Lost badly

Everyone was shocked and couldn’t believe it when they heard Nicholas’ presumptuous words. Five hundred million dollars was a truly enormous amount of money, and it was almost impossible for Justin to have.

Justin couldn’t say anything else, apart from sitting down with a pale expression on his face. This was the worst thing that Justin had experienced and now Justin didn’t know what to do. Justin was confused about what to say to his father, and he was confused of how he should deal with Nicholas.

Occasionally Justin rubbed his face roughly, he couldn’t do anything now.

“You’re stupid, Justin. Just so you know, Nicholas Steave is the heir to Mr. Steave who has the greatest wealth in the entire world. Never mind just a painting worth five hundred million dollars, he could even buy your life. What is wrong with you? How can you deal with Nicholas Steave?” Michelle tried to get Justin to come to his senses and stop acting out in front of Nicholas. Even though Michelle knew that this was impossible because from the start Justin had always been proud of being number one on campus.

“Stop talking, Michelle. You know my head really hurts now. Stay away from me, I don’t want to say anything else.”

“Why? Isn’t it all over? I hope you don’t have to deal with Nicholas again in the future.”

“The problem is that Justin has bet thirty percent of his company shares on Nicholas.” Thomas answered.

Michelle immediately glared in disbelief, she had no idea that Justin was this stupid.

“What are you doing, Justin. Are you crazy?” Michelle asked, almost in disbelief.

Justin was silent, his jaw hardened now. How can he be considered not crazy if his stupid decision just now didn’t make sense?

“So, Justin. What about the share transfer process that you offered me voluntarily? Do I need to call my personal lawyer again to take care of everything? I can’t wait to be part of the Macrus Group.”

“You…” Justin said, trailing off. “I’m sure you’re trapping me on purpose, right? You deliberately provoked my emotions so that I would say and agree to your stupid bet, right?!” Justin snapped while grabbing Nicholas by the collar.

Nicholas was still silent, he then smiled grinningly, of course this was very funny in his eyes. When Justin became helpless, and when he saw Justin become a loser who never wanted to admit his mistakes.

“In the end, who you really are appears very clearly, the figure of a loser man who is reluctant to accept defeat. A figure who is always thirsty for praise and a figure who most wants to be number one in every place. In fact, you are just a stupid donkey who doesn’t know yourself. You proposed the agreement, but now you wanted to cancel it. Isn’t this the funniest thing that has ever existed in this world?”

“Shut up, Nicholas Steave!”

“Okay, I’ll be quiet. At least now all the students on campus know who you are, and they no longer have the right to be afraid of you. What is it to be afraid of? Of course there is no one to be afraid of. You are just an ignorant loser.”

Nicholas immediately left, leaving the place after he called Gob to arrange payment for the painting.

*****

Today Nicholas felt quite happy, he had received proof that the house he had just bought for his grandmother was occupied. Even though his grandmother asked who the house belonged to and so on, fortunately the owner of the house was quite clever. With various methods and reasons, his grandmother finally agreed and took the house.

“Mr Steave, Mr Macrus would like to see you.”

Nicholas, who was initially busy, immediately hung up his cell phone and rushed over to Gob.

“What is going on?”

“I don’t know. But, it seems to have something to do with the auction and your bet with Young Master Macrus earlier.”

Nicholas nodded his head then he prepared to go down by taking the elevator. After the elevator opened, it turned out that Mr. Macrus was already there, sitting so restless. Actually, Nicholas didn’t have any grudge against Mr. Macrus. But, every time Nicholas remembered Justin and what Justin had done and when he even killed him, Nicholas’ blood immediately boiled, and Nicholas really wanted to destroy Justin’s arrogant nature in one fell swoop.

“It is an honor for me to have a valuable guest like you, Mr. Macrus.”

“Oh, Mr. Steave. I’m so glad you wanted to meet me. I really don’t have the face to see you anymore.”

Nicholas was still silent. He sat down then ordered one of his house servants to give him the best dishes ever.

“I heard that Justin has been impudent towards you and has even made an unreasonable bet, is that true, sir?” asked Mr. Macrus matter-of-factly.

“Yes, that is true. It seems like your son needs a little education so that he knows how to carry out his life.”

“And does your decision to terminate our collaboration also have something to do with Justin’s behavior, which you find annoying, sir? If yes then just tell me, sir. I will try to discipline him and I promise that starting from today, Justin will never bother you again.”

Nicholas really wanted to tell him about Justin’s crimes, but Nicholas knew that Mr. Macrus actually knew everything. Justin was jailed for a while then released on cash bail. This was proof that Mr. Macrus, just like Justin, thought that every problem will be solved only with money. A thing that made Nicholas feel sorry for them.

“I only want your shares, I don’t want to be your business partner, but I want to be one of your share owners. While what Justin did was actually legally legal, it’s just that I’m not the type of person who would force someone to give up something he didn’t  want to lose. However…” Nicholas trailed off. “Surely I would have taken it another way.”

“I beg you, Mr. Steave. My company slowly collapsed after you decided to stop the cooperation with my company, and all my company’s business relations withdrew one by one and did not want to extend our collaboration. Because they are only tempted because you are there. If everything continues then I will really go bankrupt and my company will not be able to be saved. Even at this moment, the company already requires a bank loan of five billion dollars and even at this moment the bank has not approved it.”

Nicholas nodded, then he looked at Mr. Macrus again with his sharp gaze.

“Then why did you come here, sir?”

“I just want to ask for your mercy, Mr. Steave. Please help my company because my company needs a lot of money, and you are the only person who can help me. I beg you, Sir.”

“I will do it but I also want compensation for everything Justin said. How about that? His boasting annoys me.”

“Whatever it is, just say what the conditions are, Mr. Steave. I will do it as long as you give me a debt of that amount.”

“I will give you five billion dollars, but on the condition that you sell your shares to me. Put my name and make me one of the shareholders in your company.”

Mr Macrus was silent for a moment, he couldn’t even say anything. Mr. Macrus was confused to death by Nicholas’ request.

“If you are not willing then go home, sir. I have so much work to do.”

“No, I agree, sir! I agree with your request. I will give you forty percent of my company’s shares as long as you would help me.”

“Fifty percent. I will increase financial assistance for you. Five billion, or ten billion dollars? Just mention how much money do you need.”

Mr. Macrus swallowed hard, then nodded with a pale expression.

“Okay, I agree with that, Mr. Steave. Ten billion dollars for fifty percent of my company’s share.”
