Silas was looking at the workers; they were shocked to see that he wasn't even scared to touch someone who was an heir in Sintril.

“I could have warned you to stop, but you wanted to show just how powerful your daddy’s money makes you.”

Silas cleaned his fists as he turned to walk away. The moment he turned, there were guards standing there with their stun guns ready to shoot.

“Stand down!”

One of them yelled. He was looking at Silas, and he was sure that nothing was going to keep the man back from hurting anyone else.

Silas rolled his eyes as he looked at the men in front of him. He had an empty gaze on his face.

“Why are all of you suddenly in the way?” He asked, his tone showed he was trying to keep it as civil as possible.

“When he was embarrassing me, you didn't see it?”

“We won't tell you again, stand down or….”

“Or nothing would happen!”

A voice came from the outside, and someone stepped into the building with a smile on his face.

“Took you long enough….” Silas had a smile on his face; he turned to look at the person coming. It was a tall man standing over six feet tall with beautiful blonde hair.

“I am sorry if I wasted your time, sir…”

The man smiled as he bowed his head to Silas. Everyone was in shock when they saw the man bowing to Silas like that.

All the workers were shocked; they didn't know why a man of that caliber would even think of bowing his head to Silas, who was to them a mere nobody who only followed Lauren for her wealth and name.

“Hey, isn't that the Legendary Dancing Dragon?”

“Yeah, that’s him.”

“Austin Krigg, a man so powerful he is known as one of the top elites in Sintril.”

“So why in the world is he bowing his head to that nobody?”

Silas slowly walked past the security guards holding the stun guns; he didn't even act like they were dangerous.

“Don’t bother yelling; these bastards won’t have the balls to pull any of their triggers. And if they did, then it would be the end of them.”

The security guards were surprised when they saw that Silas was not even scared of them or what they would do. He walked gracefully to Austin with a smile on his face.

“Shall we?” He said as he walked out of Forrest Corporation, not looking back.

“Right behind you!” Austin turned and started walking away with Silas.

Lauren and Hillary had heard the noise from the office; they walked out to see the commotion.

Lauren saw the security guards trying to help Keith stand up.

“Oh my God!” Hillary rushed to Keith’s side; she wasn't sure what had happened.

“Who did this to you?” She said as she helped Keith stand properly.

Keith winced once they touched him; it was an excruciating pain he felt.

“That bastard Silas, he was the one who did this to me.” He grunted as he looked at Lauren; she was still shocked to see him in that state.

“Silas?” She raised a brow; it wasn't even clear to her how her ex-husband would do such a thing.

“This isn't right. Are you sure that…”

“Lauren, I think he stole from you. There were two golden tickets that were given to the high-ranking families of the city. I only wanted to know how he got them, but then he snapped and attacked me.”

Keith grunted in pain; he was looking at Lauren and Hillary, trying to make sure that he got their sympathy.

Lauren was still shocked to see what Silas could do; she stood there trying to put her mind at ease.

“Lauren, don't tell me you are still thinking of what he did.” Hillary snapped her out of the train of thought.

Lauren turned to her mother, still confused about what she was meant to be doing.

“He did this to get back at you, and I know that those tickets must be something that was sent to you.” Hillary wasn't going to let her daughter forgive Silas. “He’s nothing but a brute; he needs to be dealt with!”

Lauren couldn't stand there and watch something like this; she was going to get to the bottom of things.

Pulling out her phone, she didn't want to waste time.

“You better have an explanation...”

At the back of the Porsche, Silas sat beside Austin, trying to get his head to calm down.

“Some women, they act like they know it all.” Austin was smiling; looking out the window, he could tell that Silas was a bit angry.

Silas was trying to put his mind on something else; he was pulled back when his phone began ringing violently.

‘What in the world?’

He looked at it and saw Lauren's ID; he didn't know what she had to say. He picked it up, and even before he could place the phone close to his ear,.

“Silas, how dare you?! Come back here and return what you stole!” Lauren's voice blared through the speaker. Her yelling caught Silas off guard; he didn't know what she was even yelling about.

