Justin's annoyance

“Damn it!” Justin snapped at his two friends.

Thomas and Brandon looked at each other, of course this was quite surprising. How could it not be, Justin had never been this angry. Now he got angry easily since there was a new student on campus named Nicholas Steave.

“Is there another problem, Justin? Everything is fine, isn’t it?I Thomas asked.

Justin immediately slammed the car remote and held his breath perfectly.

“You know that man named Nicholas is really impudent, he did bad things to my company, and I don’t accept all of that.” Justin spoke again.

Thomas and Brandon looked at each other again, both of them really confused to death. Honestly, neither of them really knew who the man named Nicholas Steave was.

“Did Nicholas do anything to your company? Don’t you have enough power?” Thomas asked again.

Justin was silent, there was no way he could now admit who Nicholas was. If everyone knew who Nicholas really was, it would be certain that all his friends would flock to Nicholas.

“The day after tomorrow on campus there will be an exhibition of ancient paintings, I’m sure you will get the highest price for the auction event.”

Justin raised an eyebrow, then he smiled at his two friends with a sly grin.

After that, he glanced and saw Nicholas who was getting out of his car. A new car with a much more expensive price than before. Justin’s jaw tightened, his hands clenched into tight fists. Once again Justin was defeated by a human like Nicholas.

“Crazy! I never thought that Nicholas would be this rich. How could he own such a luxurious and magnificent car? Isn’t that car only produced a few units in the world? And to order it you have to spend a lot of money?” said Brandon.

“Shut up, Brandon!” Thomas warned Brandon not to talk too much. Because he didn’t want Justin to feel offended.

Justin rushed to approach Nicholas, then he grinned at Nicholas.

“Tsk! Mr rich guy, can I talk to you? There are many things I want to talk to you about.”

“Aside from the problem with your father, what else do you want to talk to me about, Justin?” Nicholas asked.

Justin felt increasingly annoyed, it seemed like Nicholas was deliberately trying to bring him down in various ways.

“I don’t like your ways, Nicholas Steave. I’m sure that you did bad things to my father’s company because you hated me, right?”

“Yes.” Nicholas answered honestly. “Moreover, this is the truth, I won’t lie about it. Because my desire is not just to become a business partner in your father’s company, but to become one of the shareholders of your father’s company. Wouldn’t that be great, Justin?”

“You never will. How rich are you to be able to buy my family’s shares? I won’t let that happen.”

“Oh yeah, how about we make a bet?” said Nicholas confidently.

Justin’s jaw tightened, then he looked back at Nicholas with an annoyed look.

“What? Whatever it is, I will make sure you lose this bet, Nicholas.”

“Please just choose the bet you want.”

“Today there is a painting exhibition, whoever gets the rarest painting at the best price is the winner. So, do you agree to that?”

“So, what is the benefit for the winner of this bet?” asked Nicholas very casually.

“If I win, you have to stop messing up my father’s company. Don’t do something bad and act as if my father’s company really needs you. And if I lose…” Justin stopped, he was confused about what to say now. He still doubted whether Nicholas was really a rich man or not. “And if I lose, you will get thirty percent of my shares that my father gave me.”

Nicholas immediately raised an eyebrow. He didn’t expect that Justin would fall into his trap. It was that easy for Justin to fall into his trap.

“I wouldn’t believe your bet if it wasn’t official, Justin. I know who you are, and I don’t want you to end up denying your own words. I want this agreement to be written on paper so that everything is fair.”

Thomas and Brandon tried to stop Justin from making this ridiculous deal, but the arrogant Justin didn’t seem to care at all about this.

“I’ll do it, just call your personal lawyer to write the letter, I’ll sign it so you can be sure that what I said was not nonsense.”

Nicholas smiled, and it didn’t take long for his personal lawyer to come with a piece of paper, a written agreement that was very real and without further ado, Justin immediately signed the paper.

“I’m not a coward, so stop acting like I am, Nicholas Steave.”

“Okay, I’m waiting for your arrival at the exhibition. It looks like the exhibition is in an indoor building.”

And everyone finally attended the exhibition. So many paintings and other items were auctioned off. Everyone was competing to get this historical item. Especially Nicholas and Justin.

Until finally the most beautiful painting from the oldest dynasty in China was auctioned. Justin rushed to auction the painting with great enthusiasm.

“One hundred thousand dollars!” Justin exclaimed with a happy expression on his face. How could it not be, he was sure that no one would dare to auction the painting at the high price he offered.

“Five hundred thousand dollars.” Nicholas immediately raised his hand.

Justin was silent for a moment, Thomas and Brandon were shocked beyond words. But Nicholas didn’t care at all about how shocked Justin and his friends were.

“Don’t make the wrong move, Justin. Five hundred thousand dollars is not a small amount of money.” Thomas whispered.

“Six hundred thousand dollars!” Justin still didn’t want to lose. Nicholas smiled again meaningfully, he glanced at Justin again with a grin.

“Are you crazy, Justin? Your father will be furious after this!” Brandon started to get emotional.

“One million dollars.”

Everyone immediately squealed and chuckled while looking at Nicholas who was so calm. How could it not be, who would have thought that a student would dare to bid on a painting at such an expensive price.

Justin started shaking in fear, he couldn't possibly want to lose. Because if not, he will definitely lose his shares in his father's company, and what was most certain was that Justin will definitely be killed by his father.

Justin would never let that happen, he had to try to win the auction this time.

“One million and one hundred thousand dollars!” Justin was still stubborn.

“Justin, stop. You will never win against him!” Michelle, who had just arrived, immediately reprimanded her boyfriend.

Nicholas saw this and grinned again. He raised his hand again perfectly.

“Five hundred million dollars!”
