“It’s been ten years… I’m finally back.”
The young man stood alone before a silent grave, his voice low but steady. The tombstone before him was worn by time, yet the name carved into it remained painfully clear.
Naomi Rift.
He wore a black suit that clung neatly to his tall frame, rain-darkened roses resting in his clenched fist.
This was Jaden Rift.
He knelt slowly, placing the flowers at the foot of the grave.
“Mother, I’m sorry it took me this long,” he said, his jaw tightening. “I promise… I will avenge your death. And I will find Julie. No matter where she is.”
Ten years ago, the Rift family had been on a simple trip—just him, his mother, and his little sister. Their father had abandoned them when Jaden was barely old enough to remember his face. From then on, Naomi Rift became everything: mother, father, protector.
She was a strong woman. Alongside her closest friend, Agatha, she built a real estate empire from nothing. Together, they turned the company nto the most powerful company in all of Ravenmoor. But success bred envy, and somewhere along the way, loyalty was poisoned by greed.
That was the day everything ended.
The car jerked violently before screeching to a halt.
“What’s going on?” Naomi asked, gripping her seat.
The driver’s face drained of color as he stared ahead. “Ma’am… it looks like we’ve been ambushed.”
“What?” Naomi exclaimed.
Outside, rough-looking men stepped from the shadows, weapons glinting beneath the fading light.
“Mom, I’m scared,” Julie cried, her small hands trembling as she clutched her seatbelt. She was only ten. Jaden, fourteen, felt his own fear claw at his chest—but he swallowed it.
Naomi turned, her eyes sharp yet gentle as they met her son’s. She reached into her bag and pressed a cold, clean dagger into his palm.
“Jaden, stay in the car with your sister,” she whispered urgently. “If anything goes wrong, take this knife and protect yourself.”
“Mom, where are you going?” Jaden asked, terrified.
But Naomi only smiled as she stepped out of the car.
The night air was cold, yet her expression remained calm as she moved to stand between the armed men and her children. Nearly twenty thugs surrounded them, all dressed in midnight-black suits, weapons resting openly in their hands. Behind Naomi stood her four security guards, rigid and alert—but hopelessly outnumbered.
“Please,” Naomi said, slowly raising her hands above her head. “Tell me what you want. Don’t hurt us. My children are in that car.”
The men remained silent, their faces empty, as if her words meant nothing.
Then one of the black vehicles behind them opened.
A woman stepped out.
She wore a long white coat that contrasted sharply against the darkness, her heels clicking softly against the asphalt. The headlights illuminated her face—and Naomi felt the ground shift beneath her feet.
“A-Agatha?” Naomi whispered. “Why… what is this?”
Agatha White smiled, but there was no warmth in it.
“Don’t be dull, Naomi,” she said casually. “I want Rift Corporation. All of it.”
Naomi shook her head in disbelief. “You’re joking. We built that company together. We were friends.”
“Friends?” Agatha scoffed. “Friends don’t get praised while the other is treated like a shadow. Friends don’t let one name shine while the other is forgotten.”
“This is madness,” Naomi said, her voice trembling. “If you need money, power—whatever it is—there are other ways.”
Agatha raised a hand.
Two men immediately dragged Julie and Jaden out of the car. The little girl screamed, tears streaking down her face as a gun was pressed to her head. Inside the car, Jaden slammed his fists against their chest, shouting helplessly.
Naomi’s breath hitched.
“Sign the papers,” Agatha said calmly, producing a folder and tossing it at Naomi’s feet. “Or your children die right here.”
With shaking hands and tears blurring her vision, Naomi picked up the pen. Her signature was rushed, uneven—each stroke carving despair into the page.
“There,” she whispered. “You have everything. Let them go.”
Agatha took the papers, flipped through them, then smiled.
“Good.”
She turned to her men.
“Kill them.”

