“It’s been ten years… I’m finally back.”

The young man stood alone before a silent grave, his voice low but steady. The tombstone before him was worn by time, yet the name carved into it remained painfully clear.

Naomi Rift.

He wore a black suit that clung neatly to his tall frame, rain-darkened roses resting in his clenched fist.

This was Jaden Rift.

He knelt slowly, placing the flowers at the foot of the grave.

“Mother, I’m sorry it took me this long,” he said, his jaw tightening. “I promise… I will avenge your death. And I will find Julie. No matter where she is.”

Ten years ago, the Rift family had been on a simple trip—just him, his mother, and his little sister. Their father had abandoned them when Jaden was barely old enough to remember his face. From then on, Naomi Rift became everything: mother, father, protector.

She was a strong woman. Alongside her closest friend, Agatha, she built a real estate empire from nothing. Together, they turned the company nto the most powerful company in all of Ravenmoor. But success bred envy, and somewhere along the way, loyalty was poisoned by greed.

That was the day everything ended.

The car jerked violently before screeching to a halt.

“What’s going on?” Naomi asked, gripping her seat.

The driver’s face drained of color as he stared ahead. “Ma’am… it looks like we’ve been ambushed.”

“What?” Naomi exclaimed.

Outside, rough-looking men stepped from the shadows, weapons glinting beneath the fading light.

“Mom, I’m scared,” Julie cried, her small hands trembling as she clutched her seatbelt. She was only ten. Jaden, fourteen, felt his own fear claw at his chest—but he swallowed it.

Naomi turned, her eyes sharp yet gentle as they met her son’s. She reached into her bag and pressed a cold, clean dagger into his palm.

“Jaden, stay in the car with your sister,” she whispered urgently. “If anything goes wrong, take this knife and protect yourself.”

“Mom, where are you going?” Jaden asked, terrified.

But Naomi only smiled as she stepped out of the car.

The night air was cold, yet her expression remained calm as she moved to stand between the armed men and her children. Nearly twenty thugs surrounded them, all dressed in midnight-black suits, weapons resting openly in their hands. Behind Naomi stood her four security guards, rigid and alert—but hopelessly outnumbered.

“Please,” Naomi said, slowly raising her hands above her head. “Tell me what you want. Don’t hurt us. My children are in that car.”

The men remained silent, their faces empty, as if her words meant nothing.

Then one of the black vehicles behind them opened.

A woman stepped out.

She wore a long white coat that contrasted sharply against the darkness, her heels clicking softly against the asphalt. The headlights illuminated her face—and Naomi felt the ground shift beneath her feet.

“A-Agatha?” Naomi whispered. “Why… what is this?”

Agatha White smiled, but there was no warmth in it.

“Don’t be dull, Naomi,” she said casually. “I want Rift Corporation. All of it.”

Naomi shook her head in disbelief. “You’re joking. We built that company together. We were friends.”

“Friends?” Agatha scoffed. “Friends don’t get praised while the other is treated like a shadow. Friends don’t let one name shine while the other is forgotten.”

“This is madness,” Naomi said, her voice trembling. “If you need money, power—whatever it is—there are other ways.”

Agatha raised a hand.

Two men immediately dragged Julie and Jaden out of the car. The little girl screamed, tears streaking down her face as a gun was pressed to her head. Inside the car, Jaden slammed his fists against their chest, shouting helplessly.

Naomi’s breath hitched.

“Sign the papers,” Agatha said calmly, producing a folder and tossing it at Naomi’s feet. “Or your children die right here.”

With shaking hands and tears blurring her vision, Naomi picked up the pen. Her signature was rushed, uneven—each stroke carving despair into the page.

“There,” she whispered. “You have everything. Let them go.”

Agatha took the papers, flipped through them, then smiled.

“Good.”

She turned to her men.

“Kill them.”

  • Planning for war

Nobody joked this time.Within minutes, the group had assembled inside one of the largest conference rooms in headquarters. The atmosphere inside was completely different from the lively courtyard outside.A massive digital display covered nearly the entire front wall, while a holographic projector illuminated the darkened room with streams of blue light. Several intelligence files were already waiting to be presented.Seated around the long conference table were only five people.Jaden occupied the seat at the head of the table.Hope stood beside the presentation screen with her tablet.Kaiden leaned back lazily in his chair with his feet crossed.Drax rested both elbows on the table while maintaining an unusually serious expression.Ares folded his arms silently. The playful atmosphere from earlier had completely disappeared.Jaden looked toward Hope.“Begin the briefing.”Hope nodded. She tapped her tablet.Immediately, dozens of files appeared across the enormous screen.Satellite

