In a small, dirty alley of Blackwood City, within one of the neatly arranged old wooden houses.

“Darling, breakfast is ready.” Alex happily prepared breakfast for his wife.

“It is your favourite bacon. I woke up early to prepare it. Let's enjoy it together before heading to work."

Her wife refused to respond from their bedroom.

Alex placed the delicious-smelling bacon on the table and found her sitting on the edge of the bed. She was still in her pajamas, looking sullen.

“Are you okay, Honey?”

"No! I'm not okay, Alexander," she yelled angrily. "I want a divorce!"

"What?" Alex exclaimed in disbelief. "You're joking, right? Tomorrow is our first wedding anniversary."

He walked to her with shock in his face.

"Don’t come near me!" she screamed, filled with rage and disgust, hastily moved away, treating Alex like a disgusting creature.

"Darling?" Alex felt hurt.

"Stop calling me Darling. I hate it! My decision won't change. Don't you dare try to sweet-talk me!"

He retreated, slumping defeatedly into a kitchen chair, looking at her. “Why? I thought our life was perfect. I really love you, and you love me. We are happy!”

"That's exactly where you're wrong!” Merly screamed at the top of her lungs in rage. “You never try to understand me!”

Merly stormed to the cupboard hastily, snatched a handbag. "This handbag! You claimed it was bought with all your savings! It's so cheap, and I’m mortified to be seen with it!"

She threw it at Alex’s face with hatred.

Alex purchased it with three months' worth of his salary, avoiding spending anything for himself, all for the sake of his wife.

"And your second-hand motorcycle! I feel ashamed every time we go out, while everyone else has cars!"

"This ugly house, our month-to-month rented shack," she sadly sobbed. "With all the wall-leaking neighbors' fucking sounds!"

"I want a home, Alex! A place for me. But with your poor earnings, that will never happen."

Alex sat dejectedly, his heart aching.

"Merly, I'm already working two jobs, day at the construction site, night as a security guard. I can't take on more work. I have given you my everything."

Merly eyes pierced Alex with disdain and cruelty. “That’s the fucking issue, Alex. You're poor, while others swim in wealth!"

"Why can't you be rich like them? Why do you have to drag me into this life of poverty with you? You're a monster tormenting me! I want to be Rich!!!"

"Merly Luxenberg, everyone wants to be rich, but each person's fate is different," Alex felt the pain; all he did was love, yet now he is branded a tormenting wife monster.

"Let's not compare our lives to others; let's just live happily with what we have."

"I've had enough of you and your fucking philosophy of living happily in poverty," she retorted, standing up in defiance as she changed her clothes in rage.

"I've endured your delusions, tolerated this poor life without complaint. I'm exhausted and disappointed, wishing I never loved you! I want all of this to stop. I want my life back!"

Alex sighed heavily. He was the Supreme Commander of the Archelion Empire Military, a rank just below the emperor.

As the first in line to the throne, he adhered to the Archelion Royal family tradition, where a lion's cub must prove his worth in the wilderness before claiming his empire.

Incognito, he must survive independently without revealing his true identity or accessing his inheritance while living among the poor citizens.

If he marries during his incognito period and his spouse endures a year of frugality with him, he can then reveal his true identity to her and anyone else.

Their first anniversary was sadly just a few hours before midnight.

Merly stood at the door, her attire flawless, her eyes blazing with fury. "Let’s go."

"Where?" Alex startled.

“To the government agency, to file for our divorce,” she commanded harshly. “Now!”

Merly’s seriousness cuts through Alex like a blade.

Alex leaped up in panic, pulling a warped gift from the drawer.

“Listen, Merly. Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary. This is my gift. It's my everything. I beg you, just give a few more hours before midnight. You won’t regret it, I promise you.”

“Shut up!” She snatched the gift. “Listen, you a piece of trash. After a year, I’ve seen enough to know you’re nothing. And this gift... is a trash.”

With a scornful gesture, she threw it out the door. "I don't want trash in my life, just like I don't want you in it."

Alex hurried outside to retrieve the gift, containing very important items.

Neighbours had gathered around to witness the shameful drama, with some pointing their fingers and laughing disdainfully to Alex.

Such a shameful husband.

