Silas turned to the children; his eyes were closed, almost like he was praying. His hands were by his side— no one knew what he was doing, but they could see that he was up to something.

The moment he opened his eyes, they had a jade glow, but it was clear that no one could notice it. He turned to the boys in front of him and began the examination.

His eyes went through their body suddenly, he paused when he spotted something on their neck—‘Black veins.’

Silas touched the vein, and he could feel that there was something off about the vein and the way it was on both their necks.

‘Since when did this get to Sintril?’ Silas could recognize what was making the children sick.

He took a scalpel, and he made a small cut on both their arms.

The brown-haired girl was uneasy watching them; she didn't know what Silas was doing or how he was going to help the twins.

“Sister, I don’t know how this man is going to be able to save them. He is acting like a madman.” She was looking at the red-haired lady.

Johnson uneasily turned to the sisters; he had a weird smile on his face.

“Listen to your sister, please, Miss—”

“We will give him a chance; after all, he has his life at stake here.” The red-haired lady smiled at her sister. She turned to Johnson. “Now, you, Mr. Johnson, why the rush? Don't tell me you're scared....”

Johnson smiled as he turned to look at Silas and the children. “Me, scared? There is no way I would be scared of anything.”

The red-haired woman turned back to Silas. “Fine then, we will wait.”

Silas had drawn blood from the twins; he was looking at them. He took something that looked more like a pill and broke it into the cuts he made.

His eyes were still glowing; it was like he was waiting for something.

Suddenly, the black veins appeared everywhere on the children’s bodies. They got paler as they slowly started convulsing.

The brown-haired girl started panicking as she held her sister.

“He's killing them!”

“Young Mistress, you shouldn't let this madman continue with what he is doing; he will kill the boys,” Johnson spoke up; he was trying to see if he would get something to happen.

The red-haired lady was looking at Silas; he wasn't fazed, not even one bit, and he was still working on the children. So she wasn't going to panic or risk cutting things halfway.

“Let’s give him time.”

Back with Silas, he was looking at the children, and a faint smile could be seen on his face.

‘What sick animal did this to children?’

He turned to Rose, who was standing there with his bag; he opened his palm.

She brought out a small case and handed it to him. Silas opened it and brought out 14 crystal acu-needles. Without wasting time, he placed them on different points on the children’s bodies.

Johnson scoffed when he saw what Silas was doing; he didn't know what he would call it.

“Why don't you stop this already and give up, Silas? Those kids are going to die!” He said.

Silas paid no heed to the man; he was still looking at the children. He placed the last four needles on their bodies, looking at them.

Almost like a miracle, the black veins began fading, and the children’s pale skin began turning back to normal. The black blood seen in the vein began flowing out of the cuts Silas had made.

Silas took two shots from the box; there was a vial marked there where he took something and injected it into their bodies one by one.

Silas stood still, looking at the children, his focus on them since they hadn't made a noise.

Johnson had a smile on his face; he didn't want to show his happiness, knowing that he had won.

“I told you, Silas, let them take those children to the

hospital, but you decided that you would—”

Suddenly, one of the twins let out a sneeze, and the other followed with a cough.

Silas had a smile on his face, looking at the children, slowly turning to the people behind him.

“They will be fine; they are currently out of danger.”

Johnson was shaking; his body couldn't control itself.

‘How did he heal them?’ Fear had consumed him; there was no way anyone would have told him that Silas was going to be able to save the kids.

Silas took out the acu-pins and placed them back in the box.

“Rose, the moment they open their eyes. Please give them vitamin supplements and make sure they have something sweet to eat. That nasty poison leaves a bitter taste in the victims' mouths. Since they are kids, I wouldn't want them to suffer.”

He smiled as he looked at Rose; the young lady nodded her head.

Silas turned to the sisters as he walked closer.

“Did you say poison?” The brown-haired sister asked; she stared at Silas.

Silas nodded his head. “Yes, it is a bioweapon, an illegal poison made here in our beloved continent of Kaguna, designed to destroy one’s body slowly. It only got to this level because of their age; older people like us would have died silently.”

He smiled as he looked at the brown-haired girl; the young lady was flustered and embarrassed because of the way she had yelled at Silas earlier.

“I am so sorry for my attitude; I was only worried about the twins.”

Silas smiled as he bowed his head. “I understand; anyone would be worried when they see their loved one close to death’s door.”

He turned to the red-haired lady, who had a smile on her face.

“Mr. Silas, I knew I was intrigued when I saw your unwavering composure.” She smiled as she stretched out her hand.

Silas took the hand; he kissed it slightly. “Well, it is not professional for someone like me to panic in situations like this. Ms—”

“Prince, Noelle Prince.” She smiled.

Silas was surprised; he looked at her, then at her sister. “I wonder why the great Prince Dynasty decided to come to this clinic instead of a hospital.”

Noelle let out a sigh; she turned to her sister. Before turning back to Silas. “Someone close to us said we should bring them here.”

Silas nodded; he didn't know who it was, but he clearly knew the person knew him well enough to tell them to come to his clinic.

“Well, whoever it was has a good heart. He saved those kids from—” Silas’s words were cut short when he noticed that Johnson was trying to slip away through all the noise.

“That wasn't the deal, Mr. Johnson.” He smiled, causing Noelle and her sister to turn.

Johnson paused in his tracks; he was sweating. He forced on a smile, trying to make sure that he wouldn't let them see him nervous.