“You took the tickets sent to us, and you took them. Not only that, you decided to beat up Keith just because he wanted to take it from you calmly ?”

Silas understood what was going on; his facial expression went sour when he heard what she had in mind.

“I didn't steal anything; I only wanted to—”

Lauren’s anger flared. “You’re trying to deny it? The entire Forrest Corporation saw you, and you still want to deny it?”

Her accusatory tone made Silas a bit cold. “So this is how low you think of me? Well, I shouldn't have expected more from a woman who saw me as a nobody.”

Lauren was silent for a while, almost like she was hesitating. “Look, Silas, I am sorry if I hurt your pride or anything, but what I want you to do is come back here and apologize to Keith and then hand over the tickets you took.”

Silas couldn't even help but scoff; he went from being cold to irritated. “Even now, you defend the bratty daddy's boy. Well, what was I expecting? You saw me as a nobody and nothing more.”

“Silas I am not playing—”

“Listen here, Ms. Forrest, I was trying to be polite with you in terms of our past relationship, but it seems that it won't work with you. So I would advise that you don't call this line again, and oh, do take your beloved bratty man-child to the hospital. They can fix his dislocated arm.”

Lauren was furious; she was about to lash out again. “Silas, this is not—”

Beep!

Her words were cut short when Silas ended the call; she stared at her phone in disbelief.

“I can’t believe that man hung up on me.” She muttered, looking at the phone.

“A brute, a big one, I tell you!” Hillary yelled from behind that they were waiting for the ambulance to show up. “It is a good thing you ended things with him when you did; he would have shown you his true colors now you are on top.”

Lauren was looking at the phone, disappointed that Silas could behave that way. She didn’t bother herself; putting her phone down, she turned to the door.

“So be it…”

“How on earth did Silas get his hands on the Eon Diamond?” Hillary was looking at Lauren, but her daughter’s attention was fixed on Silas. Lauren stared at who used to be by her side, now casually handing a gift to another woman in front of her. “Silas, what is the meaning of this?” Lauren managed to force some words out of her mouth; she was looking at him hang the necklace on Noelle’s neck. Silas, surprised to hear his name being called like that, turned to look at Lauren. “Is anything the problem, Ms. Forrest?” He was looking at her, but instead of the soft, calm, loving gaze Lauren was used to, all she got was a distant, cold stare; it was empty and void of anything that looked like emotion. “What do you think you are doing now?!” She moved close to them, looking at Silas with what looked like the sound of pity. “I know you must think that I would take you back if you do all of this, but the only thing you are going to do is make things worse, so I would advise that—” “And

Griffin Peak Hotel… In the executive suite, Silas could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand.Silas turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.”Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Silas. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Silas turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You should se

Silas joined Noelle in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Silas was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Silas broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Noelle, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Noelle turned to Silas, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Silas was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put his

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Silas. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Noelle walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Silas, and his anger boiled more. Silas raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good—” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Silas with pure rage. “I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Silas was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be remov

Silas turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side— no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something. The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination. His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck—‘Black veins.’Silas touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks. ‘Since when did this get to Sintril?’ Silas could recognize what was making the children sick. He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms. The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Silas was doing or how he was going to help the twins. “Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the red-h

Silas threw the phone to the side, placing his head back on the chair. He didn’t say a word; it wasn’t what anyone would want to imagine. “Should I sink them?” Austin muttered; he was looking at his phone. “You know, it’s one word, and I will make sure that the Forrest family will understand what role you played in their lives.” Austin was looking at Silas; his face held nothing like a grudge. “No, leave them.” Silas didn't want anything that would make him even think of Lauren and her family. “I will let fate handle her, and you know there is no way for her to walk away from it for long.” He had a calm face; it was like he had erased her from his mind. Austin smiled; he turned to his phone. His brows raised when he looked at what was in front of him. “Well, if you were not going to do anything, then just know she is about to be hit hard by the Holt family; news spreads fast— even when the Prince of Ash is no longer protecting them.” Silas rolled his eyes; he looked out the wi