On the Great Archelion Empire military base, a million soldiers stand, while thousands of aircraft fill the blue skies, and thousands of battleships on the sea create an awe-inspiring magnificence across the horizon.

The old, scary-faced general stood, thundered his command fiercely. “Tomorrow, our Supreme Commander, Lord Alexander Kingsley, will return with his wife, Merly. We have dispatched the finest aircraft to personally escort them from Blackwood City.”

“I have told them, don’t let anyone hurt our Lord. Erase the entire Blackwood City if necessary! And none of you shall bring shame upon our dignity when our lord arrives!”

"Sir! Yes, Sir," a million soldiers answered in thunderous unison, their voices trembling and echoing through the air, reaching towards the heavens.

Merly stood at the door, rigid like a lioness, faced the gathered crowd fiercely."Everyone, look at this useless man," she shouted with contempt, "He can't bring me any happiness in my life. He gave me ugly, cheap things, and all bitter food to eat!"“Before marriage, I didn’t even need to work. Rich men were lining up to provide everything I needed!”"Since I married, I’ve known nothing but pain and poverty." She scanned the crowd arrogantly. "I ask you, do I have the right to divorce this worthless man?"An unmarried, 70-year-old grandmother retorted, "Merly, you are beautiful, and you are already too kind to your trash husband. If it were me, I would have long ago divorced him! Even if you gave him to me for free, I wouldn’t take him.""Agree," chimed in another ugly man. "Merly, you're too pretty for him. Even I am much better than him. Your husband is totally trash.""Sister," a man shouldered his way through the crowd in hurry. "Sorry I'm late. Where's that bastard?"Merly point

You’re not just anybody. But she is too oblivious to what she wants.”“You know about this?” Alex showed the smart device with small royal logo."I'm old enough to recognize a Cinderella story about a royal family revealing themselves a year after marriage. On the roadside, under the scorching sunlight, Alex's hands trembled with rage and irony as he flung the ring."So, Ugor is the real reason for our divorce?"Merly caught the ring; her face briefly showed a hint of guilt before transforming into aggressive arrogance.“So what? We are already divorced. I am free to do anything.”“You are right.” It was really a bitter reality, taste like a sand in Alex’s mouth.“Don’t you know who Ugor really is? He’s just going to play with your heart and body, then discard you. Can’t you find someone better, someone more human than a goat?”“Shut up!” Ugor interjected. “I’m going to marry Merly. If it weren’t for you, I’d have married her six months ago.”Alex ignored him, “Merly, ask yourself deep down, is Ugor the right one for you? He’s only slightly richer than me, just another worker.”He knew her well; they had been husband and wife for a year.“Anyone better than you is fine,” Merly's face flushed with shame, her eyes darting away to avoid the

"Please return these items later."“Please give me a moment, Sir? It won’t take long,” Livinia sweetly said, taking the items and giving Alex a wink. She approached Ugor and the car owner, who were still engaged in a heated argument, with Merly siding with Ugor.“Excuse me, gentlemen,” Lavinia interjected. “Can you give me a moment? It won’t be long.”She then turned to Merly. “You must be Merly, Alex’s ex-wife.”“And who are you?” Merly looked her suspiciously.“Oh, where are my manners? I am Lavinia, Alex’s personal assistant,” she replied with a graceful tone, her demeanour exuding nobility. The scent of her expensive perfume filled the air.“These two items were supposed to be Alex’s wedding gifts to Mrs. Merly. As a result, this bank account will be terminated. Have a nice day."The screen suddenly went blank."Why did you put it in the system?" Merly’s anger flaring at the worker.“I had tried to give you 15 minutes before, but you refused it! No one had ever spoken so boldly in front of him in his entire life."I'll repeat it as many times as you want," Alex said, fed up with everything.“This place, Luster, is not your fucking place."The worker’s face was pale, they were so shocked that they didn’t dare say anything or make even the smallest move.“Explain, you bastard,” Luster demanded, his voice seething with fury his body trembling in anger.“This Total Construction has stockholders; they are the real owners. We are all just workers here, and you, despite being the general manager, are a salary eater like us. Or…”Stepping forward, Alex's eyes blazed with defiance. "Do you believe you're the boss here?
