Some of the students on stage frowned at once. “Just stop,” someone from Level 1–A whispered harshly at him.

“Shut up,” another muttered under their breath. “You’re making it worse.”

One of his classmates quickly turned to the attendant. “Please,” he said politely but hurriedly, “he’s two weeks late, he only got admitted today.”

Another added, “He doesn’t really understand how things work here yet, that’s why he’s behaving this way.”

A few others nodded in agreement, trying to smooth things over. The attendant looked at Kael again, then at the group, his expression tightening slightly.

The judges exchanged quiet looks but Kael said nothing more.

He stood there silently, hands by his sides, while others spoke for him, explaining him away, dismissing his words as ignorance.

Brian sat there quietly, his eyes fixed on Kael. He didn’t say anything, but inside, he was confused.

“Why would Kael lie like that? he wondered. “Why say such big things in front of everyone?”

It didn’t make sense to him after all, Kael didn’t look like someone who enjoyed attention. He didn’t look proud or excited, he didn’t even look nervous.

At the same time, Brian couldn’t help feeling a strange kind of admiration.

“Still…” he thought, “It takes courage to speak like that in front of so many people.”

Most students would have backed down. Most would have apologized or kept quiet, but Kael hadn’t. He stood there calmly, speaking without fear, even when everyone laughed at him.

One of the judges adjusted herself in her seat and cleared her throat gently.

“It’s alright,” she said, raising her hand slightly. The hall slowly became quiet again, then she looked at the students on stage.

“I’m curious,” she continued. “Coming from big and wealthy families…” She paused, letting her eyes move across them.

“What properties do your families own?” she asked. “What cars do they drive?” A small smile touched her lips as she added,

“And what cars do you drive yourselves?” The question hung in the air.

Some students straightened proudly, others smiled confidently. The attendant stepped forward and lifted his hand.

He scanned the stage briefly, then pointed towards one of the guys from the other class.

“Yes—you,” he said clearly. “Let’s hear from you.”

The guy straightened at once, he adjusted his jacket slightly, a confident smile forming on his face as he took a small step forward. He then cleared his throat and spoke confidently.

“My family owns a few properties,” he said. “We have a villa in this city and another one just outside town. There’s also a small office building that we rent out.” He brought out his phone showing evidence.

A few students nodded. He continued, “As for cars, my parents drive a black SUV and a sedan, nothing too flashy.”

He paused, then added with a slight smile, “I drive a 2018 BMW 330i, It gets me around fine.”

He stepped back, looking satisfied. The judge nodded slightly, it wasn’t over the top so not many people were moved.

The attendant shifted his gaze and pointed toward Lena from Level 1 A

“Yes,” he said. “You. Please go ahead.”

Lena stepped forward, she was dressed neatly and stylishly. Her uniform fit her perfectly, clean and well-pressed. Her hair was neatly styled, and she wore simple accessories that matched well, giving her a very polished look.

She spoke clearly.

“My family owns several lands,” Lena said. “Some are used for development, and others are held for long-term value.”

A few students nodded.

“We also own a company,” she continued, “along with a few small businesses connected to it.”

She paused briefly, then added, “As for properties, my family owns three villas.”

Soft murmurs spread through the hall. She then proceeded to show evidence from her phone.

“And cars,” Lena said with a light smile. “My parents drive luxury sedans and an SUV, I personally drive a compact sports car, but I do have a driver.”

She stepped back calmly, clearly satisfied with her answer, the judges nodded before scoring her point.

The attendant nodded again and turned to the other side of the stage, he pointed to a lady from the other class.

“You,” he said. “Please speak.”

She stepped forward with confidence.

Her uniform was different in feeling perfectly made, clean, and clearly expensive. Her hair was neatly styled, her posture straight, and the way she walked alone showed confidence, everything about her screamed luxury.

She smiled slightly before speaking. “My family name is Harrington,” she began.

A few whispers moved through the hall.

“We own Harrington Holdings, a private company involved in real estate and logistics,” she continued calmly. Some heads turned.

“As for cars,” she said, her tone steady, “My family owns a Range Rover, a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and a Porsche.”

Soft gasps followed. She paused, then added, “Our family’s net worth is around five million dollars, it's on the internet.

This time, the reaction was louder, people were clearly surprised.

“And the car that brings me to school,” she finished with a small smile, “It’s the Mercedes.”

She stepped back into place confidently as the hall buzzed with excitement.

“Luxury.”

Soon, everyone else had spoken. One by one, the answers were given. Properties, cars, money, names. Now, only one person was left. The attendant slowly turned and pointed.

“You,” he said. “Go ahead.”

All eyes moved at once, they landed on Kael.

Some students laughed softly, others didn’t bother to hide it. The participants from Level 1–A looked at him with clear disgust, as if wishing he was not standing there with them.

Kael took a small breath and stepped forward. “I’m Kael Danaru,” he said calmly.

A few chuckles followed.

“Actually,” Kael continued, his voice steady, “my family, well, my grandfather, is the King of Beryland.”

That line caused louder laughter.

“He’s doing pretty well for himself,” Kael went on. “He owns most of the land there.”

More laughter broke out.

“He also owns a gold mine, although I have less idea about that,” Kael added. “And a lot of animal stock too.”

Some students shook their heads, clearly amused hearing the gold mine.

“As for cars,” Kael said, pausing slightly, “he’s not really a big fan of them.”

A few snorts were heard.

“But he does own… uhm,” Kael frowned a little, thinking. “I think it's vintage.”

The hall went quiet for a moment, not because they believed him, but because no one knew whether to laugh louder  or wait for someone else to do it first.

The attendant frowned slightly and leaned forward. “Did I hear you correctly?” he asked slowly.

“Did you just say your grandfather owns a gold mine?”

The hall went completely quiet again.

Darius spoke again. “Is there anything you needed me for?” Kael paused briefly, then shook his head even though the man couldn’t see him. “No, nothing serious,” he said calmly, “there was something I wanted help with, but I’ve handled it already.” “Maybe later we’ll talk.” Darius nodded from the other side. “That’s perfectly fine, I also didn’t receive your details for the driving license.” Kael exhaled lightly. “It slipped my mind, I’ll send it once
