Silas threw the phone to the side, placing his head back on the chair. He didn’t say a word; it wasn’t what anyone would want to imagine.

“Should I sink them?” Austin muttered; he was looking at his phone.

“You know, it’s one word, and I will make sure that the Forrest family will understand what role you played in their lives.”

Austin was looking at Silas; his face held nothing like a grudge.

“No, leave them.” Silas didn't want anything that would make him even think of Lauren and her family.

“I will let fate handle her, and you know there is no way for her to walk away from it for long.” He had a calm face; it was like he had erased her from his mind.

Austin smiled; he turned to his phone. His brows raised when he looked at what was in front of him.

“Well, if you were not going to do anything, then just know she is about to be hit hard by the Holt family; news spreads fast— even when the Prince of Ash is no longer protecting them.”

Silas rolled his eyes; he looked out the window. “I never liked that name; it itches.”

“So you like your other titles, oh great elusive one; which is it? Hidden Ace, or the Masked Emperor of Sintril.”

“I like neither of them.” Silas quipped.

Austin chuckled; he looked down back to his phone. “Well, it doesn't matter what name you like. You protected them for too long; now they have to face the consequences. The Holts are one rowdy set of people in the underworld.”

“Don't worry, Lauren can handle it. After all, her deadweight is gone.” He said as he looked down at his phone again; this time he saw a message.

“Austin, can you take me to the clinic now?!”

Austin turned to the driver; he tapped him on the shoulder.

“The Clinic on the East of Sintril!”

The driver made a sharp turn as they zoomed off to the clinic. Austin turned to look at Silas as he was fixated on his phone.

“I thought you should be getting ready for the party tonight; why the clinic?”

“Rose messaged me; I will have to deal with two things there.” Silas put his phone into his pocket; slowly, he turned to Austin. “Don't worry, I will be fine. I can't let someone die in that clinic.”

Silas was looking down at his watch, sighing. He looked back up, trying to brace his mind for what was waiting for him.

They got to the clinic, Silas got down, and was about to head in.

Austin poked his head out to say something whilst smiling. “Are you sure you don't want me to handle the Forrest Corporation? You know I could—”

Silas shot a deadly gaze; Austin’s words were cut off, and he didn’t say anything else.

“See you at the party then…”

He said as his driver fired up the engine and drove off, bystanders were looking at them, and they were surprised to see Austin there with someone like Silas.

“Wasn't that the infamous dancing dragon? What is he doing here with someone like this man?”

“Might be doing a favor for someone who knows.”

Silas walked into the clinic; his eyes met those of a blonde lady standing by the door.

“Sir, I am happy you came early.” She walked up to him, a worried expression on her face.

“Rose, please tell me what exactly happened.” Silas asked, not stopping as they made their way into the operating room in the clinic.

“These people, they came and said that they wanted to heal their children. They had a problem; it was hard for any of us to even find out what was going on with them.”

Rose swallowed; she continued. “Mr. Johnson came in and administered a drug to them, and they got worse. He began saying that this clinic wasn't the best thing for them, and they should have been taken to a better hospital. He said, You are nothing but a fraud.”

Silas smiled; they were at the door of the room. “Thank you, Rose, that was all I needed to know.”

He pushed the door open; he could see five people there, two beautiful ladies. One had a wolf cut with brown hair, while the other had long red hair. There were two guards and then Mr. Johnson.

“Oh, he’s here,” Johnson muttered. He rolled his eyes as he turned the other way.

Silas didn't even say a word to the people there; he walked to the children on the stretcher.

‘Twins.’ Silas said as he stretched his hand to examine them; one of the guards held him back.

“Who in the world do you think you are?” The guard said, looking at Silas.

Silas looked at the guard, and he could see the look on his face. “I am the one going to save the children in front of me if you could kindly let go of my hand.”

“What makes you think you can do it?” The girl with the brown haircut spoke up; her voice was uneasy and laced with worry.

Silas turned to her.

“Johnson here said that they would be better off at a hospital.”

“True, they would.” Silas smiled; he then turned back to the children. “That would be if they make it to the hospital alive. I know Johnson is a professional and all, but there are some things men like him can't see.”

“What do you mean, Silas?” Johnson spoke up; he sounded angry about the words Silas used. “I know what I am saying. Those kids would be better off with a real medical professional. That is not a sickness you can cure.”

The brown-haired girl turned to the other one. “Sister, can you hear it? I told you that this place was a bad idea, but you decided to follow Bubba's words and come here.”

The red-haired girl gave her sister a silencing stare. She then turned to Silas.

“Mr. Silas, is it?”

“Yes, Ma’am.” Silas smiled.

“Are you certain you can save them?” The red-haired girl was looking at Silas with a determined look on her face.

“You have my word, and oh, if I do heal him, could you do me a favor and lock that idiot beside you up?” Silas smiled.

Johnson was petrified; he turned to the red-haired lady.

“You have a deal, but if you fail and something happens to them, I will not spare you…”

Silas smiled as he bowed his head. “You have my word.”

“How on earth did Silas get his hands on the Eon Diamond?” Hillary was looking at Lauren, but her daughter’s attention was fixed on Silas. Lauren stared at who used to be by her side, now casually handing a gift to another woman in front of her. “Silas, what is the meaning of this?” Lauren managed to force some words out of her mouth; she was looking at him hang the necklace on Noelle’s neck. Silas, surprised to hear his name being called like that, turned to look at Lauren. “Is anything the problem, Ms. Forrest?” He was looking at her, but instead of the soft, calm, loving gaze Lauren was used to, all she got was a distant, cold stare; it was empty and void of anything that looked like emotion. “What do you think you are doing now?!” She moved close to them, looking at Silas with what looked like the sound of pity. “I know you must think that I would take you back if you do all of this, but the only thing you are going to do is make things worse, so I would advise that—” “And

Griffin Peak Hotel… In the executive suite, Silas could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand.Silas turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.”Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Silas. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Silas turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You should se

Silas joined Noelle in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Silas was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Silas broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Noelle, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Noelle turned to Silas, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Silas was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put his

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Silas. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Noelle walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Silas, and his anger boiled more. Silas raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good—” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Silas with pure rage. “I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Silas was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be remov

Silas turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side— no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something. The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination. His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck—‘Black veins.’Silas touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks. ‘Since when did this get to Sintril?’ Silas could recognize what was making the children sick. He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms. The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Silas was doing or how he was going to help the twins. “Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the red-h