“I was just leaving; there was no need for me to remain here after all this.” He stuttered. “C’mon, Silas, don't you think it is a bit much to have me locked up for something that small?”

Silas nodded; he was looking at Johnson with a smile on his face.

“I know, but you see, the main reason why I wanted to have you locked up isn't because you called me a fraud. I know you have been bitter since I was given this clinic, and you have been looking for ways to make sure I would be thrown under the bus.”

Johnson didn't want him to finish; he raised his hand, trying to speak. “That isn't the—”

“I know, I know. But if you were so petty as to inject children with a dosage that their little fragile bodies couldn't handle, then. Heaven knows what you are ready to do to an adult to make sure you prove a point.”

Noelle and her sister turned to Johnson; they were shocked to hear that.

“He did what?!” Both said in unison.

Johnson swallowed hard, his body drenched in sweat.

“What did you think I wouldn't notice?” Silas had a villainous smile on his face. “Come on, even you should learn to hide the empty vial after use.”

Silas pointed to something on the floor. Johnson looked at the vial; he couldn't stop shaking as he turned to look at Silas.

“Now, I would want to know.” Silas’s tone changed; he sounded scarier and more serious. “What made you think it would be a good idea to play with the lives of children?”

“How on earth did Silas get his hands on the Eon Diamond?” Hillary was looking at Lauren, but her daughter’s attention was fixed on Silas. Lauren stared at who used to be by her side, now casually handing a gift to another woman in front of her. “Silas, what is the meaning of this?” Lauren managed to force some words out of her mouth; she was looking at him hang the necklace on Noelle’s neck. Silas, surprised to hear his name being called like that, turned to look at Lauren. “Is anything the problem, Ms. Forrest?” He was looking at her, but instead of the soft, calm, loving gaze Lauren was used to, all she got was a distant, cold stare; it was empty and void of anything that looked like emotion. “What do you think you are doing now?!” She moved close to them, looking at Silas with what looked like the sound of pity. “I know you must think that I would take you back if you do all of this, but the only thing you are going to do is make things worse, so I would advise that—” “And

Griffin Peak Hotel… In the executive suite, Silas could be seen getting ready for something. He wore a dashing blue suit; it was well fitted. He pulled out boots from a rack, a smile on his face. The doors of the suite opened, and Austin was seen standing there with a puzzled look on his face, dressed in a brown suit, two diamond earrings on, and a clearly priceless watch on his right hand.Silas turned to look at Austin; he smiled when he saw him there. “Good to see you here.” He said he was happy to see him there that early. “You are one heck of a man.” Austin walked in, moving to the seat there as he sat down. “You saved a life yesterday, then decided to take a life hours later.”Austin balanced on the seat, looking at Silas. “You managed to take Eizo off the map; what made you do it?” Silas turned to look at his friend. “Filth like him shouldn't be allowed to be in the city; he ruins it with his nature.” Austin was smiling; he threw his head back with a smile. “You should se

Silas joined Noelle in her own car as they were driving to the Prince family mansion. Silas was oddly calm; it wasn't like him to just accept the date like that, but he kept a clear mind. “I wonder what made you not say a thing while I was working on your brothers.” Silas broke the awkward silence. He was looking at Noelle, trying to know what it was that made her even look at him like he was going to be able to do something about the poison when it wasn't even certain if he would be able to save them. Noelle turned to Silas, her facial expression changed, and she was smiling. “Well, one of the household matriarchs said that if you didn't know what was wrong with them, then there was bound to be no cure, and I have never seen her go wrong in my life, so I was going to make sure that I followed her words.” Silas was surprised to hear all that, a warm smile on his face as he turned out the window. “I didn't know someone had that much faith in me.” He was at ease, trying to put his

Johnson couldn't move; he was looking at Silas. He knew nothing was going to save him from what was coming his way. Noelle walked closer to Johnson. Her expression was dark, and the rage in her eyes could be seen. “Mr. Johnson, I believe you can explain yourself?” Johnson was looking at them; it wasn't clear what he was expected to say, but then he turned to Silas, and his anger boiled more. Silas raised his brow, looking at the man in front of him; he wasn't in the mood to entertain rubbish. “I believe you were asked a question so I want to know why you thought it would be a good—” “It was because you took everything from me!” Johnson shot out; he was looking at Silas with pure rage. “I am a medical student, with high majors and all the required documents, but then I am overshadowed by a genius who seems to work miracles!” Silas was looking at Johnson; the correct set of words couldn't come out of his mouth at the moment. “I wanted to make sure that one patient would be remov

Silas threw the phone to the side, placing his head back on the chair. He didn’t say a word; it wasn’t what anyone would want to imagine. “Should I sink them?” Austin muttered; he was looking at his phone. “You know, it’s one word, and I will make sure that the Forrest family will understand what role you played in their lives.” Austin was looking at Silas; his face held nothing like a grudge. “No, leave them.” Silas didn't want anything that would make him even think of Lauren and her family. “I will let fate handle her, and you know there is no way for her to walk away from it for long.” He had a calm face; it was like he had erased her from his mind. Austin smiled; he turned to his phone. His brows raised when he looked at what was in front of him. “Well, if you were not going to do anything, then just know she is about to be hit hard by the Holt family; news spreads fast— even when the Prince of Ash is no longer protecting them.” Silas rolled his eyes; he looked out the wi