  • Cocky Warlords

Julie couldn’t hold it in anymore. She burst into laughter, clutching her stomach as she looked back and forth between Ares and Drax. “Wait… weren’t you two just bragging a minute ago?” she asked through her giggles. “Didn’t the mighty Warlords say they were the strongest fighters in the Special Forces? So why are you both acting scared of Kaiden?”Ares blinked before looking at Drax.Drax blinked back. The two men stared at each other for several seconds before realization slowly dawned on their faces.“…She’s right.”“She’s actually right.”They exclaimed almost simultaneously before their expressions instantly changed from nervousness to arrogance.Ares rolled his shoulders, a cocky grin spreading across his face. “What were we even thinking?”Drax cracked his knuckles loudly and laughed. “Exactly! We are the strongest Warlords. Why should we be scared of one psychopath?”The more they thought about it, the more ridiculous their hesitation seemed.Ares pointed directly at Kaiden.“

  • Arm Wrestling II

Several passing soldiers stopped to watch. Some even started placing friendly bets.Hope stared at the growing crowd before sighing once more.“This headquarters is becoming a circus…”Drax and Ares sat opposite one another.Their enormous hands clasped together above the table.Julie cleared her throat.“The rules are simple!”She pointed dramatically toward Drax.“On my left is the undefeated giant himself… Uncle Drax!”Several soldiers clapped.Julie immediately pointed toward Ares.“And on my right…”She paused for dramatic effect.“…the walking mountain… Uncle Ares!”Even louder cheers erupted.Julie looked between them before smiling mischievously.“Oh! I almost forgot.”She folded her arms.“Whoever wins…”“…becomes my favorite uncle.”Drax immediately grinned.“Hear that?”He looked confidently at Ares.“Don’t worry, Julie.”“I’ll win.”Ares burst into laughter.“The only thing this little man has been feeding you is fairy tales.”He flexed one arm casually.“I’m obviously the

  • Arm Wrestling

The following morning, the usually disciplined atmosphere of the Special Forces Headquarters had become unusually lively. Following Jaden’s orders from the previous night, Hope had immediately transmitted an emergency assembly notice to every member of the Warlord Division. However, not all of them could answer the summons. Lysandra was still carrying out a long-range operation near the northern frontier, Ronan had yet to report back from an infiltration mission, and Valeria was somewhere in the eastern provinces hunting down a notorious insurgent group. For the moment, only three Warlords had arrived at headquarters.Commander Drax.Kaiden Ashcroft. And the Iron Warlord himself…Ares Voss. The sight of Ares alone was enough to make ordinary soldiers unconsciously step aside whenever he walked through the halls. Standing nearly seven feet tall, the giant looked less like a human being and more like a fortress given life. His broad shoulders seemed capable of blocking an entire doorway

  • Plan to rescue Donald Winston

Jaden stepped out of the shattered conference room as though nothing extraordinary had happened. Behind him, the luxurious chamber was left in complete ruin, its expensive furniture reduced to splinters while Vin and Jin remained unconscious beneath piles of broken debris. Several guards stared at him from a distance, but not a single one dared to move. They had witnessed enough to understand that stopping the King of War was nothing more than wishful thinking. Jaden calmly adjusted the collar of his coat, slipped both hands into his pockets, and walked back toward the grand banquet hall with the same composed expression he had worn when he first arrived.By the time he entered the gala, the atmosphere had changed completely. The once lively hall was beginning to empty as influential guests slowly departed after concluding their private discussions. Elegant music still echoed through the ballroom, servants continued serving wine, and businessmen exchanged polite smiles, but Jaden’s sh

Harry’s smile had disappeared completely. His fingers slowly clenched into fists.Elias shifted his attention toward Golden Marlon.“And then…”“The Marlon Family.”Golden remained silent.“Your family’s weapons business once dominated the entire continent.”“You supplied governments…”“…private contractors…”“…security firms…”“And countless underground organizations.”“You became wealthy because violence was profitable.”Golden narrowed his eyes.“But then the Special Forces discovered your shipments.”“They uncovered evidence that your weapons were arming terrorist groups, criminal syndicates, drug cartels, and warlords.”“The King of War personally authorized sanctions against your family.”“You were forced to terminate every illegal contract.”“Now…”“You manufacture almost exclusively for government agencies.”“Your profits have dropped dramatically.”Golden slowly lowered his head.Elias smiled knowingly.“So tell me…”“Was it really the law that ruined your business?”“…or was