Chapter 1061
Selena cried out, the sound loud enough that she instantly clapped a hand over her mouth. He didn’t let her stay quiet. He fucked her harder, deeper, each punishing stroke driving her forward so her tits pressed against the glass. The wet, filthy slap of his hips against her ass filled the room—obscene and rhythmic—mixed with the slick sound of her drenched pussy taking every thick inch of his cock. One hand braced above her head on the window frame, the other digging into her hip hard enough to bruise. He was hammering her G-spot with every thrust. She was dripping down her thighs. Every time he pulled back, her pussy clenched greedily around him, trying to keep him inside. The night breeze drifting through the open window cooled the sweat on her skin, but it did nothing to stop the fire burning between her legs.“Don’t stop—” she gasped, voice cracking. “Please, Jaden, don’t fucking stop—”He reached around and rubbed her swollen clit with two fingers, fast and relentless. Her legs
Chapter 1060
Selena didn’t wait. The moment the door clicked shut behind them, her hands were already at Jaden’s shirt, fingers moving quickly over the buttons with barely restrained urgency. He caught her wrists briefly when she nearly tore one loose, a faint smile touching his lips as he leaned closer.“Easy,” he murmured softly against her mouth. She looked up at him, breath uneven. “I’ve been easy long enough.”That answer alone made something shift in his expression.Jaden released her hands, and within seconds she had his shirt open, her palms sliding across his chest as though reassuring herself he was really there. His gaze darkened while he watched her, calm restraint slowly giving way beneath the tension that had been building between them for far too long. Then down to his belt. She undid it slowly. Looked up at him while she did it. Then she went down. She wrapped her hand around his dick first, felt him already hard, thick and heavy in her grip — and heard him pull a sharp breath thro
Chapter 1059
Selena quietly walked onto the balcony and found Jaden standing alone beneath the night sky.The city lights reflected faintly across his face while the cold breeze brushed against his shirt, but he barely seemed to notice it. His eyes were fixed upward, distant and heavy with thought. For a moment, Selena simply stood there watching him. This version of Jaden felt different. Not like the calm, untouchable General everyone feared. Not like the confident man who always seemed in control.Right now—He just looked tired.Slowly, she walked beside him.“Jaden…” she called softly. He glanced at her briefly before looking back at the sky again.“Are you okay?”A faint bitter smile appeared on his face.“No,” he answered honestly. “I’m not.”Selena’s expression softened immediately.Jaden rested both hands against the balcony railing, his voice quieter now.“When we were young… after our father abandoned us… I swore I would protect Julie no matter what.”His jaw tightened slightly.“But I w
Chapter 1058
That same evening, Jaden remained unusually quiet while waiting for Selena to return home from work. The atmosphere inside Riverside Garden was peaceful as Nora prepared dinner in the kitchen while Vane sat in the living room watching television with Mia, who talked nonstop about school and proudly repeated how her teacher had praised her earlier that day. Nearby, Morganna pretended to help Mia revise her homework while secretly scrolling through her phone beneath the table. Not long after, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway echoed outside.“Mommy’s home!” Mia shouted excitedly before jumping off the couch and rushing toward the door. The moment Selena stepped inside, Mia threw herself into her arms. Selena laughed softly as she hugged her daughter and brushed a few loose strands of hair away from her face.“What has you so excited today?” she asked warmly.“My teacher said I’m the smartest in class,” Mia declared proudly. “And papa came to pick me up too!”Selena smiled at
Chapter 1057
Kaelus reached into his coat and carefully brought out a sealed black envelope. His expression remained serious as he handed it over.“This came directly from Sergeant Hope,” he said quietly. “Emergency priority.”Jaden glanced at the envelope briefly before taking it. Even without opening it, he could already tell something serious had happened. Still, Mia was beside him holding onto his arm while talking excitedly about school, completely unaware of the tension in the air.Jaden calmly slipped the envelope into his coat. “I’ll read it when I get home.”Kaelus nodded immediately. “Yes, General.”Not long after, Jaden drove back toward Riverside Garden with Mia in the passenger seat talking endlessly about school, cartoons, and ice cream flavors.By the time Jaden arrived home, Nora, Vane, and Morganna had already returned from the supermarket.Several grocery bags sat on the dining table while Nora and Vane discussed dinner preparations in the kitchen. The moment Mia entered the hous
Chapter 1056
The afternoon sun hung low above Ironvale as rows of parents and vehicles lined the road outside Brightstar elementary school.Children ran out excitedly through the school gates while teachers stood nearby supervising the dismissal.Parked quietly along the roadside was Jaden’s black Honda Civic.Compared to the luxury cars around him, the vehicle looked completely ordinary. No one would have imagined that the man leaning casually against it was someone capable of shaking an entire nation with a single order.Jaden checked the time briefly before looking toward the school entrance.Right then—“PAPAAA!”A tiny figure burst through the gate excitedly.Mia.Her backpack bounced wildly behind her as she sprinted across the sidewalk toward him with the biggest smile on her face.Jaden’s cold expression instantly softened. The moment she reached him, he lifted her effortlessly with one arm.“You ran out like a little tornado again,” he said with a faint chuckle.Mia wrapped her arms aroun

Signing papers under duress don’t hold up in court. Dumb premises.
What a good book
I probably read wrong, but a man wasn’t mentioned in this chapter. It’s because of the company.

Interesting story
Wow! Can’t believe one woman could be this evil to her bff all because of a man. She ruined their friendship, child and mother’s lives. Even in death she’s still being spiteful. Can’t wait for her to get what’s coming to her. She’s a pure evil-B. Friend-enemy!
