The Husband's Revenge

Chapter 2 : Your wife is dead.

Andrew began to panic, what happened to his wife while he was gone. He tried entering the room again ,but he was grabbed by the two guards and dragged outside.

Andrew could not understand what was going on, but he knew he needed to get to the bottom of this. But when he was heading out the back door, he heard a familiar voice and followed it and it was his mother in law making a call.

"Yes, we have harvested Lily's kidney and heart after her fake illness, the drugs worked well and the doctors helped us," Mrs Nelson, the mother in law said on the phone call.

"Yes that fool she calls a husband doesn't suspect a thing, Paul will get her heart and kidney and Lily will die, that's why we adopted her after all, she was his walking donor, she grew up well," she continued with a cruel chuckle.

Andrew froze, he knew Paul the first child had heart problems and bad health, but did they fake her sickness to take her organs ,so no one will suspect a thing?

"What did you just say you did to my wife?" Andrew asked , stepping forward.

His mother-in-law turned immediately and saw him there, rolling her eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she told him, ending the call quickly because she did not want him to get more suspicious.

"I just heard you say that you faked my wife's illness so that you can bring her to the hospital and take her heart and kidney. Don't you know that if you do that when she's alive, she would die?" Andrew asked his mother-in-law, his voice shaking with rage.

She rolled her eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Then what are you doing in the hospital? Why are you here, I didn't call you?” Andrew asked but she just scoffed.

“You know what, forget that, I want to see my wife. I don't understand but it seems like you are the family that came and took her body. You are no longer guardian, I am. So show me my wife," Andrew said as he took a step closer to his mother-in-law.

Out of nowhere, his father-in-law and two bodyguards rushed forward to step in front of him.

"Why are you harassing my wife?” Mr Nelson, his father-in-law asked him.

Andrew looked at this man. He knew very well Lily’s family did not take her as their own. She went to visit her parents weekly, and it was after her first visit to her parents that she became ill mysteriously. Until now, they did not know the solution to her illness. So hearing this now, he knew there was more to it.

"Where is my wife? It seems like you are the one who took her away. Take me to where my wife is, I want to see her," Andrew pleaded with his father-in-law.

"Did the doctor not inform you that she is dead?" Mrs Nelson asked him.

"If she is dead then show me her body." Andrew told him.

"Get him out of here," Mr Nelson said, and the two bodyguards walked forward and grabbed Andrew, dragging him away from the hospital.

"Let go of me, you criminals!” Andrew yelled fighting with bodyguards to let go of him.

“Someone please help me and call the police! They want to harvest my wife's organs while she’s still alive! This hospital is a criminal organisation, be careful of your loved ones who are here!" Andrew yelled at the top of his lungs, but that got him punched in the stomach, knocking the breath out of him.

"He is a madman, he escaped from my mental institution and came here to cause problems!" Mrs Nelson yelled ,so that the people paying attention to what he was saying would look away.

As if the hospital knew what to do, they immediately rushed forward, grabbed Andrew, and injected him with sedative, telling everybody there that he was a madman.

"We have been trying to catch him to put him in the mental institution, and he ran away. Don’t mind the nonsense he’s talking about, your family is safe in our hospital," one of the doctors who was working with his in-laws told the other patients as they took Andrew, tied him up, and took him into the hospital.

Andrew had already passed out because of the sedative they gave him, and when he woke up again, he was bound to the bed by hospital bands.

"What are you people doing? Let go of me! I want to see my wife!" Andrew yelled at the top of his lungs.

A doctor walked into the room and glared at him. "I don't understand the nonsense you pulled, but don't try that nonsense again. I have already told you that your wife is dead. If you want to see her body, then that is fine."

When the doctor told him that, he knew that something was awfully wrong.

"How long was I passed out?" Andrew asked the doctor.

The doctor rolled his eyes. "Long enough," he said.

Two bodyguards walked into the room and Andrew was let go, and the doctor took him to the morgue to see his wife.

When they got there, they opened the cover and it was his wife, but then he pulled off the cover completely and saw a fresh scar on her chest where her heart should be, and her stomach.

Andrew froze as tears stung his eyes, have they done to her?

Her body lay lifeless in front of him and it was because he was too weak to protect her.

"You told me that she died and I could not get the money for her treatment. So why was she operated on?" Andrew asked the doctor with a glare.

"Well she is a donor and we took the organs we needed." The doctor replied nonchalantly and Andrew began breathing heavily.

"That is a lie! My wife never signed any document like that. If she did I would know. Show me the documents." Andrew said.

"Look, you're making things difficult. For my sake and your sake as well, I think you should let this go, move on with your life and remarry, or else you end up like your wife," the doctor advised him.

He, who was in tears, grabbed the doctor by the collar. "What did you just say? I want to see my in-laws."

The doctor went to take him to where his in-laws were, and when he was getting there, he heard them say something.

"Yes, the operation has been done, my son is well."

Andrew charged at his father-in-law, punching him and knocking him down, but the bodyguards grabbed him and pinned him to the floor.

"Let go of me, you monsters! All of you are evil! So you killed my wife, even when she was alive, you harvested her organs to save your own son! How could such evil people exist!" Andrew yelled.

Mrs Nelson went to her husband’s aid and helped him get up.

"Make sure you take him somewhere very far away, beat him up, kill him and dump his body in a pit. I do not want someone like him bothering me in the future. Take him away," Mr Nelson ordered.

The bodyguard punched his face, knocking him out, and the next time he opened his eyes, he was tied up in a bush. The bodyguards who caught him were lying bloody on the floor, and a man was standing in between them.

"Who are you?" Andrew asked, and the man turned immediately and came to untie him.

And then when he untied him, he knelt down and bowed. "Young master, I have finally found you. I am your bodyguard. The master, your grandfather, is dead. You have to return to take the test and take over the empire."

"What are you talking about? I need to go to the police and report this crime. My wife was killed." Andrew said as he got up immediately.

"Do you think that you can fight against them without money and power? You should go there, they will kill you, and your wife’s death will go unavenged." The man's voice stopped him and he sighed, he clenched his fists helplessly, because he knew it was the truth.

"What should I do?" Andrew asked, because he needed a solution.

He knew what this strange man said was true. He had no power, and if he went against his father-in-law now, he would be dead.

"Come with me to train for the test. If you pass it, you can inherit the empire and all your enemies, you will get revenge." The man told him again and he turned to face the mysterious man.

"Then let's go. For all I know, Andrew Williams died here," he said as they walked away into the shadows.
