Who ordered you?" asked Demian as he pulled the trigger of the gun. He then pointed it at her head. "You better answer soon or I'll put a bullet in your head. You're tired of living, aren't you?"

"No, Mr. Please forgive me. Okay okay, I'll tell the truth. But please keep that gun away from me. I'm scared."

It's not Demian if he can be easily negotiated with. Regardless of the look of fear on her face, he kept the gun pointed at her head. Niel and the guards who witnessed this could only stand by and watch. How could they dare to disturb the anger of a famously cold-blooded and unforgiving Demian Stewart. Dare to offend him, it meant death. Game over.

"Last night two men came to visit my house. They then threatened to kill my grandson if I refused the orders they said. Because I was pressured, I couldn't help but obey and follow their directions. Then the next day journalists came to cover the news. Under their threats, I was forced to tell a lie. I was threatened, Mr. Please believe me!" explained the grandmother fearfully. Her wrinkled face looked deathly pale as the gun came closer to her head. "M-Mr, I've told you the truth. Can you keep this gun away from me? I'm... I'm scared."

Dor

Blood splashed on Demian's face after he shot the old lady in the head. He was silent for a while as he looked at the body that was floundering on the floor. Pity? Don't expect it. That kind of feeling would never be possible for Demian. Whether it was parents or children, if they dared to interfere with his business, they would be finished. There was no mercy.

"Mr, here," Niel said, handing Mr.Demian a handkerchief. The tail of her eyes glanced at the dead body of the grandmother with her head crushed. It was tragic. And this was the end for anyone who dared to provoke their boss. A horrible death.

"This grandmother is lucky to be able to breathe for so long after demonizing B&F Corporation. I count as kind, don't I?" asked Demian with a faint smile. Still not satisfied, he shot her in the head again until it was completely shattered. "I'm trying so hard to maintain the company's good name, she just goes around saying bad things. Even if it was done under someone's intimidation, I still can't accept it."

No one dared to speak up as Demian vented his frustration. Even Niel, who was his assistant, chose to remain silent. It's not a good thing to open your voice now. That was digging his own grave.

"Throw this corpse into the middle of the sea. Make sure none of the fish there starve!" Demian's order was undeniable.

"Yes, sir."

Demian turned around. Before that he wiped the tip of the weapon and kissed it. And that action always managed to make the guards who saw shudder in horror. Demian deliberately showed this with the aim that none of his people dared to resist. As a leader, Demian clearly must have authority. Other people must not see him as weak. Must submit to the orders and rules he makes.

"Let's go. I need to change my dirty clothes!"

"To a hotel or apartment?" asked Niel.

"Company." Demian stepped outside. He didn't care as her corpse was put into a sack and dragged past him. "Useless trash. It was good of the company to offer her a huge compensation, but she chose to die like this. What a fool!"

Niel quickly opened the car door and bowed as Mr.Demian got inside. Afterwards he informed the guards that their boss wanted to return to the company.

"What about Mr.Khiel?"

"Just finish him right away. After that you guys come see me. There's a gift to be sent to their company," Niel instructed. Without having to wait for orders from Mr.Demian, he already knew what to do.

"Alright. Any other orders?"

"Not for now. I'll let you know if Mr.Demian wants anything else."

"Okay. Then you'll have to excuse us."

Niel nodded. He got into the car and drove straight away towards the company along with a few guard cars behind.

"Dad, how are you?"There was no reaction from Demian when Gwen, his son, said hello. He remained focused on the laptop screen, busy checking his work. "Is my arrival a bother?" Gwen asked disappointedly. Five years abroad and only this morning's return to her homeland had left her with a deep sense of longing for her father. However, Gwen had to be satisfied with swallowing back the longing when she found her father's very cold response. Disappointed, but still trying to be patient. "This morning mom said you weren't feeling well. How are you doing now? Is it much better?""I'm busy. Don't talk too much," Demian said in a very flat tone. He was too lazy to bother with this kid's questions."All these years we haven't said hello to each other, is there no longing in your heart? I'm your son, Dad. I even wish .... ""Enough!" Demian snorted harshly. He reluctantly looked at Gwen who just kept talking. "Don't ever expect anything from me because it will never materialize.""Why?""No co

