A few minutes later, they were in her office. The director wasn't sure what a lowlife-husband like Ron could possibly do to end what seasoned doctors have tried to put an end to and failed, but she sat still regardless.

She didn't sit still in anticipation of a miracle, she anticipated his failure.

“I have a feeling you are just wasting my time, Mr. Ron. Who knows you may have just made a lucky guess outside.” She squinted at him while he prepared.

“You are right. I might have just been lucky, but shouldn’t we find out?”

Ron could see the wheels in the director's head working and calculating. She was looking down on him just like everybody else has done to him since he got to this city.

He smirked, anticipating the look of disappointment on her face when he proved her wrong.

“So now what?” The director said, breaking into his thoughts.

“First, you have to sit on this table and lift up your shirt.”

The director didn't understand what he meant by what he had just said.