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday. Happy birthday to Gwen. Yeyyyyyyyy!!"Cheers of applause filled the front yard of the Stewart family home. Today is Gwen's one-year-old birthday celebration. Gwen Loreg Stewart. The name given to her by Dylan. It was a great fortune for Rosalind and Demian to have a son. And twelve months have passed with great joy. Dylan is now an art activist whose name has been recognized by many people. Katty and Morgan have a harmonious relationship with mutual love and affection. As for Rosalind, she spends her time taking care of her only son who is so cute and adorable. Then Demian .... "Sir, it's Gwen's birthday. Are you sure you don't want to go home?" asked Niel while looking at his boss who was enjoying a cigar. Making it through the big storm did not make this man willing to trust others. His boss was still suffering from a crisis of trust. It was even worse now that he was suspicious of his o

"Mr.Demian, congratulations on Ms.Rosalind's pregnancy. Soon B&F Corporation and the Stewart family will have a successor. You are very lucky,""That's right. You are an extraordinarily lucky man. Having such a beautiful and fertile wife, the goddess of fortune is always on your side. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why you are so secretive about your relationship. It must be because you already know that Ms.Rosalind has a very good hand line, right? Hahahaha,"Compliment after compliment Demian continued to receive from his business colleagues. However, these compliments did not make him feel happy. On the contrary, Demian felt threatened when these people kept mentioning the heir. (Their words sound like mockery that I have created my own competition. This is not true. How can a baby who is only as big as a corn kernel already be hailed as an heir? Me! I am the true heir. It's also thanks to my hard work that the company is number one in the country. Cihhh!) Niel secretly watche

After weathering quite a storm, the Stewart family finally got the news that excited me. Rosalind was positively pregnant. This made many people rejoice at the good news. "Finally our darling will soon have a grandchild," Katty said as she wiped away tears. She was so moved that she cried knowing that Rosalind was pregnant. "Yes, dear. I never thought that at my old and sickly age, God would still give me the opportunity to experience the joy of being a grandfather. Our family is truly blessed," Morgan said, equally moved. "Don't talk like that. It's only your physique that looks old, but you're actually still very handsome. That's why I can never move on to another heart. You're still the best that's ever stopped by my heart."Katty's answer just now made Morgan unable to help but smile. Since the incident some time ago, he decided to just forgive her. Because no matter what, the misunderstanding that happened was because she couldn't be assertive. Thinking too much about Demian's

  • Chapter 146

In a fairly dark room, there sat a silent man by the window. There was no visible expression on his face. One thing was for sure, this man was caught up in a thought. (Am I really like this because of the trauma of my mother's death? But how did Dylan know that? He wasn't even born when mom died. Am I mistaken?) Four days after his fight with Dylan, Demian hadn't shown up at home or at the company. His heart was too troubled, confused about what was really going on. Dylan's words made such an impression on him that he couldn't close his eyes for a moment. As a result, these four days Demian has transformed into a zombie who lacks blood. Drrt drrttThe cell phone on the table vibrated, but Demian remained in his position. He was ignorant. The person calling was probably Niel, so it was predictable what the man would ask. "What exactly happened to me? Why do I seem to have lost my zest for life? For days, I've been living in a dark place. How could a Demian break the discipline to w

  • Chapter 145

"Sir, please don't be stubborn. Your condition is still very weak. Stay here and let the guards do the work. Okay?""Don't get in my way. Dylan is in danger, his life is at stake. How can I just lie back and relax when my son's life is on the line?!" shouted Morgan in frustration. The IV tube in his hand had been forcibly removed, causing blood to splatter on the floor and blanket. There was no more pain, no more weakness. All that remained was fear and worry. "Get out of the way. Let me get out of here. Demian's temper is very bad. Only I can prevent him from killing Dylan. Please get out of the way!"Knock knock knock"Dad, I... gosh, what's going on here?"Rosalind, who had guessed that her father-in-law must have made a mess after hearing the news that Demian wanted to kill Dylan, decided to come to the hospital immediately. And sure enough. Arriving in this room she found that her father-in-law was throwing a tantrum and rebelling to be let go. Immediately, he played a charade. N
